"Staff very helpful and pleasant."
Staff were all helpful & pleasant; hotel right next to metro and shops which was really handy with small grandchildren to minimise walking and save time. Rooms adequate - always clean and tidy and at least children had proper beds to sleep in (we had a room for 4 of us). Particularly impressed with quality of restaurant. Had dinner there - lots of lovely […] choices, excellent quality. Breakfasts also good with ample and varied buffet. Overall this hotel was excellent value for money & perfectly OK if price is your key issue. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
The best aspect of the hotel is its location relative to the Metro (Underground). It is just a flight of stairs away! The hotel is also clean, with spacious rooms. Most of the staff are very courteous, friendly and helpful. The breakfast is a veritable feast of cereals, bread and cold meats.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"You get what you pay for."
Finding the hotel car park was not easy. The reception staff were welcoming but there was obviously not enough multilingual staff to deal with questions. The rooms are basic although the bed was comfortable. We stayed one night but would not have stayed there any longer. The staff in the restaurant refused to be flexible over the food we tried to order, […] resulting in a very unnecessarily bad experience. Why could we not have mash potato instead of rice or chips ? "campanile location first"
Final station of line 3 metro just in front of the hotel makes it worth booking. 20 minutes ride to reach everythig you came for. Auchan superstore in the same building complex is convenient. Only negative, rooms are small, lack of fridge was a bummer. Rest ok. I would probably come back.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Worh for Money"
I have stayed along with my wife and 2 yrs kid. Hotel was very near to Metro station and neatness also fine. But, except Saif other receptionists are not so friendly. He was really helpful and polite. Also check in time is not so clearly defined. Overall for the money you paid it is really worth.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"close to the transport links"
The best thing about the hotel is the location close to the transport links. You come out of the metro and walk strain into the hotel - the entrance to the hotel is literally 10 seconds from the Gallieni station. There are plenty of buses as well, including an international coach station - so the hotel could be a great choice for someone arriving to […] Paris by coach. Other pluses: there's a big supermarket and variety of shops just around the corner. Rooms are clean and beds reasonably comfy (though a bit small). There's hospitality tray in the room so you can have a cup of tea whenever you fancy one. Air conditioning works but it's a bit temperamental, sometimes working quickly and sometimes taking its time. Now, the not-so good points. We were in a triple room: two smallish normal beds and one that looked like a folding bed. We didn't have to use but if you do need a triple room beware that the third bed is unlikely to be good for an adult. The room was small but that seems to be a weird Parisian standard. The bathroom's a good size though. The hotel claims to have a free wi-hi in each room but our room was in a corner of the hotel and there was no wi-fi signal, so if you want to use wi-fi avoid corner rooms. The location is not too good for those who like eating out – there’s hotel's restaurant, McDonald's and a couple of small eateries in the shopping centre, but that’s it. If I say three words about the hotel, I can say just "DISGUSTING, DISGUSTING AND DISGUSTING". Dirty and bad smelling, very very small room; rude and disrespectful waiters and staff; dreadful environment and more and more...It is an hotel which is the worst one I have ever stayed before.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good Location but bad rooms"
Room was very small and very badly designed. Only good thing was it is next to metro station. Room service was bad even though I had told not to clean the room. they had entered the room and took all bath towels. And when I asked I had to go and collect from reception. Few reception people were good but few were not helpful.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Fine connectivity but bad internet conenctivity"
Stay was quiet nice but could have been worst because of front office staff. We unfortunately reached around 9:30 due to flight change and requested front office staff to give us the room as i was with a baby but they bluntly told us they dont have room free even when we saw couple of checkouts in front of our eyes.. We then requested the manager and […] he sorted it for us.. But worst front office staff have ever seen. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Jekyll & Hyde: some good some bad."
