Entry security was not well planned. Walk ins from the street without use of key card were possible.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Only complaint is I had a room that fronted route 1 and there were trucks with J brakes that woke me up on two occasions. That is the only complaint. The lady was very sweet at the front desk and very cleanGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Off season stay -Great price, location, room."
Best Western Gold Leaf was our 2nd hotel in area after staying in another uncomfortable hotel. We paid less at BW and had a much nicer room. BW in Dewey Beach is between Ocean and Rohobeth Bay. Price included parking garage(on level of room) and continental brkfst. Clean room - very comfortable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Good vacation stay"
Very convenient to the beach! Room decor has been updated in recent years which gives the room a new freshness.Genuine Expedia guest review
The staff was friendly, and the sheets were clean. Although it was across the street from a bar, the noise level was still fine (and we were going to bed early for a race the next day, so that was really great).Genuine Expedia guest review
Great location. We stay here every time we come to Dewey!! Never disappointed,Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"A decent nights stay"
We were there briefly ( checked in late and out early). It was fine for our purposes. Coffee maker didn't work, but we didn't bother calling for a replacement since we were leaving so early. Beds were decent, if a little worn. Good towels, bad water pressure in the shower. Nice front desk staff.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Short stroll to beach--beautiful but cold!"
Staff was pleasant and very helpful. Don't bother with continental breakfast---awful and room smelled! Never found fitness room. Public access computer was in constant use by hotel cleaning staff. Dewey Beach is in the process of renovation and major construction project is in process right across the street---as of Sept 2012. Bottom line though--for […] a beach hotel in Dewey Beach, it suited our needs. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
I completely enjoyed my stay, and I did extend my getaway for one additional night. The hotel is close to the beach, the bay, and the restaurants. The facility is well-mantained; continental breakfast choices were good. My only recommendation is that the hotel should identify handicapped parking on each parking level, but providing free parking is an […] asset. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"A Worth While Stay"
Convenient, well organized and a staff who was ready and willing to help in anyway they could. I even got to know some by first name as we had great conversations about the community and overall beach experience.Genuine Expedia guest review
"clean, friendly service, close to beach and bars"
Very enjoyable. The room was clean. 1 minute walk to the beach. Close to all of the bars. Even the continental breakfast was good. We will be staying here again next time we visit Dewey Beach, DE.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
This hotel has a lot of potential. The proximity to the beach is fantastic. However, it's LOUD. Both nights I had to call the front desk at 3am due to noise. The room was clean, however, the bathrooms could use some renovations. I wouldn't recommend this place to friends or family.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Dewey Beach stay"
Room was comfortable, overall clean. The shower curtain was moldy and the blanket between sheets rather old and fraying. AC was a bit noisy. The best features is that it's close to Quepasa and other restaurants and the beach is walking distance as is the bay.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nothing fancy, but acceptable for a short visit"
We went down to Dewey beach for one night to celebrate my daughter's birthday, so staying at the Best Western was acceptable for one night. The rooms are much nicer than the rest of the hotel. The breakfast is really nothing special. It's proximity to the beach is nice, but if you're looking for a really nice place to stay with all the bells and whistles, […] this is not the best choice. The restaurant, Nalu, across the street is really fun though. I highly recommend eating there. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great family hotel"
Overall, we had a great experience at the Best Western Gold Leaf. We have 5 children and stayed for a total of 3 nights. The hotel was only a few steps from the beach, which made it extremely convenient considering that we were able to walk to the beach everyday. There was also a rooftop swimming pool and the kids loved it. The hotel also offered a […] free breakfast each morning (waffles, bagels, muffins, juice, coffee) and although it was not extravagant, it saved us quite a bit of money considering that we have a family of 7. The hotel room was clean, but there was some obvious wear and tear in some of the common areas. Based on the proximity to the beach, rooftop pool, cleanliness of the room, and free breakfast, we will definitely go back again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Overall we were very happy and satisfied with the hotel and we would recommend it to others as well as stay there again. We are already planning our next stay there, and we just left a few days ago. thank you Best Western for a relaxing getaway.Genuine Expedia guest review
