Rica Hotel Gamla Stan - Stockholm 59.32286, 18.07019

Good location. Room very small - difficult to get around bed without banging head on wall mounted television. Bathroom in need of renovation - cracked and stained basin, toilet squeezed into too small a space. Stand available to put suitcases on but no space to put it without blocking route. Only two small pillows. No tea/coffee making facilities. No bar. Dirty glass not replaced when room was cleaned. Very nice staff and good breakfast. Room would have been OK with a single bed instead of a double but bathroom was unpleasant. Good location for restaurants and shops nearby but in a side street so only noise was from trains. I thought is was expensive for what we got but I guess they can get away with charging that much for the location and the historic building.

The hotel is in a great location and the staff is wonderful. Its very clean and charming. The breakfast is great too!

Perfect hotel in the very best location for getting to know a delightful city. The hotel is like an elegant glove box with chandeliers, antiques, an efficient three-person elevator, helpful staff, and magnificent breakfast. Our room on the top floor was quite large, comfy and romantic. If you require the services, and might I add pretenses - of a "grand" hotel or if you want views, this is not for you.

Hotel was located in the old part of Stockholm and was not easy to find. It was old, but well kept, and a little noisier than I'm accustomed to. Although the building is brick, the inner walls were a bit thin, so noise was easily heard in the room. Small, but comfortable and good price for a short stay. I would rate it about a 3.5 star rating.

Great location, clean and comfortable hotel, very good breakfast, reception staff very friendly and helpful. Room at back a bit noisy due to plant/generators (?) at rear when open windows but very clean and well furnished.

I stayed here for 4 nights while attending a conference at the Convention Centre. The hotel is small but comfortable and the staff extremely helpful. The rooms are all individuaI with no feel of a chain hotel. I had a lot of noise the first night of my stay and they moved my things without a problem to a different room. Breakfast was buffet style and kept me going when there was very little catering at the conference. A great spot for sightseeing from and convenient for the Metro and City Centre. Would recommend and will return

Excellent hotel in the heart of Old Stockholm, convenient to city transportation, shops and restaurants. Accommodations are a bit tight, but the hotel is well maintained. The hotel staff is courteous and well informed. Fantastic breakfast. I would definitely stay there again.

Hotel was very nice, reception very friendly, the room was a little small, but for the price I can't complain. The location is very convenient if you plan on using the tram our walking around Gamla Stan. The free breakfast is pretty simple it was towards end of our trip and had the same breakfast at other hotels. We skipped the breakfast for a more variety.

Very nice small hotel in the center of old town Stockholm. Close to the castle etc. Have stayed here twice now and always a pleasure on every level.

Enjoyed our stay, Stockholm was wonderful and the Rica Hotel was a very good spot from which to sight-see, check out the Christmas Markets and explore the old town. The hotel was conveniently located within the old town (Gamla Stan) & an easy walk from many of the major sights - about 30 mins to the central bus/train stations and the same to Skansen park. The rooms are old but clean and reasonably comfortable - very soft mattresses and two singles rather than a double. Breakfast was a good buffet. I'd stay here again.

The Rica Hotel Gamla Stan was my husband's first visit to Stockholm and he loved it. I have been to the City on several occasions and I loved it, too. Lovely location. Very neat,tidy, helpful and friendly with a breakfast smorgasbord which was a5 star start to the day. We had a top floor room where we could see the church spires and hear the bells. To be able to open the windows and not be over heated (as with many other hotels) was a great boon. There was only one short coming and that was the bathroom. The sink was too small to either wash your face or for a man to properly shave. The shower was not only too small for me at 5'3" but also for a rugby player was a contortionist's nightmare. Nonetheless, we would very gladly return.

The Rica Gamla Stan is located perfectly! So close to the tunnelbana(subway), near Vasterlanggatan(shopping street!), wonderful restaurants close by (such as Sally's!). I would love to stay again, and will if I ever go back to Stockholm.

Nice central location but small room. Very neat and tidy. Great included breakfast. We would stay again as we like hotels with character.

Excellent location in Gamla Stan with access to two bus stops , metro, and ferry. Breakfast was delish, with lots of choices and always full. Good restaurants near by. Desk staff were extemely helpful. All & all areally super stay.

This is the second time I've stayed at the Hotel Rica Gamla Stan. It is a charming and comfortable hotel located in the "perfect" location for visiting the old sections of Stockholm. I highly recommend this hotel.

the breakfast was a dream..staff very accommodating ...best location in the old town...even opened the breakfast room early for our early checkout... great spot.

Lille centralt hotel, med det der skal være på værelset. Morgenmaden er til 5 stjerner (og det er langt bedre de storer hoteller i Gamla Stand). Rengøringen er ikke på højde med den øvrige service, men kan gå ved få dages ophold.

Zimmer nicht groß, aber gemütlich. Frühstücksbuffett gut. Trotz zentraler Lage ruhig.

nel cuore del centro vicino a tutto, non troppo grande ma molto carino, ottimo servizio, a 20 minuti di camminata dalla stazione centrale.

