out of value="5""Excellent hotel"
Reviewed by Walter of Douglasville on Jun 18, 2008
Reception was fast and efficient. The hotel staff speaks French (as does all of Quebec) but spoke enough English to be effective for us. Our first evening was interrupted when the room above us had a plumbing problem that flooded our bathroom. The hotel response was prompt and they immediately moved us into a king suite for the duration of our stay. Plumbing problems can happen to anyone but I think the response of the staff to this emergency is an indication of what a quality establishment this is. The rooms are clean and comfortable with adequate towels and toiletries. The hotel location is in a very quiet residential neighborhood and has a great view of the St. Lawrence River. The location is great for peace and quiet but there are only a few restaurants nearby and Quebec City is about 20 miles away. The restaurant at Manoir de Tilly was excellent but dinner for 2 will run approx. $100. If you're looking for a quiet weekend in the country, the Manoir de Tilly is a great choice. If you want access to more restaurants and the activities in Quebec City, you may want to look closer to the city.
