Traveling with two little kids (5 & 1), we had the junior suite. It was very clean and spacious (paris hotels are notorious for small rooms). Staff were very accomodating, friendly and helpful. Location is great with the RER and metro right outside doorsteps. Starbucks just outside, two malls within blocks and a good shopping area while most major sites are within 30 minute walking. Reccomend.

The room was a little small but had twin beds, desk, chair, closet, and luggage stand. The windows opened and there was a fan available in the room if needed. Good cafes in the neighborhood. Metro station very close. We would use this hotel again.

This was our second stay at Hotel de Vendome and it topped the excellent experience that we enjoyed in November 2010. We were upgraded to a corner deluxe suite for an anniversary trip and welcomed with red rose petals in the room. Every detail of the hotel is first class with a very warm and friendly staff. Breakfast in the room every morning was a luxury followed by a walk in the Tuileries just a block from the hotel. If you're looking for the ultimate elegant boutique Parisian hotel, then you'll find it here. We'll be coming back to this one again. Bon voyage.

Good service and a decent area, very convinent location with a market of all food and goods! 2 mins walk from metro! Just a little far from center paris! Good service and polite reception!

Located in Nanterre (La Defense), Mercure Paris La Defense Parc is close to Parc du Millenaire, Leonardo da Vinci Engineering School, and Grande Arche. Also nearby are CNIT Convention Center and Les Quatre Temps Shopping Center.

This high-rise business city glitters to the west of Paris at the far end of the Grande Axe. Centrepiece is La Grande Arche, a vast hollow cube containing office and exhibition space, an information centre and a rooftop viewpoint. An IMAX cinema and a huge shopping centre with cafés and brasseries attract tourists as well as office-workers. Sculptures, mosaics and fountains add life the skyscraper surroundings.

"Great Hotel for the price!"
Great hotel, rooms are small but maximized use of space, makes them comfortable. Rooms are clean. Breakfast buffet was very good. Located in quiet neighborhood. Market and restaurants within hotel block. RER next door to hotel; convenient for traveling to any part of Paris and surroundings.
"Great value and east access to the center of Paris"
Mecure Nanterre is a little further out from La Defense (10 min walk). The hotel is less than a minute walking distance from the RER stop. So you can walk/train from CDG to the hotel. Center of Paris is only 10 min on the train - great value, quiet and convenient.
"Nice hotel in a business area, close to city"
We spent two nights in a wonderful hotel in the outskirts of Paris. The time of travel was between XMas and New Year and since the hotel is located on a business area a bit further from the city centre the area was really quiet. The restaurant in the hotel only served a few different salads as dinner, nothing else but all the other times it should be […] open. We had a studio room, a big room with cooking possibilities. We also booked a special rate through hotels.com which included breakfast (buffet, good) in the room price. As a nice surprise we also had 2-days metro tickets in the reservation! The city is close, only rough 10 minutes from the hotel by RER train. The Nanterre-Prefecture station is located under the hotel so easy to reach. Area was quiet with some pizzerias around the square and the hotel restaurant of course. The personnel was helpful and provided us with nice maps of the city and metros. The parking garage was also underneath the hotel and safe. The hotel was easy to reach from the ring road by car. All in all, I'd warmly recommend the hotel to everybody visiting Paris, especially by car and/or with children. Read more
"Convenient hotel - not cleaned when checked in."
The hotel wasn't fancy but was practical. Very convenient location right on top of a metro station. Room wasn't cleaned upon check in (or awful job); hair in bed and in shower. Dealt with in timely manner but not good first impression. WIth this exception was satisfied.
"Double Payment"
Got a great deal, very convenient to metro (Metro pass included in price). Already paid online in advance but had to pay again at check-out and then request a refund. A Dutch couple were also having a similar problem.

"Ourside LaDefense"
The staff at the hotel was not really helpful. When I asked for suggestions for restaurants in the are she said she could only recommend the hotel resaturant. But the menu was really poor. I ate at the 2 italian close by and they were good enough. The room I had was next to the elevator so quite noicy. The carpets felt dirty. They had nice wooden floor […] under the table but not in rest of the room, why not? It is so much cleaner with wooden flooring. My second towel was dirty. The breakfast was really expensive 17€. Not worth it. It is close to La Defense area, but the way to go there is a bit rough between the flyover and the street is like a dumparea. Not nice. Price was alright, but I would only stay here again is everything else was fully booked. Read more
"Für den Kurztrip nach Paris ideal"
Das Hotle ist an sich ein Busnieshotel. Ich war privat dort und habe die sehr gute Verbindung zur Stadtmitte geschätzt. Mit RER (gleich vor der Türe!) nur 10 Minuten bis zum Place d'Étoile! Für das eigene Auto gibt es gegen Gebühr einen sicheren TG Stellplatz. Frühstücksbuffet ordentlich.

"Good value to price"
The room was very spacious and the bed was really good. The bathroom was also big. The room had good amenities. There were nice and low-price restaurants nearby. The bathroom could have been cleaned better i.e. there were some dirty spots on the wall although there may have been just a careless leaner. Anyway really good value to the price.

Det ligger lidt udenfor selve Paris, men der er en RER station lige udenfor - desværre ikke metro. God morgenmade og nydeligt omend små værelser.

Bon hôtel, mais situé dans un quartier d'affaires désert le week-end. A proximité du RER.

Hôtel satisfaisant; personnel très agréable, prévenant et compétent; mais vibrations intenses dues au RER et problème de chauffage dans la chambre.
"Prima voor een korte Parijs trip"
Hotel ligt ca 1 km van Grand Arche, bereikbaar over een boulevard. RER station is direct onder het hotel. De RER brengt je in 10 minuten voor ca €2,- pp naar het centrum van Parijs. Net hotel met mooie, schone en ruime kamers. Parkeergarage tegen redelijk tarief.
