I spent 2 weeks at the hotel and would highly recommend it. I liked the close metro for getting around the city. You can take the metro from the airport and get to within 2 blocks of the hotel. Get off at the Sao Sebastiao stop. Look at the metro map. You can figure it out. I got the Viva card for 0.50 Euros and put 15.00 Euros on the card for zapping use at the airport. The hotel staff was absolutely wonderful. They were very helpful with directions and information. The room was clean and comfortable. The hotel was very quiet, it was like we were the only ones there. So here we are in another hotel, in another country and longing to be back in the hotel in Lisbon.

As two college kids looking for a romantic getaway, this hotel was perfect. Hotels.com saved us way more than the current nightly rate. The hotel was conveniently located to the metro stop. Staff was helpful in English as I speak no Portuguese. Breakfast was good, wide variety which seemed to satisfy the many different nationalities in the hotel. Room AC was great and it cooled quickly. Rooms on back side of hotel are definitely quieter.

The hotel was sparkling clean both in the public places and in the guest room. The only negative to report is the handling of phone calls to the U.S. You were not able to use the phone in your room to place an overseas call with a calling card. The hotel desk staff instructed me to use the pay phone in the lobby. When I asked why I could not use the […] phone in my room, he said it would cost 100 times the cost of the pay phone. I found this aspect to be troublesome and less than customer friendly. The internet was available in the lobby, but again, you had to insert coins directly into the box attached. If you wanted to use a personal computer in your room, you were again charged by the hour. These seemed to be little things that are not cost prohibitive to the hotel and seemed to be important to several of the guests I encountered. Read more

The hotel facility and its services are quite good. The room is small for a four-star hotel and the walls are thin. You can hear guests staying adjacent rooms while they speak. Luckily most guests were old people sleeping early. So, I did not have any problem. The room was probably OK for the price I paid.

Having arrived on January 1, 2012, and most of Lisbon resting. The staff gave me directions to cafes that were open and all within walking distance. The hotel breakfast buffet looked outstanding. I had chosen this hotel after considering some of the reviews on travel sites, this one included. I arrived at the airport in Lisbon @6:00 am, and while having a cup of coffee took out all the helpful hints that I had printed from the reviews. Since I just had a backpack, I decided to start my sight seeing right away. I took the #1 airport bus, and […] for a little more than 2 euros got a ticket that was good for 24 hours. So I explored the city, hiked around and had some more coffee. The streets were a little tricky to navigate with the map I had, but when it was time to check in I aimed for the Gulbenkian Museum, and found the hotel, no problem as the street is right by the museum, just hike around the wall, if you are lost, you will find it. Nice area, lots of coffee shops, apartments, a couple of gift shops and restaurants. The room itself was a small, cozy and perfectly fine. The bathroom was a bit smelly, but just a bit, wasn't a big issue. The buffet breakfast, which was included in the cost of the room, I thought was fantastic. My favorite food was the cut oranges, scrambled eggs and nutty wheat bread. Yum! The hotel is right by the Sao Sebastian train station. There are different colors of train lines, and it looks a bit confusing at first, but it isn't, the transfer points are easy to navigate, and traveling on the subway was fast. You can get a 24 hour pass for under 5 euros and that is good for all the transports, train, bus tram. Read more

I spent 3 nights here on a vacation and I would go back if I were to stay in Lisbon again. It is outside the city center but only a block and a half walk to a 2 line metro station. The metro made it very convenient to access the city but still have a quiet location to sleep in. Comfortable hotel with good sized rooms. Cooked breakfast was very good and there was plenty of choice of food. Access to the airport and central Lisbon is easy from the local metro station (S Sebastiao red line for airport and blue line for centre). Helpful service at reception to find various locations and the hotel staff provided a city map.

The hotel was in a good location, a little way away from a metro station (São Sebastião) which is on a couple of lines, and near to the Gulbenkian Institute and El Corte Inglés department store.
