Stayed for 4 nights. Thin walls - Could hear shower in the next room, and the pipes banging when the tap was turned off & on. Description said there was an in-room safe, which there wasn't. Room price high for quality & amenities. No wifi, but Internet connection was reasonably priced.

Clean and tidy. Comfortable beds, quiet room quiet location. Courtyard needs regular maintenance though but may be cleaner in summer. Nice meals, neat restaurant. Receptionist had too many roles - meet n greet, serving drinks, taking meal orders - seemed tired and grumpy as if she begrudged being there. We used this hotel as our last night before getting an early flight from Brisbane Airport. It was further from the airport than I thought it would . This is a small. older hotel. The room was cramped. It was very quiet for a city location. When I checked in, the desk clerk told me that the security key pad lock for the garage was not reliable and I […] should call the reception desk number if I had trouble. True to her word, the key pad code I was given did not work to get me into or out of the garage. I paid for internet service which is a wired DSL connection in the room. I was told that it could be a bit slow. I do not know if that is true because I could never get it to work at all. The staff that I met were very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is mixed residential and commercial. Other than the restaurant on the premises, there were no restaurants within a few blocks walking distance. Chinatown is pretty close with a variety of Asian restaurants. Read more

This hotel is very conveniently located, and even though it is on Gregory Terrace, the location is lovely and quiet. Located on a hill, the views are quite stunning. The amenities such as the pool and cafe/restaurant are well maintained and lovely to use. There is currently renovation works in this hotel, but the only indication of renovation works […] was the smell of super glue that seeped into the rooms in the morning. Otherwise, any noise is kept to a bare minimum. The only downer was due to the occupants in the room next door to me because they were sitting out on their balcony at 12:30am talking and drinking, but they went to bed at 1am, so I was able to sleep soundly after that. This is not a reflection of the hotel. Simply a fact that guests should respect their neighbours if using a hotel's balcony so late at night. Checking in and out was easy and professional. From the outside it looks kinda rundown but don't let that confuse you. The room provided was spacious,clean,it had an ipod docking device,flat screen TV,bathroom was absolutely stunning,small fully stocked fridge (items cost extra!). I used the "mystery Hotel" offer on Expedia which offered 40% off the usual rate. At this rate it was good value, but not if it was 40% dearer. It had a good restaurant (not fancy) at reasonable prices. There was free undercover parking and on the two occasions I called a taxi they were there quickly. Chosen because of its convenience to the Hospital. The Building is quite old, but some refurbishment has been done. The bed was very comfortable and the linen good quality. Silly annoying things, like there was no hot water as apparently the plumbers were working on something, and we think they could have told us at check in as we wasted heaps of water […] (so precious in Brisbane) waiting for it to heat up. Also the electric kettle was extremely difficult to use without spilling boiling water everywhere. We have no complaints about the condition of the hotel itself or our room. Excellent view over Brisbane city from the high level location. It was the attititude of almost all members of the staff, with whom we came into contact. It was almost as though they did not want us there.

We stayed here on New Year's Eve because of its location and price (plus the fact that it had free parking!) It turned out to be a wonderful choice as the room was clean, the balcony had a great view of the city and the best thing was the bed. There was never anyone at the front desk; the manager seemed surprised and confused when i was waiting there to check-in having just rung the bell that said "please ring bell if front desk unattended"; having rung the bell on my second visit […] to the front desk i was informed that there was not internet access in the motel even though there was ethernet cable in the room displaying a note "enquire at front desk for internet access"; having rung the bell on my third visit to the front desk and being sold a bottle of water by yet another staff member i was told "yes there is internet access but you need to purchase an access card... but you have to see the manager to do that... she's not here so you should come back later"; i did go back later and i was able to obtain an intenet access card which didn't with the ethernet cable plugged in... because they have wi-fi... of course i should have known. Everything was great with the hotel, and the service was great. The pool was small, only three sunchairs, but since noone else used it, that worked fine for us, However, the hotel is really far from everything. There is a 30 minute walk to get to the city center, and there is nothing in the vicinity of the hotel to do.

Es handelte sich bei unserem Zimmer um ein überteuertes, mit uralten Möbel, die fast alle schon kaputte Stellen hatten, und einem total dreckigen Teppich ausgestattetes Zimmer. Das Zimmer war ausserdem sehr klein und verglichen mit anderen Hotels in australischen Städten wie Sydney oder Cairns den Preis überhaupt nicht wert. Wir würden dort nicht mehr […] absteigen. Perfekt som udgangspunkt for Brisbane centrum, kun 15 minuntters gå-afstand. Flot udsigt fra "city veiw" værelserne over byen. Dejlig restaurant med gårdhave og swimmingpool. Fri parkering i hotellets kælder.
