After two nights at the Maerchen Hotel we decided to extend one night, and they were very accommodating. We stayed in two different rooms--both with very different arrangements and decor--decidedly charming.. The fairy tail theme was used throughout--but was discreet and not over the top. We ate all three nights in the hotel--all great meals. The personalized service by the helpful, bilingual staff was very nice..

Hotel was clean and well taken care of. Motoring decor was a nice touch given we were staying there because of its proximity to the Nurburgring. Nice breakfast was included.

A family run inn in a very small farming village about 12km north of Treis Karden- appeared to be recently built or renovated as the rooms and bathroom were modern and very clean. The breakfast in the morning was very nice - scrambled eggs, toast, fruit, assorted cheeses and juice. We were also very happy that the free wireless internet signal was very strong. The only downside is check-out time is 10am and is firmly enforced.

Hotel management was extremely friendly and helpful. We used the hotel mostly for sleeping and did not partake of the dining or spa add-ons. In this context, it provided great value.

This was a quirky hotel to rent. The town of Rodder is not really close to any other major town, but my wife and I took this as an adventure. The hotel is directly across the street from a working farm, so with open windows, the animals and tractors may wake you up earlier than you like. The town is a quaint place, and the breakfast at the hotel was just perfect. Typical German breakfast. The hotel is non-smoking, yet we smelled cigarette smoke in the lower hallway and some of our linens had a smoky smell as well. Overall, it was a fun adventure for us out in the southern German countryside and people were very gracious hosts.

"Kicking leaves in the Vulkaneifel"
We enjoyed a happy few days in a comfortable and welcoming environment. Our room was large and comfortable situated in the Studio block, top floor. A lift would have been useful for the luggage. . As it was half term the dining room was lively with sporty families and many todlers.The dining room staff were efficient, friendly and spoke English, the […] food was splendid. Walking round the Maars kicking the fallen leaves in the Autumn sunshine was splendid. The swimming pool and the spa proved very popular, plenty of towels, available, robes and flip flops provided in the bedroom. Die Hotelanlage liegt in eine landschaftlich sehr schönen Umgebung . Wir hatte allerdings ein Doppelzimmer gebucht , und den hohen Standard eines vier Sterne Hotels, den Dorint selber bewirbt, erwartet , Man hat uns allerdings in eine Ferienwohnung verlegt und dies als besonders toll dargestellt . Das wäre toll wenn meine gesamte Familie mitgekommen […] wäre , und wir selber kochen wollten . Das uns ein Scharm der 60 er entgegenkommt , ist ggf beabsichtigt , Die Zimmer waren sauber ohne Zweifel , jedoch fanden wir es schon seltsam , das in einem Viersterne Hotel die Teppiche in den Fluren abgelaufen und mit alten Flecken überhauft waren . Ebenfalls war es sonderlich; daß in den Vebindungsfluren zum Restaurant immer die Schmutzwäschewagen abgesteltt standen, an die man sich vorbeizwengen mußten, Weiterhin fanden wir es für nicht notwendig , das die Türen der Serviceräume immer offengestellt waren. mit herrlichen Blick auf alte Betten und Putzeimer. Wellness- und Restaurandbereich entsprachen der Erwartung ,Frühstück angemessen. Insgesamt war das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis nicht angemessen . Ett perfekt hotell för den som gillar naturen, ligger lite avsides från stan dock så bil behövs. Men du kan strosa omkring i omgivningarna eller utnyttja hotellets sportanläggningar, bad mm.
