"Pleasant Setting and Charming Family"Reviewed by Norman T of "Dallas, TX" on Apr 17, 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

"Small, but great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on Mar 31, 2012
Free wifi, friendly staff, and great location make this hotel a winner. The room was a little cramped, but it gets the job done.
"Beautiful place!"Reviewed by Nancy El of "London" on Mar 28, 2012
We stayed one night at this B&B on our way to Bath. It's very convenient if you have a car; parking is free and it's an easy and quick trip into the city. The place itself is absolutely wonderful. The pub serves excellent food with excellent atmosphere; the room was decorated beautifully with a very comfortable bed; and the bath was to die for! Bath was HUGE and had a fantastic deep soaking tub (with room for 2!) and huge walk-in shower. The decor of room and bath is very modern and sleek but still comfortable, and the room still has plenty of old character features. I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone staying in the area. In addition, the staff and owner are very pleasant as well.

"Lovely Hotel in Great Location"
We reserved just the basic room but it was wonderful. Large, with a large bathroom. We valet checked the car (for free!) and didn't need it again while in Bath. Everything we wanted to see was within walking distance. Breakfast was included and was nice. The people were friendly and helpful. The Royal Crescent is really interesting. I'm not we would […] have seen it if we weren't staying there. I didn't have a chance to use the spa but it looked like the prices were pretty reasonable for such a posh hotel. We will return. "Needs to sharpen up its act"
The location is perfect, the overall ambience classy and the reception and concierge staff very good. Public areas (lounges) very pleasant. Dinner in the restaurant was an excellent gourmet-style meal. However: there is no tea and coffee making equipment in the rooms and morning tea for two from room service is £8. The worst thing of all was the breakfast […] - £20 a head for poor buffet with wilting fruit, burnt fried bread and generally inferior "full English", cold toast, not enough butter, shortage of marmalade and poor service. I don't mind paying £20 for breakfast in a 5* hotel if it's a luxury breakfast - but I had a better one in a motorway service area the day before for £5.99! Read more
"Finally, A Cold Air Conditioner"
Our week-long vacation in July took us to 5-star properties across southwest England and Wales. This was the only one of six "luxury" hotels we stayed at which had an American-quality COLD air conditioner! Of course, the hotel was magnificent, historic, first-rate, the staff was great, etc., but what made the Royal Crescent memorable was its awesome […] air conditioner. Go to the Royal Crescent and sleep comfortably with the windows closed and the air sweet and cool inside your room (the beds are awesome, too). Read more

"Excellent hotel"
My wife and I spent three days at the Royal Crescent. The service was exceptional and we found the room very comfortable. Our only criticisms were there were no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, and the wifi was rather unreliable. But everything else about the stay was perfect.

"Royal Crescent Hotel"
We had a very relaxing time at the Royal crescent - the staff are wonderful and the service excellent. Unfortunately there are some maintenance issues at the hotel -- we had an issue with the plumbing in our bathroom (we were immediately moved to another room- no effort on our part) - but dont let this put you off - they have just been given the go […] ahead from the new owners to start an upgrade of the facilities - there are some basic maintenance issues in some of the rooms but in general this does not distract from the overall comfort of the hotel and the service makes up for any shortfalls - we will go back in a few months to see how things are progressing! "Royal Crescent Hotel Bath- amazing place to stay"
This was an amazing experience from the moment we arrived. Valet parking, fantastic service, and absolutely beautiful surroundings. The staff were so incredibly kind and courteous, it felt like stepping back in time. The hotel itself was so beautiful, wonderfully decorated and furnished. Our room was exquisite, of the highest standard. The beds were […] wonderfully comfortable, with lovely soft pillows and gorgeous bedding. The spa experience was also excellent, very tranquil. I chose to have a massage treatment, and the masseuse was incredible, I can thoroughly recommend. The restaurant was beautiful and the food fantastic, although the portions a little on the petite size. The concierge were very helpful, providing local maps and recommendations of the local restaurants and places of interest. The only thing I would not recommend was eating at Jamie Oliver's Italian restaurant in Bath itself- awful. You will not be disappointed staying at this hotel. Read more

"Royal Crescent Hotel, Bath"
Very expensive and far from good value. Having stayed at the Savoy in London and the Taj Mahal in Mumbai I am familiar with luxury end hotels and this falls far short. The rooms are tired looking and in need of refurbishment, particularly the bathrooms. Service is excellent, if expensive, and the afternoon tea a delight although at £22.50 each it is […] on the pricely side. All rooms are non smoking, there are no draught beers in the bars and, when they have a private function as when we were there, the staying guests are quite forgotten. I would not stay there again given the cost against the amenities. Read more
"Stilfullt i Bath"
Nydelig, stilfullt hotell med lekkert SPA og sjarmerende hage mellom hotellets bygninger. Fantastisk (men dyr) restaurant. Flott beliggenhet i vakkert område, rett ved en park og med vidstrakt utsikt. Sentralt i forhold til alle severdigheter i Bath.
"Excelente hotel"
Equipe competente, muito atenciosa. Excelente serviço, tudo excelente!