I can understand why reviews are so divided - a case can be made for rating it or slating it. First, the good. It's close to a metro station - directly above one (Gallieni). The nearest entrance to the Metro to the hotel's front door is perhaps 20 feet away. It occupies the upper floors of a shopping centre, so you have a supermarket and various chain […] stores right on your doorstep too. Although quite a few reviews criticise the staff, I found the four or five I dealt with uniformly helpful. Now, the bad. The area it's in is a total dump. Think London's Elephant & Castle but more dilapidated and with even more discarded garbage. A raised highway surrounds the hotel on both sides - you're staying in the central reservation of a motorway. Perhaps because of this, the hotel windows don't open. In my room, damp had got into the glazing which meant that you couldn't actually see out - absolutely no view and very little natural light. While my room was comfortable it looked like it hadn't been decorated in years - scuff marks on the walls, stains on the lampshades, dirty carpet. I don't massively mind slumming it - but if you've got any class you may well hate this place! Perhaps to sum up - if it's cheap at your time of booking, you're just looking for somewhere easy to get to and from, and you don't expect to spend much time in the room then you may find it ok. If none of those apply, it won't. And if you book it for your honeymoon, better expect a prompt divorce! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean but not romantic"
Clean and extremely close to metro station but was last stop on line 3 so not close to any attractions or city centre. Didn't feel safe in neighbourhood so quickly made our way from metro to hotel each evening. Fire alarm on our floor (labelled 7th floor but in actual fact the 9th floor as first 2 floors formed part of neigbouring shopping centre) went […] off at 7am on our second morning. We fled down the fire stairs along with other guests from our floor with our hearts pounding only to arrive outside to find nothing amiss and the reception staff nonchalantly tell us it was a fault with the system. I could not rest easy for the rest of our stay as the bedroom was so high up it had windows that couldn't open. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Not my future choice"
My sleep was disturbed by what can only be described as a turbine situated on the roof continually starting up, perhaps it was the air conditioning unit. "Pleasant business style hotel"
I arrived at the hotel at what appeared to be a busy time as I stood in reception for a while before someone served me, however when they did all went well and they spoke reasonably good English, which is great as my French is terrible! They explained the hotel policies and advised of the extra cost for breakfast and local taxes on hotel rooms, this […] had already been highlighted on the Expedia website at the time of booking. The room was fairly small and overlooked the local superstore neon sign! The walls had a textured finish and were painted in a mushroom colour, this gave the room a sort of gloomy feel, however it was spotlessly clean and overall well maintained. I tried the TV, there was a full selection of French channels! In this day and age of Satellites I would expect at least an English news channel. I didn't bother with the TV again, but in fairness I didn't go to Paris to watch TV! This might seem a odd point, but the room had only one rubbish bin, which was in the bathroom, I preferred it by the desk, and moved it there, however every day Housekeeping put it back in the bathroom! I don't need it in the bathroom, most rubbish is from discarding empty drinks containers or stuff I have finished reading! The free WiFi was temperamental, it worked most of the time but did keep dropping out. The buffet breakfast had a selection of cereals, cold meats and cheese, fruit and dairy, there was no hot food, which I was expecting at 9€. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great hotel for the price. Definitely recommend!"
Great hotel, clean and room size is allright, we had a 3 bed room, it was a 2 bed room with a pull out bed, the 3rd person dropped out so pleanty of room for us 2 but still would have been ok for 3. The staff were friendly and all spoke english which was great, we were on floor 5 and the hallways can stink sometimes but the room was clean and stench […] free. One down side is that the window does not open and can get very stuffy inside, we stayed in oct/nov so the weather wasnt hot but would have been perfect if the iwndow openend! The location of this hotel is just brilliant, metro is literally right outside the hotel so very handy and easy to get to all the sights from there. There is a shopping mall right next to the hotel and a mcdonalds next door too whicn is open till late, comes in handy when you just cant be bothered to go venture for a resturant. The neighbourhood is not to bad, we didn't explore the area apart from what was directly around the hotel, we found the people to be very friendly and helpful, there were a few homeless people around but they were polite and again friendly and helpful. Would stay here again for sure. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I was disappointed with this hotel. The staff walked into my room twice without knocking.the windows were closed and could only be opened with a charge of seven euros! The staff at the desk especially one guy called Saif were rude and unfriendly will never return to this hotel. The only good thing about it was the location as I took the coach- it was […] right next to the station I will be returning but instead will cross the road to Novotel which was across the road for a better service.please do weigh your options if it is a short stay such as two days it's cheap but longer please opt for a alternative. I understand that this is a budget hotel, and you kinda get what you pay for. "Worst hotel in 10 weeks of travel"