"OK for beach goers"
This hotel is located very near to the beach, which is a great location for beach goers. The Hotel is entirely satisfactory if not outstanding. Parking is excellent and is indoors. Front desk folks were friendly and helpfulGenuine Expedia guest review
"Could be better :-("
Most of the vending machines were either empty or not working. We tried to use the washer dryer the hotel had available. Although it was only $1.50 to wash and $2 to dry we had to dry our load of 4 beach towels and 3 swimsuits FOUR times and they STILL never dried completely. Upon telling the representative at the front desk he just said, "Ok" I felt […] disappointed. Our shower was AWFUL!!! I'm not sure if all of their showers are the same, but ours had a very tiny lip on the side so the water was always going onto the floor and the shower curtain was paper thin so the water would spray through or attach itself to your skin and the shower head basically leaked water instead of spraying but made alot of noise like it was trying to work properly. The a/c in our room was so-so. It always felt too damp!! I remember once walking in and thinking it was nice and cool, but that was only once. It would get cool, but the air always felt too moist!! The pool and gym were located on the 4th floor which just so happened to be on the same floor as us, but the pool was HOT!!! There is no other way to describe it. It was like a sauna. Altogether my children and I enjoyed the pool in the early morning or late afternoon, just don't expect to be able to swim in the afternoon. I loved that the hotel was literally right by the beach! You didn't have to cross the street to get to the beach. The ice machine and free breakfast was actually pretty nice. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"A great way to enjoy Dewey Beach and Rehoboth"
The building is a bit older, but the room was big and comfortable. The best thing about this hotel is the location - a short walk to the beach, across the street from the Jolly Trolley (which is the best way to get to Rehoboth, due to the difficulty of parking in that town), and right across the street from a great restaurant, Nalu. Plus the breakfast […] was very good - they even grind the coffee beans on the spot before making coffee. Also, very nice staff. We want to come back to this hotel! "Good location for families"
It was great that it was a direct half block walk to the ocean beach. There was a lifeguard station right nearby. Access to the inland waterway was also easy. Many restaurants in easy walking distance. The breakfast was nice and the rooftop pool was great. The actual room was a bit on the small side and the bathroom was also small and only had a shower […] no bathtub. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good Value for the Off-Season"
If you need to stay somewhere that's a good value during the off-season, and want to be close to the beach, this is a good choice. The hotel was only 200yds from beach access. The rooms were good and the beds were fantastic! The continental breakfast wasn't huge compared to some other hotels, but was adequate. Hotel staff members were friendly, courteous, […] and willing to help us with any need. The only down side was the shower; either the shower head or the water pressure needed to be changed/improved. This is also someplace I'd consider staying during the "tourist season" if it wasn't too costly. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Water views, close to beach, right on the highway"
This is a very convenient hotel, just down the street from the major bars in Dewey Beach. We could see the Bay from our room. Only downside is that it is right over the highway, so there's a lot of street traffic whizzing by. The rooms are fairly quiet, despite that.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western Dewey Beach, DE -- great beach spot"
This hotel went way beyond our expectations. We stayed here twice before in the last couple of months, and each stay was great. It's located on a narrow strip of land between the Atlantic Ocean and Rehoboth Bay. The Atlantic beach is only steps away; for the bayside, you have to cross Highway 1, but there is traffic light at the intersection. We stayed […] on a Wednesday night just before Christmas, so the hotel was nearly empty. We were on the top floor and could see both the Atlantic and Rehoboth Bay from the window. The room was quite spacious, and the bed was very comfortable. The room was also very clean, although this time there was an odd odor resembling rotting food near the entrance door and bathroom. We couldn't identify the source of the odor -- the refrigerator was empty and smelled clean, as did the clothes cabinet in the same area. By the next morning, we didn't notice the smell. The motel has its own ample parking garage -- great for a motel in this area. Our hotel was located in Dewey Beach, a popular beach town in its own right, but just a couple of miles away from Rehoboth Beach, which has even more restaurants and shops. If your interest is in outlet shops, there are tons of them along Highway 1 