I had to make a very short trip (2 days) to Marseilles from San Francisco and needed a place to assure me of good sleep, access to WiFi, and a good breakfast. The Palm Beach which is right on the water provided all of these plus a very relaxing resort-like atmosphere. The hotels only drawback is its location - well outside the city center. I am sure this is not a problem for the bulk of its European clientele but it is a drawback for those of us who love to walk and explore the city.

The Hotel Belle Vue has a perfect location right on the old port. Each room as at least a small view of the port and Notre Dame de la Guarde. Easy access to sights and trains. The room was no larger than a postage stamp but it was wonderfully adventurous and quaint. Great for a getaway. Courteous and friendly staff. Lots of nearby restaurants.

Spent a little extra money on this hotel but was glad I did. Staff were awesome, especially the guy with the girlfriend in Paris. Thanks for all your help! Only problem we had was a stuck valve on shower, but we didn't even complain about it because we were having such a good time.

We took this hotel because nothing in the town center was available at a decent price. The hotel is clean, the staff friendly, and the terrace to the back looks out over a wooded area. Beyond this, the hotel's location is inconvenient if you want to explore Aix. It's next to a busy freeway, too far to walk into town, and the last bus leaves the old […] city at 9:00 p.m. Taxis from town were impossible to find in the summer. Location is good for aix, but the hotel access must be ascertained with a gps. It is a one lane access road off the highway. The staff was friendly, hotel itself is nice. The room was adequate at best white formica furnitue,no closet no safe for.laptop,and the elevator did.not fit the suitcase sidewase(not that uncommon though for central france). As […] such the neighborhood is a non traveled highway road.. Resulting in the parking area and hotel to be gated closed late at.night.. My husband and I with our 4 and 6 year old children stayed with Novotel point De L'Arc. We had a really good stay and that is thanks to the wonderful staff that were so kind to the children. The breakfast was excellent also. I highly recommend it to families.

5 netter på dette hotellet. Kjedelig meny¨ i restauranten, men veldig god service, og grei beliggenhet. 7 minutter å gå til bussen som gikk til byen hvert 20 minutt. bussturen tok 5 minutter. Ingenting å gjøre i nabolaget, ei heller restauranter innefor 15 minutters gåtur...

The hotel looks like a low scale apartment block behind the highway. The lobby and restaurant has been renewed 2011 and looks very nice and comfortable. The Garden with pool (late April not open yet) is nice and has a connection to a jogging route along the river. Our kids liked the kids corner with playstation and wooden bricks at lot.
