The Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The hotel's amenities are appropriate for all family members, specially the pools. The stores and restaurant are very expensive, though ($35 USD for one person at the buffet). The hotel is a few miles away from the Acapulco's center but you can get a taxi to get there. Although it is recommended that you […] get a taxi from the hotel for safety reasons, you can also walk to the street and get a taxi from there. There were lots of police/military patroling the streets of Acapulco. Also, the Walmart is across the street from the hotel so you can buy snacks and water for your stay. The hotel has a bar in the middle of the lobby with live music every day. Great band but a lot of smoking people around. I stayed at the 5th floor and could hear the music late at night. Rooms and in general the hotel is well kept. Part of the satff very friendly some other very indifferent and not helpful. Particularly front desk staff very indifferent. Wi fi internet vey intermitent, and some rooms is not available. Food quality from good to very good and some dayparts from good to regular. No bar soap, I had to ask twice for it. […] Air conditioning not working a 100%. The rooms takes hpurs to cool down. Many money saving shortcuts that affect the stay. We spent almost three hours on the check in line to get the room. After that we had to wait another hour to get the room cleaned. In our second night we requested a couple of extra towels and it took 2 hours to get it.

The Princess was once a wonderful hotel. It sadly, is showing it's years. The rooms need an update, although they are quite large and were pretty clean. The bathroom was a bit dirty. The check in process was a nightmare! It took way too long and when I went back for the key 2 hours later as the room was not ready (to be fair it was a very busy weekend) […] the manager seemed "bothered" that I asked him for the key and did not stand in the long, long line again. Some people waited 2 hours to check in, so I was not about to wait again! We were next to the elevator and I felt as if I were in line at Disney waiting for Thunder Mountain all day and night. The grounds were clean and they were refurbishing the property, which in my opinion could have waited until the hoards of people left. It took 30 minutes just to get/return towels which you HAD to do as you had to sign a card with you name, room number and number of towels; upon return you got it back. The food was ok and the service was good. I could not understand why they did not open one of the breakfast restaurants when the hotel was full, so the wait was long (30-60 minutes) at the other restaurants. The view is beautiful and the pools were clean and well maintained. The Willow Stream Spa was pretty good and the staff friendly, although I have been to better, nicer spas. The gym was also nice, clean, well equipped and with a friendly staff. The ocean waves were dangerous so we did not go in. Read more

This very old hotel and although facilities are very large, there are several points that do not see the name of the fairmount proudly, valet parking charge 125 daily, room with double beds only, old and small tv few channels and without servibar, people separates the pool chairs from 7 am and though this prohibited the hotel allows it and most of them […] never occupies them so if you don't get at that hour to the pool have no where be? It filled him much and that makes you do rows on all sides, will not let you get anything to food and beverage rooms is for a police officer at the entrance of the elevators and you can not put anything is the first time in my life that I see this and I stop for bringing a few Potatos of the shop but in general its price says it all if it were a better hotel would cost what any of this same chain but with the best intention that these comments help them change and improve Read more

Consider its price, I do not recommend this hotel. Because pool side does not have enough bench for all, I need to keep it at 7:00 to have a bench otherwise I can not get it. Some person ask to staff to get bench paying some mony. This is very bad point of this hotel. Also, they do not have bench in the beach. There ia other person who rent a bench […] in the beach. I neen to pay them 400 pesos per day. Very expensive, but I have no other choice to have bench. Pool size is not enogh compare with this hotel size, also all pool depth is to deep for kids. It is 1.6m almost of all area. Beach area and pool area is not so secured security because other person easy come inside from the beach. I lost my beach sandal and sun oil. Food is not good because almost all restaurant is buffe style even dinner. It takes around 400 pesos per person but food quality is not nice. Room service takes around 1 hour to deliver. We are a family of four with two young adults. We had a memorable experience. The beach is great and it is much safer than it is advertised. We bought few things off of vendors there like sunglasses and hats; do bargain with these vendors but remember that you are buying cheap stuff and you cannot be so off. Despite being a relatively old hotel (built in the 70s), the hotel conditions are excellent. All services are up to date and working. Service is really noticeably. Food is good a varied and scrupulously clean. Premises are very much baby friendly and safe. I definitely recommend this hotel and would be back as soon as I can.

The 2 different pools were very fun, but deep. We enjoyed the waterslide. It was fun to have the flamingos and peacocks around the pools. The food was great! The beach was ok, but the waves too dangerous to swim. So this place is better for adults, or older children.

We stayed at the new Pearl Tower and is a great experience, since its just been renovated. That said the hotel in some areas is showing its 41 year old age. The pool facilities are incredible, spacious and the pool service is great. I really enjoyed my stay.

I have stayed at the Princess several times before this one and i always had a very pleasant time. This ocassion was no different but i have some observations to make, first of all there where a couple of conventions going on at the hotel, because of so many people the staff was not very friendly, the registration took more than 35 minutes and the lobby […] was extremely crowded. My room was ready but not as i asked it (one king size bed) anyway i just wanted to get out of there and get to my room. The room was very clean and nice, and the property common areas are amazing, they have a variety of pools and some of them are baby and kids friendly all of them very clean, the beach was very well kept and security always keeping us safe, the only problem i can think about are some of the waiters that have a terrible attitude problem i had trouble with two guys one was extremely rude because the charge to the room did not went through (a problem on their side) and at the beach when they want me to charge extra for a glass of extra ice (come on!) i had to stop this guys on their tracks and this made them re-consider their attitude. On the other side of the coin some of the staff was also extremely attentive and friendly, they where very nice to my wife and my 8 month baby going the extra mile for every request we made. I recommend this hotel to families with children and seniors, also take a cab to "la isla" there you have lots of choices for dinner at excelent prices/quality. Read more

The pool is to crowded and there is not a clear view to the ocean. You need to get up early to save your sun chair and depending of the tip you give the better spot you can get. Incredible but in the pool area they don’t have umbrellas, so if you want some shade you need to get up and go to a restaurant or lobby. However the hotel is very old, also it´s very well maintain, always there is someone cleaning making sure that you can feel the Fairmont quality. In general it is a very good hotel, but it can improve some things. While my stay I witness an event that showed very poor security. A Brazilian family was staying at the hotel and their two adolescent daughters went to the bathroom by the lobby. Next thing a guy had entered the women bathroom and scared the two girls. When the parents went to complain about the incident the hotel security people told the Brazilian […] parents that they could not do anything since the guy was a guest at the hotel. Nice place to spend with your family. The size of the facilities make it a very comfortable place even if the hotel is full. You get five pools, direct access to the beach, 4 restaurants (2 of them buffet style, very good). The staff is friendly and hotel, despite its age, is in very good conditions. Recommended.

Beautiful Hotel! Lovely place to relax and enjoy. The fairmont princess is in the more prestigest area of acapulco. the hotel itself was just like any american hotel. It is very safe with security right on the beach. The beach is nice to look at but too rough for swimming. and a 10-25 min. taxi ride to the more swimable beaches. We did not get the room with ocean view, but only partial ocean view. We were harassed at the palapas from the hotel on the beach because we had "color clothes" What does that mean? Should we use only black and white on the beach? We were not allowed to bring some refreshments to our room, even when we explained that they were for the trip on the car […] next day, and they did not offer to keep them for us.
