"Good transit hotel"
We stayed at this hotel for one night on our way from Vicksburg to New Orleans. The room was comfortable, albeit the bed wasn't too comfortable. The pool was good and there are plenty of restaurants within easy driving distance. Beware breakfast finishes at 9am but a good excuse to visit a local IHOP!

"Hotel for Boards"
Needed 1 night stay so I would not have to drive in from New Orleans to take Boards. This hotel is right across from the Pearson Center, so literally takes 1 minute to get to the test center. Breakfast was more than satisfactory. Has a basketball court and small exercise room in case you need to work off some jitters. The hotel is somewhat old, but definitely more than satisfactory. I would definitely recommend to other test-takers.

"Worst hotel I have been"
The hotel is in very bad shape. Needs an urgent update. The room was dirty , smelly and the mirror closet door was broken. The sheets are worn out.

"Best Biscuits"
The suite was nice and spacious. It was more than enough for our family of 5. The breakfast was good. We especially enjoyed the biscuit(it was the best we had in all the hotels we've stayed in)and gravy.

"Don't bother"
This hotel was rated high on some travel sites but it is terrible. The staff at the desk were very nice and the room is very spacious but it is a poorly run dirty hotel. There was a soap bar left in the shower from a previous guest. There were numerous spit balls on the wall next to the TV and the mirror in the bedroom was so smeared it was unbelievable. It appears that they have tried to put lipstick on a pig at this hotel but it is still not impressive. There are many hotels in the area so don't bother with stopping here.

"Didn't Get The Room I Booked"
Did not get the room a requested. They were over booked. I booked a King with Balcony/Pool view. Front Desk person, was very friendly. She did upgrade us to a Queen Suite. (Room was nice, but no balcony and not near the pool.) Room was clean and pleasant smelling. Only problem was the bathroom. Mold all around the tub/shower walls. Happy Hour at the Bar was nice. Bartender was very friendly. Appetizers were very good. Restrooms in Hotel for public could use updating. They are very old. Employees were very friendly. Quick check-in and out!

"Dirty Room"
We loved the Hotel Lobby and Breakfast, but the room cleanliness left something to be desired, Bed was not made up one day, they didn't leave us enough towels one day, and the whole time was a dead bug along the one wall and a Hershey Kisses wrapper tag. We asked for an extra desk chair since there were 2 of us in the room, and were told that just wasn't possible, they don't have extra chairs sitting around, but later found a manager and he got us one right away. Morning staff person left something to be desired as far as helpfulness. Wouldn't stay here again

"Pretty good hotel"
We stopped here for the night on our way to Gulf Shores with the family, the room was a lot bigger then I had expected and pretty nice, comfy pillows and the bed was nice. The only complaint is the shower curtain was moldy on the bottom and the hashbrown at breakfast are gross. Other then that we would stay here again

"Ok hotel but service is just not up to par"
Hotel would have gotten a lot better review, but when you stay in a room that the air conditioner doesn't work that well in August and you call the front desk and they do nothing but say "I will let management know" Then you are not going to get a good review. The hotel is nice and conveniently located, it is an older hotel but they have maintained it well, except for the A/C. I never even got a call back about it or anything....Will not stay there again.

"Stay in BR"
The staff was nice & helpful. Breakfast was great & the internet worked. However, the room we stayed had stained furniture. The room was humid even though the A/C was on, and I think that was due to the filter being dirty.

"Overall a great stay!!"
The staff was awesome and very friendly...our room was cozy and very clean...my only complaint about the room would be the size of the bathroom...it's smaller than most although you do have a separate sink outside of the bathroom...The breakfast would have been awesome, if there were any...unfortunately by the time we went down for breakfast which was around 7:30, the only thing available was a few pieces of bacon and the self serve waffles...we tried to wait to see if they were going to put more out but we had to be somewhere by 8:30 therefore we had to leave...all in all I would recommend this hotel to my friends and family...just make sure you get there extra early for breakfast haha!

"Spacious rooms"
The room was perfect for our family of 5, my husband and I felt like we weren't all crammed together. There was a room with a sofa bed, another room with two queens and two bathrooms. The hotel itself felt older and I noticed some things that should have been kept up (peeling wallpaper, no extra blanket). Overall our stay was enjoyable and the breakfast was delicious.

"I love this Place ~"

Do you now how some places have the word "Suites" in the name and when you arrive it is just a room? These rooms are suites with two separate rooms that are large. I will return ~

"The General Manager"
Arrived to a very busy desk and had to wait a while to check in. The receptionist was very friendly, but needed one more person there! We arrived in our sweet on the second floor (no elevators) and found that the air conditioner was very loud and making obnoxious noises. I called and asked for another room. I went down to the desk (still busy) and waited for nearly an hour before another room was ready on the first floor. They were still cleaning rooms, so it wasn't quite ready. It was now nearing 5:00 PM. We finally got our room and found it to be perfect with two rooms and two bathrooms which came in very handy, since we stayed six nights. The hotel staff was very friendly although they appeared to short staffed in housekeeping. Our room was usually not cleaned until mid to late afternoon, but they always did a good job. The hot breakfast was very good with eggs, bacon, sausage, sausage gravy and several other items. The pool was decent in size, but the water was warm so we only used the pool once. The workout facility should be updated.

"Disappointed by the events of trying to check in."
They had no available rooms in the morning when I check in. Then I came back at the end of the night and the room they gave me was not clean in fact it was mid being done with peoples bathing suit in the bathroom. No toilet paper.

Several things were not working in the room. The hair dryer wasn't working, the iron didn't work properly, & there were no Kleenex in the bathroom. During breakfast they didn't bring out any more food 30 minutes before closing it down after we asked.

