The outside of the hotel looked good. The lobby made you wonder how the room was going to be. Hallways needed better cleaning. The room was very small, felt confined and like I wish I had slippers. Old tv. Went down for breakfast and decided to go to McDonald's. nasty coffee and food

I was checked in at 4:30pm, assigned to a first floor room with a queen size bed. The room was ok and bed was large and comfortable. Pretty soon, I found that the bathroom could not flush. I went to the front desk and the gentleman was pretty nice and came to repair the bathroom right away. The chain of the flush mechanism was disconnected, he reconnected it and said that if it did not work, he would change the room for me. An hour or so later, I discovered that the chain was disconnected again, so he moved me to the third floor in room 309. As soon as I entered the room and put my luggage away, I went to get some ice, when I exited the room, the interior door handle came right off the door. I went downstairs again, this time, I was assigned right next door to room 307. I swore to myself that I would move out the hotel if this room did not work. Fortunately it did. The rest of the stay was adequate, but the facility was literally falling apart.

Hotel seemed as if it was going out of business. The snack machine was empty. The breakfast was a couple of bagels and a few boxed sugar covered donuts. The room was clean. The linens were old with a couple of tears but also very clean. The staff was very nice and made you feel welcome. All in all I got exactly what I paid for

Third floor room, elevator didn't work, got up there and the key didn't work, got another key and it didn't work, moved to another room and that key didn't work, got another key and it worked. About an hour to get into my room. The room itself was OK, big enough and good air conditioning. Tiny sink area. Beds were fine. I always seem to go for the cheapest brand name hotel so I guess I deserve this place. I got a good nights sleep for about $50 so I guess I shouldn't complain. If my family was with me I would have left.

The second floor reeks of cigarettes, the hallways are a mess and the elevator is prone to breaking down. The location is convenient being right by two grocery stores and close enough to the highway to get their easily without hearing it at night. The room was in solid shape, though the bar for the shower curtain was starting to break free of the wall (it was curved and rotated freely, so it didn't sit in the correct position, but held the curtain in that position just fine). The hallway carpets were stained. The window shades in the hallway were broken. The AC worked. No bedbugs or other nonsense. Altogether, it wasn't bad for a bottom of the barrel hotel. Maintenance could use some work, but I'd consider going there again. Sheets were better than you usually get at hotels. Maids seemed incompetent. Management was helpful.

I got absolutely no sleep. The mattress was like sleeping on card board. Room was hot and had a foul odor. Tube TV with broken remote. Chairs had stains all over them from god knows what. I've considered a round of penicillin or cipro. I would have been better off sleeping in my truck and it certainly would have been cleaner. The website photos are totally deceiving. I thought I was getting a decent room for a good rate. I should have just dished out the extra $40 and stayed at a hampton inn or something comparable.

Yes this hotel is worn out. Unclean restrooms, worn out beds, stained and smelly carpets. Even the vending machines were empty! Very young staff was not very helpful locating anything other than pizza and gas. Will skip this place in the future!

Room was very dirty and smelled. We tried 3 different rooms before finding one that we could tolerate after opening the window. Second floor hallway was full smoke. Couldn't just leave and get a refund since we had already paid Expedia and not the hotel. Also there was not much of a breakfast, cold cereal and a couple of muffins. You would think that the Wydham chain we have some sort of standards...guess not.

Right off of I77 but very quiet.The carpet was old and stained.Needs to replace carpet and TV. They need to either change the brand of coffee or make it more often. The coffee was very strong! !!!

I could not recommend that anyone stay at this property. While it was supposed to be smoke free, even the staff were smoking. The rooms were not clean, the A/C did not work and once I checked in I could not check out without paying for the whole stay. Poor maintenance, training and policies here.

Smelled like smoke, yet oddly, you had to sign a document saying you would not smoke in the building. Beds sagged in the middle. Leftover razors and trash in bathtub. Generally, a fairly dirty place.

The pictures that were taken to represent the motel must have been taken somewhere else! The whole place was very run-down. If I had not been pushed for time I would have gone elsewhere. The hotel was located in a great spot, and I was just looking for a clean place to sleep-- nothing special. It was the dirtiest hotel I have ever slept in, and I was greatly disappointed. Holes in the walls, dirt/dust so thick on the bathroom fan, musty heater, carpets were soiled. Never again will I stay at such a hotel. I like cheap, no frills, but not cheap and filthy.