In 10 conscecutive weeks of travel in 20 European countries this is the worst we have encountered. Tiny rooms too smal for 2 people, paint missing from walls, spider webs hanging from ceiling, dirty carpets, sporadic and weak WIFI, windows do not open and the air-condition DOES NOT work. The rooms are a complete sweat-box...no ventilation and 27.5 C […] at 10 pm. Staff tried to enter our room, unnanounced, twice while were were present to spray for sewer smell. 10 meters outside the front door beggars and transients are at you immediately. How about corn freshly roasted from a shopping cart? A staff member told my wife not to go out alone. When we complained about the temperature of the room, and other things, the desk clerk said: "You should have left..why didn't you?" They told us a few times a technician was coming "tomorrow" to look try to get the air-conditioning system. There is no reason to ever stay at this hotel. I have photos if anyone wants to see them. "Pretty good for the price paid - Clean and simple"
The hotel was clean, well maintained, bathrooms did not smell like public toilets as some others had mentioned. We were on the 7th floor at the top and everything was fine. The rooms were clean. They were quite small but for a few days to sleep, they did the job. The bathrooms were clean and well maintained. for the price paid it was a good enough hotel. […] Metro station Galieni is directly outside which is perfect. Shopping centre, and supermarket are also right on the doorstep which is perfect for eating and buying things you need. The only problem I found was trying to get into the right car park. Even having read peoples reviews about the difficulty of this. The price for 24 hours of parking in the secured hotel private parking area which is in a multi storey car park was pretty good. we parked for 3 days and 30 Euros! perfect for paris. park up and take the subway. To find the car park you have to loop around the hotel, with it on your left, there are 3 entrances to the multi storey car park. take the one that says Galieni Campanile in the middle going up the ramp not down the ramp. and of this middle ramp stay on the right side and you will see a large garage door that says Hotel Campanile parking. otherwise the shopping centre is 30 euros per day. Has the basics in the room, towels are good, beds were clean, kettle, tea/ coffee. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"It served a purpose."
On the down side:- Small rooms that are only just big enough for the bed. Tired decor, windows that are dirty and fixed in the closed position, "air con" that isn't man enough to keep the room just right for the warmer blooded person. Sticky table that hadn't been cleaned since last occupant, towels that used to be white but are that old are now off […] white/grey. At breakfast time i couldn't get a decent cup of tea, and the one time i tried the bar at 10:00pm, it was closed. On the up side:- Very close to the metro, (it's outside the front door) Food was good and plentiful, staff were cheerful, and most spoke English. Very helpful at check out time with regards to holding baggage until pick up time. All in all, you get what you pay for. And this was a low cost budget holiday for the me, my wife and 3 kids. "Great for first time in France"
Positive Features Great location hotel located above metro and next to bus stop, plus its zone 3 which easy on your pocket depending on where you want to go. About 30mins on the underground/metro from Gare du Nord/Eurostar. Public transport and a shopping centre located next to hotel which has a supermarket. Next to MacD's. Eventhough the reception […] desk closes at 11pm there was someone available to open the door after that time. Negative Features Make sure you request for a don't disturb card if you like to wake up late otherwise you will be disturbed by room service in the mornings who come to the rooms twice a day. Buffet pricing system at restuarant should be simplified. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great budget hotel"
The location is very convenient with the metro, bus stops, and coach bus station at the bottom of the stairs in front of the hotel. The metro got us to the city center easily (approx. 20 minutes depending on destination). There's a shopping mall around the corner with a few fast food restaurants (and a McDonald's), grocery store, and many other shops […] (pastries at PAUL are good). Staff were mostly friendly and helpful and were able to speak English, but it helped to try a little French (we brought a phrase book). We booked a triple room for 5 nights and it was a good size. Beds are comfortable, third bed was a roll-away bed but still comfortable. There was a tv (all channels in French), desk and chairs, and complimentary tea, coffee, and cookies. Bathroom is a little small but just big enough for one person to use at a time and had the basics - tub with shower, toilet, sink, complimentary toiletries, mirror with small counter and they supplied us with 3 towels and a towel mat. Our room was made up every day and complimentary items were replenished. We ate at the restaurant twice - the buffet style food was average, the a la carte menu was good (try the duck breast with raspberry sauce). 3 lifts are available at the hotel, they were small and could probably fit 6 people without luggage. You didn't have to leave your keys with the hotel when you went out for the day. We were able to check out early (5 am) because we made a note in our reservation requests.
