This is a good choice if North Vancouver is your destination. Lots of shopping and eating in the market below the hotel, which is also where the parking is located. The more upscale and higher priced rooms get you further out towards the water, which can be worth it in terms of quiet and view.

Location
Located 5 km (3 mi) from Vancouver International Airport, this three-story Richmond hotel is 10 km (10 mi) from downtown. The River Rock Casino Resort is three blocks from the property and provides complimentary shuttle pick up and drop off.

I stayed at this hotel for two days. It was the same rate as La Quinta (two blocks away), but its quality was far lower. 1. The construction (and paint) of the walls and hallways is old and poorly done. 2. The wireless internet access was slow at best (for a short time), and then stopped working completely. 3. "OKAY"
For one night it was adequate - old and tired - requires updating. In morning when I was being picked up by friends, they couldn't find me registered at the registration desk - so they had to call my cell!! You get what you pay for...

My stay at the Executive Inn was possibly the worst hotel experience I have ever had, and I have traveled a good amount. First room smelled like smoke, moved us to another room, smelled as bad or worse then the first. The room was clean, but everything is WAY outdated and the bathroom was gross, with the finishing on the sink chipped away exposing the […] bare metal bottom. Topper was the front desk help being more rude to me then any other food/hotel service person I have experienced when I called to get another access code for a second computer we had. Arrived late at night after traveling all day. Night staff unfriendly and unable to help me connect to "free" internet. Arrived in room. Very dirty. Lots of (someone else's) hair all over shower. Had to sleep with towels (we brought with us) over pillow cases as they were o dirty. Door to our room barely locked, did not feel safe. My husband arrived […] for "free" breakfast to dining room where every table was piled with dirty dishes. Staff offered to pay my husband to wash all the dishes (no thanks!). Staryed here for location close to airport. Didn't get any sleep. Hot room, noisy A/C that didn't cool room. Low quality room in low quality hotel.

"airport exec suites"
Clean room, traffic heavy from nearby streets but convenient to airport. desk guy doesn't try hard, could have told me the elevator is closed off after 10 PM and could have volunteered precise info that's needed for internet connection so that I would have to call back with failed connection. The only 2 positives are: closeness to the airport and low price, otherwise it's a 2 star hotel with no ambitions.
"Serves its purpose"
Very dirty and unappealing hotel, but you can't beat its proximity to the airport and the Skytain. It's perfect if you've come in on the late Cathay Pacific flight and just need a place to crash, but it's very noisy and terribly maintained.

There was special room rate that attracted me to book at this hotel. For that rate, the quality is quite appropriate. My overall review of this hotel would probably be a notch lower should I have gotten their normal rate.

"Overall"
We chose Executive because it had a shuttle from/to the airport. We stayed one night to catch our next day transportaion needs. Was a little disappointed that there were not many choices in the area to have breakfast. Also it was very confusing with the shuttle as there was a Executive Plaza Hotel shuttle which was confusing with the Executive Inn Shuttle. […] Could have better signage on the shuttles. "Best Price Close to the Airport"
Accommodations were OK, although wireless Internet did not work well. Still, was cheapest option close to the airport. And staff in the restaurant were very nice. Very annoying, though: the free airport shuttle came 30 minutes late (although the ride to the airport was only a couple of minutes).

I thought the personnel that work there alone made the stay worthwhile. The clerk at the front desk was friendly and so was the security guard outside.

water stains on ceiling. patched together lino floor. the wine reception (which was part of the reason we booked) didn't happen - restaurant was locked at 5pm??? it was cheap, i'll give it that.

Had call to have somebody fix TV. The food from the restaurant was awful - ended up ordering Panago. The room was fairly comfortable however and I slept well. The free airport shuttle was nice as well.

The rate is always reasonable. The staffs are very friendly and nice. The room is clean and tidy. I must recommend my friends to stay in this hotel when they go to Richmond.
The front desk attendeds were very polite and helpful with information I needed. As a group of 6 we were flying out to mexico. Also they helped out for parking and also shuttled us to the Airport.

I was on a quick stay over night in Vancouver and found this hotel to be clean and close to airport with complimentary shuttle. It's your basic hotel but it served it's purpose well.

Great price for the area, but had to pick up shrimp tails off of the carpet so I wouldn't have to look at them. Kind of gross when you think about it. How often do they vaccum the carpet?

"Executive wastes energy - badly"
My room was about 90 degrees when I arrived with the heat on full blast. I could never cool it down. What a sad waste of energy. Front desk staff very nice though.

"Ok for what it is"
If you're looking for a cheap place to flop for the night before a flight and don't really care about the comfort of the bed or the condition of the room this place will do, any more than that find another place to stay.

The front desk and service personnel were notably excellent. Everyone, from the lobby to maintenance was friendly, extremely helfpul, and professional.

It did the job. If you need somewhere to rest your head for the night then I would recommend Executive Inn Express. If you're looking for modern, updated then I wouldn't recommend this hotel. The room was spacious but was definitely stuck in a different time period. The bathroom facet is made out of the hard plastic from the '80's with a design in the […] centre. My fight was delayed so arrived in Vancouver after shuttle ended for the night, had to pay for taxi, not impressed with that as I had to find my fanny pack and it ended up left in cab and did not get returned.