Hotel charmant très bien situé mais les chambres 101,201,301,401 ont du mal à contenir votre valise en plus de votre lit ! Bref ces chambres ont une taille "sarkozienne" !

mysigt gammalt hotell med perfekt läge,ända nackdelen var att när vi skulle äta frukost var det så fullt i den lilla matsalen att man fick vänta på ett ledigt bord,tråkigt också att det inte fanns alkohol på hotellet (,men det finns ett systembolag på andra sidan gatan).

Mycket trevligt hotell, fint inrett och fräscht. Perfekt läge i Gamla stan med gångavstånd och nära till allt. Ett litet minus var att frukostrummet var väldigt litet vilket gjorde att vi fick vänta på att få sittplats båda dagarna vi bodde där. Men det gjorde ju inte allt för mycket och jag kan absolut rekommendera detta hotell och skulle gärna bo där igen.

My standards are pretty high, because I do quite a lot of business travel. It's becoming really hard for my to accept lower standards for leisure, and this hotel lives up to every one of them! That is: clean, good service, conveniently located and good breakfast on site. I absolutely prefer old-fashioned, or historically interesting, even quaint, buildings to modern concrete and glass. This hotel had the cutest, tiniest elevator I've ever seen—impractical when you bring huge bags, but it worked out for us. Great breakfast, with both Swedish specialities and American pancakes!

Gamle lokaler med sjarm og atmosfære. Rommet og spisesalen pent møblert . Moderne, nyrenovert bad. Super beliggenhet i turistløypa. Titalls restauranter og barer i gangavstand, og shopping et par T-bane stasjoner unna. Dette kan anbefales.

koselig hotell bra beliggenhet - badet veldig lite på vårt rom-servanten i veien når du satt på toalettet -koselig takterrasse med blomster-hyggelig betjening

Man burde på Hotel Rica overveje at udvide morgenmadsrummet, da der er laaaaaaang vente tid!

Lite, sjarmerende hotell, svært sentralt i Gamla stan. Små rom, god frokost, hyggelig betjening. Noe støy utenfra. Mange spisesteder og shoppingmuligheter i nærheten.

Hotellet var fullbokat, vår bokning hade inte kommit in i hotellets bokningssystem, så vi fick åka taxi till Rica Hotel Stockholm på Slöjdgatan. Mycket trevligt hotell måste jag säga!

Al terzo piano camere molto piccole, e tende non sufficientemente oscuranti. E questo in Svezia a giugno è un bel problema.

Topp beliggenhet, litt trange rom, og med god frokost.

Das Hotel hat eine Superlage in der Altstadt, wenige Gehminuten von allen Sehenswürdigkeiten dort entfernt. Die Zimmer sind liebevoll in historischem Stil gestaltet, lediglich der Kleiderschrank ist etwas zu klein. Das Bad ist modern mit allen nötigen Annehmlichkeiten. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die kostenlose Tasse Tee oder Kaffee im hübschen Foyer haben wir nach unseren Rundgängen sehr genossen. Bei schönem Wetter kann man sich sogar auf der Dachterrasse erholen.

Hvorfor: Topp beliggenhet! Fantastisk deilig frokost med stort utvalg, servert på hjemmekoselig og herksapelig vis. Herlig nyoppusset rom uten tepper. Vakre Lysekroner. Deilig seng. Stor flatskjerm. Svært hyggelig, hjelpsom og kunnskapsrik betjening i resepsjonen.

l' albergo di classe l'ho vedi dalle finiture, da come funziona la doccia, da come scorre l' acqua dai rubinetti; questo è un albergo di classe; poi la centralità.. se vi par poco essere a un passo - letteralmente- dalla piazza di gamla stan e dall' incontro fra malarem e baltico.. e poi le viuzze, i ristorantini a due passi.. insomma bellissimo; unico neo, camere un po' piccole

Bevarandet av de gamla möblerna bidrog till den värme jag kände när jag klev in i rummet. Mycket smakfullt inredda rum.

Hotellet var meget greitt både når det gjaldt service og frokost

Vi er strålende fornøyd med oppholdet med Hotel Rica Gamla Stan. Rommet var fint, komfortable senger og fint bad. Frokostenbuffeten var svært bra, med et godt utvalg og bra kvalitet.

Nu är det tredje gången jag väljer att bo på hotell Gamla stan och är lika nöjd denna gången som de förra. Missa inte den utsökta frukosten i mysiga matsalen

Förväntade mig ett mysigt hotell i äldre stil och precis så var det. Genuin känsla med väldigt trevlig personal och en fantastiskt välkomponerad frukostbuffé. Rummet vi hade var inte jättestort men väldigt mysigt och riktigt fräscht, perfekt städat och nyrenoverad mycket fin toalett med dusch viket jag definitivt uppskattar. Varit på femstjärniga hotell med avsevärt sämre standard. Ett perfekt hotell för en romantisk weekend som ligger utmärkt positionerat mitt i Gamla Stan. Gulstjärna! Hotellet är alkoholfritt så man bör tänka på att själv ta med vin om man vill nyttja de två vinglasen på rummet, enda minus då jag förutsatt att det skulle finnas vin i minibaren. Finns Systembolag rakt över gatan men hade vid vår vistelse tyvärr hunnit stänga.
