"Decent room, strangley placed toilet."
Comfortable enough room. Clean. Great cafe downstairs for breakfast and lunch. Restaurant food for dinner was particularly good. Conveniently located, with parking (paid) directly across the street. Only niggling complaint was placement of toilet with the bathtub directly in front with such little room ir one have to angle their legs to the right when […] one has to go. And I don't have particularly long legs. Anyway, enjoyable over all. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Nice hotel, great location, really small bathroom"
This hotel is in a great location between Rene Levesque and St. Catherine, only about 3 blocks from Mont Royal. The room was clean although a bit small but not too bad. The only issue was the bathroom. The space between the toilet and the bathtub might have been sufficient for a 10 year old.....Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good Location - and Montréal is the best for food!"
I went on a four-night vacation, with the intention of taking photos of iconic modern architecture, speaking French for the first time in years, and eating well. The location is highly convenient.. The 747 bus from the airport drops you on René Lévesque just yards from the corner of Drummond. There's a Metro station, Peel, which has an entrance on the […] next parallel street, Stanley - this Metro line takes you to a variety of places on St Catherine, including The Village, and further on to the Olympic Tower at Viau. (I took architectural photos of the Olympic Tower, the Olympic Village, and, on another day, of the Expo 67 houses at Habitat 67 on Pierre Dupuy, which was hard to get to but worth it.) "Nice hotel in downtown Montreal"
I have no complaints about this hotel :) The area the hotel is located in is really close to shops, restaurants, bars, and the Bell Center. The room was very comfortable, clean, and had a cozy vibe to it.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Great location, small rooms"
Overall we enjoyed our experience at this hotel. The room was average, but fine for us as we spent a majority of the time exploring Montreal. The restroom and bedroom were small. The biggest lure is the hotels proximity to much of the city attractions, as it is right off of Rue Saint Catherine. This room was perfect for sleeping only , after long days […] of exploring. "The hotel 's room was very clean."
I enjoyed a lot the clean bed and wood floor room. The staff were very polite, kind and helpful. However, the room area was very small. It was difficult to leave your suite case open on the floor because it will block your way to the restroom. I enjoyed having the hotel located in downtown Montreal. It safe me a lot of taxi fees, because I was able […] to walk around easily in downtown. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Well located, perfectly nice hotel -- with nicer rooms than you might expect and a splendidly helpful staff.Genuine Expedia guest review
The hotel is located in the downtown. But after we took a walk to the old town we realized we should have booked a hotel there. It's much better there - old buildings, nice restaurants. The rooms were small, some towels had stains. But overall it was not a bad place for the price. Nothing terrible.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel, courteous staff"
The Best Western Europa is walking distance to Old Town Montreal, bus stops, a train station, shopping, and restaurants. The bus that takes you straight to and from the airport has a stop only one block away.I found the hotel staff courteous, helpful, and truly interested in making my stay pleasant, The room was clean and comfortable and had a refrigerator […] that was usable instead of being full of expensive beverages and snacks. "Convenient location; great breakfast in hotel"
Close to attractions and metro. Well maintained and very clean. Applaud he option of skipping linen change until departure (3 days).Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The staff were the friendliest I've ever encountered. The hotel itself is definitely old, but the rooms are recently updated, with modern decor. The bathrooms however seem to be untouched. Hallways and elevators are quite narrow, but that isn't really an issue. There were no wheelchair ramps, though there was an elevator next to the entry stairs (which […] was useless as it wasn't available for use). If you have a baby in a stroller or have mobility issues, I wouldn't recommend this hotel. Constantly lifting the stroller got old after a while, and when we arrived, we couldn't get the room we booked because it was on the top level where there was a level of stairs to get to it. Cora's in the hotel is great, excellent staff and tasty breakfasts for a good price. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Tiny but worth the savings."