Not a good experience at all. As the person responsible for coordinating travel for my News organization, it was the first time I'd placed our crews at a Microtel. We normanly use hotels with a minimum 4 star rating. Because of the Democratic Nat'l Convention, hotel blocks were placed on our standard hotels of use. We pre-paid for 5 night stay through Expedia, but the conditions of this location were substandard and my crew members which occupied 7 rooms departed the next day (as soon as other accomodations were secured).

First of all, none of the pictures from the Hotels.com website are representative of the hotel once you arrive. The online photo shows a clean modern room, flatscreen TV, a nice nig bathroom, etc. The room was gross, stains everywhere, an old TV, a microscopic sink outside the bathroom, no hairdryer, and the breakfast was about as unprofessional as it began comes. I am really surprised that Microtel allows this hotel to continue an affiliation with their name. It is in a nice area and we did walk for dinner. There was a domestic dispute in the hallway by our room. My children got quite an earful. Don't subject yourself or your loved ones to this place.

The first thing I should say is that security is lax here; one of the lobby doors and one stairwell door do not lock, so be aware of that. However, this is in a very small-town area with low crime rates. This issue would have bothered me more in a different city. I stayed here with my brother for several nights while visiting family. The breakfast is okay, but no hot food is there - mostly cereal, pastries, Oreos, a fruit salad, cold hardboiled eggs, etc. Parking is a problem at times - there are two "lanes" marked off in the center so that people can always get out of the lot, but people kept parking there and blocking off spaces. The overall appearance is very outdated and worn down. The walls are mirrored, the air vents need cleaning, and the whole place is a bit musty becuase most second floor rooms permit smoking. If you are looking for a modern, locked motel, go elsewhere. However, if you just need a place to crash at night, this is not bad. The beds were clean and the staff is friendly.

I found the location very convenience, since I am a walker and a shopper the area was safe and near a shopping center. Every year since 2005 we have always stayed at this hotel, the staff are very nice.

Nice staff but hotel needs major updating. Not like the pictures. Our bathroom was smaller than a closet and the sink wasn't even in the bathroom but out in the room. No hairdryer either. The breakfast was less than what we have had other places with the exception of a very nice fruit bowl! I hope they do some updating because the staff was very helpful and eager to please. It was fairly clean but not great.

We needed a place for one night during a lengthy road trip. The price was excellent and so was the location. The room was clean and comfortable. No frills, but just right to rest up before and after a long day's drive. I was surprised that the coffee at breakfast was quite good and fresh fruit salad was offered. The neighborhood is charming; lots of places to eat and plenty of sidewalks and shops for a nice stroll after dinner. Staff was very helpful and polite. Excellent value.

This hotel is in a good location off I-77, with many shops and services nearby. My room was very small, and not very clean. There was a decent tv, but no coffee maker or hairdryer in the room. The breakfast was rather meager as well. A computer terminal in the lobby was available to allow guests to access the internet.

Bed was wet and at 11:30 at night we were changing to another room. It was cleaner then the first one. the night clerk was very helpful and apologetic for the inconvenience. But the manager was very rude and didn't feel we were inconvenienced in any way. I will never stay at that motel again.

This hotel is very conveniently located to all the places I needed to be in the Cornelius / Huntersville area. The room was clean but not "eat off the floor" clean, if you know what I mean. The staff were attentive to their duties and friendly and cooperative. The room was quiet, the bed comfortable, the water hot. What more can one ask for. Overall, the hotel shows signs of minor neglect but is clean and organized without funky odors or bugs. For the price, it's an OK place to stay and I would certainly recommened to anyone needing a place to stow your stuff and rest your head for the evening. If you want concierge service and the smell of brasso on highly polished hand rails, with turn-down service and chocolates on the pillow, go somewhere that offers it.

This was a very clean and comfortable pet friendly hotel and as we were traveling with our 2 dogs, the pet fee was reasonable. Beds were extremely comfortable and staff was friendly and helpful. The location is great as there were good restaurants within walking distance. Just a very nice stay for us.