just north of Rehoboth. The location is also quite convenient for the Cape May-Lewes Ferry, which provides a relaxing and relatively inexpensive way to travel from Delaware to south Jersey. We booked this hotel last-minute for the Rehoboth Beach Marathon (highly recommended) and were very surprised by how deserted the place was relative to the price. Seems they could have dropped their prices a bit and conjured up more demand, even in the off-season. Check-in was painless, though the front desk clerk did question me why the reservation […] only indicated one person when we had four (smart aleck in me wanted to ask why I would book a room with three doubles for one person). Changing that was uneventful. The room itself was fine, but was very cold since the air conditioner was on full blast in mid-December. We were disappointed that the hot water was not working - and that the front desk clerk didn't mention anything about it. This was fixed a couple of hours later. There was nothing in the immediate area for dining or shopping so we went back into Rehoboth Beach for the evening. Upon our return the place was mostly quiet and the beds were comfortable. Check out was fine. No surprises. The stay was okay... nothing great but nothing too bad. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Excellent Service at the Best Western Gold Leaf"
We made a last minute reservation at this hotel. The front desk reception was extremely helpful in changing our room upon our request for a bathtub. My only negative comment (and this is for a lot of hotels these days) that the hot water in the shower/tub isn't hot enough. Very clean room and very comfortable beds.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Best Western Gold Leaf"
Hotel was nice and very uncrowded in December. I came in very late and the lady in the front office asked if I would like an extra hour to checkout. The extra sleep did quite a bit to alleviate my aches from travel, and made my stay that much more enjoyable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Hotel Good - Parking A Nightmare"
I have stayed in this hotel 2 times within the last year and both times there were problems with parking - one time you not get in the lot and the other time thee was a problem getting out. I am not sure why they cannot fix the problem but it causes delays and if it werre cold wintery weather I would look for another hotel.Genuine Expedia guest review

"Best Western Gold Leaf"
i would only recommend this hotel during off season when the prices online are the best. The hotel has been renovated but it's off season and there is nothing to do in Dewey Beach, Rehoboth Beach after Halloween. The hotel was fine but the staff is not so accommodating. We checked in at 11:00 pm and needed a bit of a later check out. They would only […] go so far as 11:30 and that even put them out. Don't you expect that when you finish your shower you will be able to open the curtain and reach out for a bath towel? Opps, no bath towels (only hand towels). "Just a over-night stay."
The Best Western Gold Leaf was advertised as being located in the Rehobeth Beach area and it is not. The bed surfaces are very firm and the springs around the edges (at the top of the matress) are sicking-out, very uncomforable.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Convient location with indoor free Parking!"
My stay for the most part was enjoyable although I did not devote too much time there as I was there to experience the fantastic Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival. However when I was there I was quite disappointed that the WiFi Internet service was down for approx. 80% of the time and when it was on it was very very slow. As a photojournalist I was unable […] to post photos to my web page when I had down time away from the Jazz Festival. Otherwise when I do return next year I will have to be guaranteed WiFi Internet service otherwise I will have to stay somewhere else. The Hotel Staff were nice and very courteous. "Best Western Gold Leaf Rehoboth, DE"
Staff were very helpful. Internal parking ramp makes room access easy. Easy access to the ocean. Great that wireless access is included as is parking. This is an average hotel. Average cleanliness, ammenities. I would probably stay again because of access and affordability however there were concerns. In the first room I had, I found spots of dried […] brown matter on the inside corner of the mattress cover and a similar patch of dark matter under the mattress sealed cover. I did not see any bugs but it concerned me enough to request a room change which was readily accomodated by hotel staff. In the second room the coffee pot did not work and the channel changer worked sporadically. The room itself was comfortable with a partial view of the ocean. All in all I would rate this hotel as average. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not in Rehoboth!"
We wanted to stay IN Rehoboth Beach, Delaware. Even though this hotel came up with a Rehoboth address, it is a few miles down the road from Rehoboth in Dewey, Delaware. We drove to Rehoboth, but we were disappointed that we were not there to walk the boardwalk evenings from our hotel. Also we did not know that it was Greyhound weekend in Dewey and we […] had a barking dog next door to our room.
