This has to be the cleanest room I've ever stayed in. And the staff was very accomodating. We arrived early for check-in, and they provided us use of a restroom to change into beach clothing. (We had just arrived from Minnesota).

The Viscay is a small family owned hotel (18 guest rooms) in the heart of South Beach. The building was built in the 40s so it has some charm. The staff was extremely friendly and very accommodating. The rooms were clean. The location was in the heart of South Beach. It is hard to ask anything more of a budget friendly hotel. The only two negatives […] are - 1) the parking garages in the immediate area get full very quickly on a busy weekend. 2) half of the rooms face 9th street, which can be loud with people coming to and from the party scene down the street (and the party scene doesn't end in Miami). I would recommend asking for a room that faces the south. All in all, a great place to stay. Would definitely go back. Read more

i actually liked the hotel. my room was large, clean, and the bed was exceptionally comfortable. i do not eat breakfast at a hotel in miami when there are multitudes of places to eat within walking distance so the complaints about the breakfast are not applicable to me.
