"Stopover on way back to Frankfurt"
The Hotel was fine and clean enough, little oldish, and our 4-person room included 2 rollaway beds! -- What did impress me was that our car got a flat, and at 10pm at night, the desk attendant went way over and above to help me rectify the situation. Without her, i would have been stuffed!!Genuine Hotels.com guest review

Excellent hotel ,our only gripe is hat wifi was not free in rooms.worst still when we paid for the wifi connection The speed was slow and continuously dropped out.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Bin sehr zufrieden!

"Friendly and tidy, but a little bit anonymous"

We stayed on night in this hotel. The room was spacious, clean and good. But it's a rather large hotel with not many attention to personal detail. The restaurant didn't look too attractive and the bar at night is mainly buzzing with casino activities. That's not really a problem though. The location is very good, with some nice restaurants in de center within a five minute walk. All in all: good but not that special.
"Better than expected"

We wanted to stay in Bad Duerkheim for the Wurstmarkt, which is a huge wine festival. There is not much choice in hotels near the festival so we booked this hotel despite reading some of the negative reviews here. Based on those reviews I was not expecting much but I have to say we were very pleasantly surprised. There is a public pay parking lot adjoining the hotel and we got a spot there with no problem. There is a special reduced parking rate for hotel guests. Although we didn't use it, the spa at the hotel looked very nice. The location for the Wurstmarkt was ideal. You walk through the beautiful Kurpark to get there and the park itself is worth a visit. The tourist information center is also nearby and you can get a map of a walking tour from them if you'd like to explore the town at all, which I recommend. The room had WiFi included and was very comfortable. The bathroom was absolutely huge. I do not hesitate to recommend this hotel at all, particularly for anyone going to the Wurstmarkt or any other event in or around the Kurpark.
"Oh c'mon - you can't be serious"
This is an ok hotel. The rooms are ok and the service is friendly. However you can't be serious when you offer your hotel guests a bottle of water for 3.80 Euro. This was during the hottest week of the year. If you can't bring yourself to offer it for free, then at least don't add a 200% mark up. Nobody will buy the bottle and also you will lose business in the long run. Sad.
"Need to improve service and design"

The hotel is nicely located as the center piece of the Kurgarten Park, a few steps from downtown, the giant wine barrel restaurant, and the interesting Saline structure at Bad Duerkheim. Reception at the hotel is professional yet impersonal, no warmth or accommodating feel here. The hallways and rooms seemed to have gone through recent renovation however they remain bland and simple, too uninteresting, ‘un-designed’ for a four-star hotel. This could be any German 2-3 star hotel, anywhere. Certainly not an international four-star standard. The spa area is nice, especially the newly renovated saunas with three different temperature zones. The main pool is currently closed and the small pool near the sauna is surely no substitute. Pale blue and white colors dominate the dining area which gives the place a cold unappetizing touch. Here I met the most unfriendly bartender in quite a while. This hotel could be such a relaxing, wonderful place; it has the location, the building and the potential. But some serious management shakeup should create leadership in order to do better.
"Pretty town, OK hotel"

Ok sums it up really...pretty town, lovely park...pool room enjoyable..but overall nothing much to draw comment. Enjoyed the spa pool room, nice and warm, very clean and a good way to relax away an hour or two on a raw winter day.
"Great location but a little noisy"

We have stayed at the Kurpark Hotel on 3 separate occasions with the most recent being in July of 2012. It was a great surprise to us when we arrived on our most recent visit that the original mineral springs swimming pool was no more, replaced by a much smaller pool. The whirlpool has also been eliminated. The overall quality of service in 2012 was not as good as we experienced on our earlier trips in 2008 and 2010. We had requested a room with a balcony overlooking the park many months in advance but when we arrived they had us in a room without any balcony and with no view. The front desk person did change us to a room with a balcony but did not seem to overjoyed to be doing so. There were also a few minor problems such as the saunas not being turned on when scheduled, wireless internet service down for two days, etc. The food in the restaurant was excellent as usual and the restaurant personel are friendly and on top of their game. We always note that many the restaurant people are the same when we return but that the front desk employees change quite frequently. Overall we love the value, location and the food but could do without the loud late night music from the band. We will stay there again in the future as it is hard to beat for the value.

Nothing really special about the hotel. Relatively big hoel in a small town. Old fashioned reception, restaurant and personnel. Rooms ok, but nothing special.
"Such a bad surprise :("

We came for the wine fest and planed to stay two days but we ran away. The beds where terrible, my wifes matrees was broken, and under mine they put a piece of plank that was shorter then the matrees and make me roll to the side and try to fight my way back the whole night. THe next day we asked to logged a complaint but no body ever returend to us about it. We have pictures to prove this! Further the hotel was renovating so ths SPA was not really ready for guests as it is shown falsley on the site - and they never bothered to put it right - at least people should know before they book, shouldnt they ?
"Nice, typical German hotel..."
We didn't spend too much time in our rooms- we essentially used the hotel only for getting ready for the day, and sleeping at night. For these purposes, it served us well. We had two double rooms and a single, and all were surprisingly roomy (by European standards). The bathrooms were relatively large, with hair dryers and plenty of towels, though the shower stalls were small enough that I banged my elbow on the door a few times. The beds were nice and comfortable, & the rooms had windows that opened (one double-room had a balcony), oscillating fans, tvs, telephones, and mini-bars. We did not take advantage of any spa offerings (& the "wellness center" was under construction) or the in-hotel restaurant. The casinos were small, but nice. The location is wonderful for walks into the city/shopping area, and it's perhaps an 8-minute walk to the Fitz-Ritter winery. Service was friendly and helpful. Parking in the hotel lot is an additional 7 euros per day (or there is a large free lot near the giant wine barrel, within walking distance). Hotel breakfast is 15 euros per day, per person. Wi-fi is 5 euros, or you can use the single internet computer (in the lobby) for free.

I am now looking for another hotel for my annual visit to the Pfalz. We recently stayed here for 2 nights and after being given the key to room 416 we hear the tremendous noises coming from 417( next to 416) and 418 (next but one) which were being gutted for refurbishment. So much for having a quiet drink on the balcony overlooking the gardens.I wont bore you with the staff,s reaction to my complaintbut we were offered room 419(adjacent to 418) HONEST.The buffet was very poor quality and you should see and taste the mess they call scrambled egg. This hotel urgently needs some hands on management.