"Great room for the price!!"
Great room for the price. It was actually two connected rooms... one with two queen beds, tv and bathroom and the other a sitting room with tv, sofa sleeper, and a second bathroom. Lots of space for our family and having a second bathroom was wonderful! Hotel wasn't new, but seemed clean and breakfast was pretty good. Overall was great and we'd stay again!

"Dirty room"
Room was so dirty we could not relax! Moldy shower, hair in sink and surfaces has a sticky red liquid dried all over in bathroom and at sitting table. Room and halls had a really bad smell as well. Would never stay there again.

"Clean, Comfortable, Safe Hotel"
Check-in was smooth and uneventful. Room and bathroom were clean. Plenty of parking spaces. We were in Building 'B'...they go to at least 'E'. Some first floor rooms had patios and some second floor rooms had a balcony...our room had neither. The outdoor pool looked inviting, but we did not get to enjoy it as we had a concert scheduled for that evening. It was an easy walk to the main building the next morning to have breakfast which was included in the room rate. There was a very large breakfast area lots of tables and chairs. The breakfast buffet had all the regular items, e.g., scrambled eggs, sausage patties, hash browns, grits, too-die-for biscuits, oatmeal with toppings, three different cereals, waffle makers, multiple juices, milk, coffee, toast and bagels. There were several restaurants within easy driving distance. We also had Wi-Fi connectivity available in our room. I would definitely stay here again whenever in Baton Rouge.

"Very Nice"
The staff was very friendly as soon as I checked in til I left. We had a problem with the television in the other room not coming on called the front desk and within about 10 minutes someone was up there to fix it and all it needed was to have it unplugged and plugged back in. I also requested extra towels seeing how my family was with me and we had been swimming all day an within just a couple of minuted we had a stack of towels. The pool was very nice and breakfast was good. I will be back to this hotel

"Bad hotel experience"
Per your website it stated that rooms had jetted tubs-ours didn't, the room entry/closet had a musty smell, bathroom light didn't work, breakfast cold and juices tasted like colored water, rooms weren't cleaned during our stay, ash cans were placed right outside of entry way so you had to walk through smokers smoke to get inside, walls were slightly stained and looked like upgrades were incomplete.

We've stayed there many times and found it to be very nice. Not so much anymore. Mattresses feel cheap, sheets don't fit... Seem to large, maybe a queen size on full bed. Dishes left in hallway for 2 days. Definitely not up to usual standard.

Very pleased with the presidential suite. I've used Best Western frequently in the past in various parts of the country. I've always been pleased but this one is by far the best. I'll definitely be using this room again.

"Weekend staycation"
We had a great stay. The kids enjoyed the pool and the complimentary snacks. The room was really clean and comfortable and the breakfast was great as was the staff. This was a weekend staycation for us and we just might have to plan another one.

"Last stay"
Stayed here many times and has been our favorite Baton Rouge hotel until this past weekend. Check in is 3 pm. We arrived at 3:30 and were told it would be at least 30 minutes before room was ready. At 4:10 we had a room. Went to room and noticed a very strong cleaning smell. Pulled covers back on beds and they appeared to be dirty sheets. Contacted staff and we had to leave room for 30 minutes while they changed sheets. Came back and realized the reason the cleaning smell was so strong was because the non smoking room had been smoked in. We requested another room and were told to leave for another hour while they cleaned a replacement room. The replacement room was somewhat dirty with no toilet paper. Went to front desk and received paper. Next day when we returned to hotel our cards wouldn't open the door. Had to return to front desk and have cards reprogrammed. At this point wife asked to talk to a supervisor and the person at front desk refused her request. We were given 2 free drink vouchers for our inconveniences

"needs attention."
Room was nice but smell like stale air.spray air freshener allover but didn't help..check in counter said there would be free food and drinks at bar from 5 to 7 but only had chips and dip and no...free drinks.since when you can have a bar.b q.at the pool area.needs

"Nice facilities, a little short on staff."
Room wasn't ready until 4:15. They claimed two washing machines broke down. Hard to believe a classy hotel like this has two machines break down at the same time and would only have 1 sheet available for every bed every night. I think they were just short on cleaning staff. Sat in lobby for 1 1/2 hr. waiting for room. Watched a customer walk in, ask for a room, handed guest clerk currency tip, and walked out with a room key. Proof money greases the wheel.

"Great stop over!"
On our way to Houston we stayed with our dog. The staff was extremely friendly, very clean room and a wonderful breakfast buffet. Situated in a nice business neighborhood with walk ability to several restraunts. Will definitely stop again!

"Best location"
It was a very nice location with all the great features especially the friendly pets program provided to us which it a plus. The only problem was that we smelled the funny order in the room but they don't know why. They offered us to change the room but we declined because we were very exhausted that night.

"Outstanding for budget travelers."
Quick drive through Baton Rouge on my way to Florida. The hotel was easy to get to and centrally located around necessary amenities including a drug store, walmart, and lots of food options. The people at check in were very friendly, they even played with my dog and gave her a toy! The pool area of the hotel was slightly loud but once it was night quieted down quickly.

"Wonderful Breakfast!"
Stayed here as I was visiting families in three towns plus attending an LSU baseball game. Hotel is situated near numerous restaurants and shopping, including a Walmart, a mini-mart and a post office. The on site coin laundry was convient as was the business center. I requested a quite room and was given one in the "C" wing which was excellent. The breakfast was outstanding, loaded with hot food items. Desk personnel were courteous and helpful. Only negative is one day I was away visting and returned to fibd the room not cleaned. Othwise enjoyed the hitel and definitely will stay there again and recommend it to friends.
