Carpet and furniture was stained and filthy, when we got towels, they were extremely small and thin, there was no light over the sink area and we couldn't get a replacement bulb...we were told there wasn't one available. The service was good the the conditions of the rooms were not good. The first room they gave us had an odor and no fire detector and no remote for the T.V. We went to complain and she gave us another room. It smelled better but the condition of it was not good. The mirror was on the floor leaning against the wall, the light over the sink did not work. […] It did have a remote for the T.V. but most of the buttons did not work. The beds were uncomfortable. If the rooms had been as good as the service it would have been a good place to stay. The only good thing was the service and it was close to Parris Island for my sons Graduation to the Marines. not a great place to stay and not even worth the money. The toilet had a hole in the bowl and sprayed the inside of the toilet, when arrived at the airport tried to call the hotel but could not reach anyone at the desk after three times. finally got an answer and wrong directions to the hotel. very very disappointing.

Landscape / Upkeep on the outside needs attention. Carpets need updating. Hotel nice for sleeping in, nothing fancy. Peaceful not full of riff raff & such. Convenient to everything & everywhere we needed to be during our stay.

Due to the price of the hotel I didn't expect a lot, just someplace clean and quite. Since the neighborhood was decent and the hotel next door was a much nicer one, I was pretty confident that it wasn't to much to ask. Apparently it was, because I didn't get either. First I found some kind of shavings, possible wood (I wasn't about to pick them up and […] examine them) between the bed and nightstand. I just ignored them. After getting ready for bed I found a roach crawling on our bathroom vanity. Not a palmetto bug, just a common roach.But usually where one is, there are more. I woke my husband up to kill it, then called the front desk and was informed that I should talk to the manager in the morning. I was not offered another room. I left the lights on and kept watching to see if I would find more. Eventually I figured that there would be no more and and was almost asleep when there was ALOT of noise from guests running up and down the balcony (we were upstairs) and laughing. This carried on for about 20-30 minutes from about 11:45 pm to 12:15. I didn't call the front desk, from previous experience I didn't think they would care or attempt to do anything about it. Room was not vacum. Sheets had holes in them. Housekeeping did not change sheet on second night. same sheet were on bed following day. Remember holes in sheet. Celing had cracks and water stains. Towels (not sets) very stained and worn out. If I had not payed in advance. I would have left. Sorry !

The only reason we stayed here was because it was the only place in Beaufort that accepts pets. I was rudely awakened by a cockroach crawling across my face in the middle of the night. the hotel had roaches, teens were allowed to check into rooms without adults and kept us up all night. We called for washcloths the first night and never recieved them. the continential breakfast consisted of mini doughnuts taken out the package and placed on a tray, also poor selection of food for breakfast.

It's an older motel and you're paying for the location and that's it. Everything is of low quality but the front office clerk is excellent. We slept above the covers because we found a bug on the pillow. We checked in after midnight and we just needed a place to crash. by far the nastiest, dirtiest, most disgusting place I have ever stayed! I slept fully clothed, on top of the bed spread, afraid of what I might catch if I actually touched the sheets! The room smelled like old dirty laundry, the shower had mildew, and the carpets had everything but a chalk line of a body on it. I have seen cleanlier pet kennels.

This is not a great hotel by any means. You get what you paid for. The room was clean and the staff was very nice, but it's certainly run down. The breakfast is very slim. It was okay for our purposes... It okay for one night, but that's about it.

The room was small but for the price it serves the purpose. The room includes a refrigerator and a microwave. Its clean and conveniently located next to Burger King and alot of other eating establishments. Stores are at your finger tips practically in walking distance.

The hotel was obviously old and not very well cared for. The sheets on the bed had holes burned into them and the towels did not feel clean. Also, it was obvious the room had not been cleaned properly because there was still leftover food in the refrigerator from the previous guests. Quietly nestled along the main road of Beaufort, SC, this location habors a surprisingly peaceful locale. Many shops and restaurants are within talking distance and the customer service was commendable.

Was OK for an overnight stay. Would not want to Stay any more than that. They had small towels, 2 small bars of soap. No other extras, "shampoo,lotions, or coffee in room" Cheaper than any other motel in the area, But you get what you pay for, only a room.

This is a nice basic motel. The desk was helpful and brought us more towels quickly as requested. The breakfast was very basic, but if you want a little more, you can walk to McDonald's. The motel did have make-it-yourself waffles. We were pleased with the free internet with no access code. That made it no-hassle. Beaufort was charming.

The location of the America's Best Inn in Beautfort, SC was great. Just 10 minutes from downtown and within 40 minutes of all major attractions including Hilton Head, but that is where it ends. the rate that I recieved for my 3 night stay was comparable to the rates of other hotels in the same area. I chose this particular hotel because it was pet friendly, […] but the room was a discrace apon arrival. The furnishings were second hand and neglected. All of the linens (bed sheets, besdspreads, towels) were badly worn out and needed to be replaced, the bathroom showercurtain was splattered with grime. I reported all of this to the manager/owner who seemed to not be surprised by any of this. I decided to stay only after he sent the inn's only two housekeepers directly to the room, and while I supervised, they completely stripped, cleaned, dusted, vaccumed, and replaced all linens including the pillows and shower curtain in the bathroom. The manager only came by briefly to check on the progress. He did not stay to supervise his employees. The reason I did not ask for another room is beacause there was reasonable evidence that the other rooms were probably just as bad. After the room was thoroughly cleaned to my complete satisfaction, I went on to enjoy my holiday weekend. In conclusion I was simply shocked by the extremely low standards of this particular hotel chain. I would not recommend America's Best Inn to anyone and I will never stay at any of thier locations again. Read more

We were there for a USMC graduation and needed to be out so early in the morning that we missed the posted hours for the continental breakfast. We came here for a USMC graduation. It's about a 15 minute drive from the hotel to the base, depending on traffic. The hotel priced up the rooms because of the graduation and I felt we payed far too much. The room was a 2 Queen room. The room was fairly clean but my wife and I did find some hairs on the bed sheets, nasty. The bathroom was very run down, […] though it was clean. The walls are thin and the beds were very uncomfortable and had dips in the middle. Thats the run down on the room, now to the interesting stuff. One thing they didn't advertise was that there would be "working" girls coming to the hotel looking for someone around 9:30. They knocked on about 3 different doors. Later in the evening, a fight broke out inside of a room and the police arrived with sirens on. Its not a nice hotel, but we needed a place to stay for the graduation.
