Anyone who stays here is making a huge mistake. This place is an embarressment. Staying here will make you feel robbed. The mattresses were torn, the bedsheets and covers were multicolored from who-knows-what. We stayed here because of snow, we would have been better off sleeping in the car. The heat was off (28 F outside) and nearly the same inside. […] We slept in our clothes. If you need to stay in Cadillac, MI, stay anywhere else, you are better off. Read more
"Disappointing"
The phones were not working. We wanted to talk to others in our group and would need to put on our coats and boots. The room took 2 hours to warm enough for us to be able to take off our winter coat. We were not told that the pool was down until further notice. We have stayed at other Rodeway Inns, I would not recommend the one in Cadillac, Mi
"Dirty room"
We arrive earlier then the normal check in time and they allowed us to move into our room anyway. The staff was really helpful and accommodating. When we did get into our room the heat had not been turned on and the room was freezing. We had to leave and go site seeing until after 4 pm - room still freezing! We had an event to go to and didn't get back […] to the room until after 10 pm. Room just getting tolerable. The carpet was very dirty with dog hair and other stuff and couldn't identify. The water came out of the facets very dark brown! I couldn't bring myself to take a shower the next morning! I never drank the water - good thing we brought bottled water. Over all if the room had been clean and warm I would have given this a better rating. Good job to the staff kindness and accommodations. Read more

"not the ritz"
I would like to explain my survey. The highlight of my stay was there were no bed bugs. My first duty upon arriving was to leave and go buy bottled water as the tap water come out brown. There was no hot water for showering. If I was going to make a bed frame I would have at least painted the plywood box. I guess it is a plus that I smelled insecticide […] though it doesn't make a great impression. All in all it felt barely clean and not real nice. "Very Shabby"
Looked very old & rundown outside. We never were able to get in our door without help-stuck or something. Inside was a little better and fairly clean but very cheaply furnished-bed platform was 2X6's. Okay in a pinch just for sleeping. Would not eat the continental breakfast.

Dirty, run down, moldy, bugging, dump... beds terrible, bug bites. No help changing rooms. Checked out early. Could not take this place.

This hotel is ok if you just need a place to sleep that is close to the Cadillac West lakes area. However it is very outdated and in desperate need of remodeling.

"Good value and great room"
Even though I was only in the room for a few hours. (I got there late at night and left early.) It felt like a room I could have spent more time in very comfortably. It had a full size refrigerator. And the chairs that were great for reading. Outside the room was not as appealing, but inside the room I was very satisfied.

Room was fairly clean but stunk. Continental breakfast was a complete joke.
"rode-way inn Cadilac MI. junky....."
this had to be one of the worst stays in my life. @ the Rode-way Inn. My room has 2 queen sized beds, 1st bed the sheets smelled of vics med rub and didnt look like it was changed, the other bed sheets werent changed from the resident before us.I know this due to the fact that there was a towel under the sheets (wet still) and god knows what else there […] was on that bed. Went to talk to the owner/manager that evening when we got back to our room but he was to busy at the hotels bar to do anything about our problem and told my wife that housekeeping went home for the day and he would have someone in the morning come and talk to us. Which never happened. We stay in Cadilac Mi. alot but I will never stay there again....Nor will any of my family, hunting buddies,snowmoblie and off roading friends. We had a group of family with us, even after making the calls to put us all in the same area, weeks before our arrival, the hotel couldnt find time I guess to make that happen either. In total our group had 9 rooms, all on different sides of the hotel. The rooms are in need of fresh paint and a deep cleaning from top to bottom. Non smoking rooms, like ours, smelled as bad as if some one was smoking right then and there. Read more

"Convenient location"
Motel was easy to find. Close to a number of sites I was visiting. Rooms were larger than expected, but beds were not great. Pool was apparently under construction, but I didn't find out until I tried to go to it. Ice machine wasn't working, but clerk filled my ice bucket from the kitchen when I needed some. "Not worth the money."
This hotel was unfortunately the closest that we could find to where we wanted to be. Do not stay here if you want peace and quiet. In addition to the horrible, horrible karaoke that went on until about 2am (which we could hear inside our room), nobody would/could do anything about the loud inebriated people for the next hour in the parking lot. At […] one point it sounded like a quarrel turned into an actual fight. There was a window punched out in one of the rooms. When I mentioned all this to staff the next day, he just chuckled and said that sometimes it gets rowdy. Not what I wanted for my family to deal with. What I got was not worth the money I spent. "Rodeway Inn Cadillac - NEVER, EVER STAY HERE!!!!"
We got in the room which was quaint and woodsy like & were pretty happy with it. The beds weren't anything great but they were okay. The problem started with the shower. I turned on the faucet as hot as possible. I never, ever got any hot water thought I did get some lukewarm water after about 10 minutes. Then I switched over from the tub filler to […] the shower head & a tiny trickle came out. I attempted to shower & it was the pits! The water flow would improve a little but everytime it did, the water got very cold. Then it would go back down to a lukewarm trickle. The water was also kind of rusty. The swimming pool water was too cold too swim in. Breakfast was supposed to be served at 7 AM and we needed to get on the road early so we went to breakfast right at 7 AM. Instead of setting up the breakfast, the desk clerk was outside smoking. When he saw us he made a feable attempt to set up breakfast but he really didn't seem to know or care what to do. Before he could get much done, other customers came to the desk to complain about the lack of water pressure in the hotel. After waiting about 20 minutes we got disgusted, checked out & went to McDonalds. Don't stay here unless you don't like to swim, shower or eat and you have an aversion to hot water. Read more

I picked this hotel because of price and location - in that order. I only used it to sleep in - was not looking for luxury. The beds were comfortable and it is a quiet location. "Reflects price"
This is a fine motel to stay in for the night. If you just want a place to sleep, this is your motel. The room was clean, desk clerk courteous, and the bathroom was well stocked with towels. We didn't use the pool, but looked at it. It looked like a fine pool. Basic breakfast with cereal and waffles. Would have loved to see some fresh fruit as well. […] This motel has no frills, but is just fine for a family stopping over on a trip or needing a place to HQ when visiting surrounding areas. There is a small playground in the back and a tennis court. If those, as well as the small patio space outside the pool, were updated, they could be very attractive. Read more
"NEEDS MAJOR RENOVATIONS"
bugs in the bathroom, very uncomfortable beds, KIDS working at the front desk have to call "Daddy" to answer any question you have. VERY dark room felt closed in.

This hotel needs updating and a better staff. We checked in on a Friday night, and were staying for 2 nights. On Saturday the maid put fresh towels in our room and didn't bother to make up the beds or empty our garbage. The paint was peeling, and the sheets wouldn't stay on the bed, which is gross because who wants to touch a uncovered mattress.
