The hotel was clean and fairly inexpensive for the location. However the beds were in such horrible shape I awoke with terrible back pain after both nights of my stay. I'm not sure the savings of staying here offset the discomfort I felt for the next few days. Make sure to stock up on Advil if you plan a stay here.

Very good stay - maid service great, computer in lobby very poor, a number of problems with plastic key entry but overall - very good hotel and staff. It was the best financial offer for the entire LAX area. I looked at about 100 hotels and this was the best deal overall. Satisfied customer.

Very clean comfortable hotel. Only problem was a leak in the bathroom from the upstairs unit, which they eventually looked into after the second complaint. Nice staff- cookies in the lobby and a decent assortment of breakfast foods.

This is the worst hotel I have ever been in my entire life. If you choose to live here, you might as well not come to LA at all, whether it's vacation or work, it's pointless to even come here to live in a ghetto hotel. The place is just gross. The hotel looks really horrible from outside. The room can't be ready until exactly 3pm checkin. Other hotels […] such as Holiday Inn would let you check in early if they already have a clean room, or they would hurry up to clean a room to let you check in early. NOT this crappy Best Western hotel. The room is really old, dingy, dirty and depressing. I almost had a nervous breakdown. The worst part is it's really noisy. You can hear everybody clearly-people in the hallway and next door neighbors and upstairs neighbor. There is no sound proof at all. You really really hear them loud and clear, every word. You an also hear neighbors taking a shower and flush toilet. Unbelievable! It's just low rent and tacky. The staffers were unfriendly and weird. They just stared at you funny. It's scary. You park in the middle of the courtyard. Since the neighborhood is sketchy, I worried about my car all night. The room smelled and I didn't feel safe. I could not rest all all. I had to be out all day all night and only went back until midnight to sleep. There is no elevator to bring your heavy luggage upstairs. The stairs are dirty, creepy and dark. The breakfast was terrible. Frozen hard-boiled eggs, prepacked old muffins, nothing hot except for a waffle machine. McDonalds could have done better. Room smelled and the bathroom was missing kleenex, very few towels, no tv information and the carpet hadn't been cleaned in a long time. Ugh.

There were people who had traveled from afar trying to check in, and they were told they could not check in until 3pm. This Best Western is stingy, and not customer oriented. Keep the whirlpool open until 10pm, make it warmer, serve breakfast until 10am, and allow check-in at 1pm or no later than 2pm for sure. You should be able to manage since you run everyone out at 11am on the dot. You should also offer pool towels so that guests do not have to use bath towels. Read more

I will admit, that staying at the Best Western Plus hotels definitely left an impression, and set the expectations higher for my most recent stay at the Best Western Galleria. I was expecting the same type of service, but unfortunately it was not even comparable. I left the standee on the bed indicating I wanted the sheets to be refreshed. When I came back to the hotel, i came to find the bed NOT made, the SAME sheets, but the maid service had stopped by because the trash was emptied, and the shower mat was replaced. I placed the dirty towels on the floor in the bathroom indicating I needed fresh towels as well, but that was also ignored as well. The walls were extremely thin, so I had trouble sleeping all three nights of my stay, by being disturbed by guests on both sides of me as well as the guests above me. The television was fuzzy, like watching an old school tube tv. I was just not very happy with my stay, and I actually tried to find many things to do to limit my time that I had to BE in the hotel room, because it just was not as comfortable and or relaxing as I hoped it would be. Not a good hotel if it is a warm night. Air conditioner very noisy and not efficient. Cold air blows into curtains and does not cool the room. Plus, it was very noisy. Not a good night sleep. Usually this is not a problem as the hotel is located close to the coast. This just happened to be a very warm night.

Good location - there are a number of restaurants and a shopping mall within walking distance. The place is quiet and appear safe. The hotel staff are friendly. Simple breakfast is included but it is only served till 9am. If you are not an early riser like me, after all I am on vacation, you might not get a chance to enjoy it.

Our room didn't have any towels in it so we had to call and get those. My parents also had a room there and their (non-smoking) room had cigarettes and a lighter on the desk, the ironing board was left out, and the old soap from the previous occupant was still in the soap dish. I'm assuming the maid had to exit the room and didn't finish. We needed […] some plastic utensils after dark and the lobby door is locked after dark. The clerk had to give them to us through the credit card slot which is part of a very thick glass window so I don't think the neighborhood is the greatest. It was fine. The room was clean and nicely decorated. Relatively spacious. Breakfast was fine, though the breakfast "room" was the lobby of the hotel, which was tiiiiiiny. The beach isn't close enough to walk (about 3 miles+), but the mall is close by.

We had a problem with a stopped up toilet which they fixed immediately. The refrigerator froze everything. We would have appreciated a grab bar in the shower for personal security, and a towel bar in the area of the sink. The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast okay, but we prefer hot scrambled eggs to cold hard-boiled eggs.