Smallest hotel room we've ever been in. That being said, the huge mirrors made a difference, and everything else about the room was VERY clean and comfortable. The hotel itself and the immediate neighborhood were not attractive, but we could walk to just about everything we wanted to do, and to any kind of place we wanted to eat. We chose this hotel […] because we didn't want to spend much money on a place where we weren't going to spend much time. We were happy with the choice. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Our family of 4 had stayed in this hotel on Dec 26/27 2013. Hotel has a good location, just south of the St. Catherine street. The room was big enough, and looked clean (although its visible that the hotel is a bit dated). It would be a good hit if there wasn't a nasty surprise in the morning - the parking across from the hotel was not really hotel's […] parking (despite such table at its entrance), but is privately owned. I had to pay an extra (cca) 25% for the overnight parking. To me it was a surprise, but since I was booking on my cell phone, I might have missed that information in description. Still, even if is true, that raises the price of the 1 night stay to the level where I am sure I could find better hotel, with parking included, for the same amount. And if I have to drive 5-10 mins from St. Catherine's to that other hotel, so be it. For those who are coming to Montreal alone, and want to be close to the main streets, this might be a good place. For others, check the rates carefully before you choose. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Better than expected 5 star stay at 3 star price"

Hotel Europa is a safe, clean. affordable choice for out-of-towners looking for a place to stay when attending hockey games or other events at the Bell Centre. "Convenient downtown location"
I wasn't expecting 5 star, and neither should you. But for what it is, this hotel was what I needed for a couple of days on business. It fits its 3 star rating, but it was good. My room was clean, quiet, and comfortable. The servers in the bar and restaurant were nice, and the pizza I had at the restaurant was actually pretty good. It's a convenient […] location if you want to be right downtown, and only about 3 short blocks walk from the central train station. For the price and convenience, I'd stay here again. "Clean, Attractive Room, Friendly Staff"
The staff was unfailingly helpful and went out of their way to help us get where we wanted to go. The drain was slow in the bath, but was repaired lickety-split as soon as we brought it to their attention. The entire room was spotless. We tremendously enjoyed our stay!Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel with convenient location near the park"
My only complaint is the parking situation. You can either park your car in a lot across the street for $20/day or in a garage one street over for $15. We went with the lot across the street and it turned out to be the kind of lot where there is a center row of cars and one of the cars in the two outer rows has to move to let a center-row parked car […] out. We parke in the center row but still got called at 7 AM to move our car because the car next to us was boxed in and they couldn't get a hold of the owners of the cars parked in front of or behind it (understandable given that it was 7 AM). Then after we moved our car the poor person who was boxed in had to do some tight maneuvering to get their car out. On-street parking would have been better than that. However, other than the parking situation, the hotel was great. Rooms are smaller than you would encounter at an American hotel (adding a trundle bed would have made our room with one queen size bed cramped), but for two people it was more than enough space. And the breakfest reastaurant in the lobby is fantastic! Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Semi-central location downtown -----NO PARKING"
A large sign indicates hotel parking directly across from lobby. Attendant is not really interested in explaining the method of getting your car when needed, as they take the keys and outrageous 25$ per night. Very annoying. With heavy bags and bad legs we had to shuffle down steps to get to lobby. Turns out there is a luggage elevator, but no one […] to point that out. We found out much later by accident. The rooms were nice but the hallways were very crowded when the service people were working. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"No voice messages received on phone"
Phone calls to our room did not have voice mail. Reception personnel told us messages would be brought to our room. We did not receive any messages though various family members told us they left them. These messages were left in English and French. Also parking across street is $25 not $15 as we were led to believe. Location is great-right in heart […] of downtown. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Very nice! Excellent Location!"
This is the first Best Western I've visited and it was nice. It's not that small, rather it's traditional European. Very contemporary stylings and the bed was fantastic. I was a little taken aback by the wall of mirrors -- it's was very disconcerting! However, it did help illuminate the room. The hotel restaurant, Serge Henri was very good. The other […] breakfast place seemed a bit pricey, so I walked down St. Catherine for something cheaper. The hotel's location is stellar. It's steps from Rue Sts Catherine (crazy crowded w/students) and Rue Rene Lavinque - two main roadways. Very close to 2 metro stops. And if you love hockey, it's steps away from Centre Bell. I'd definitely stay again. :-) Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
