Room needed a little airing out - a bit stale smelling. But sheets and towels all freshly laundered, bed comfortable. Nothing fancy but a fine place to stay. Breakfast was very good! Lots of things to choose from and very friendly staff.

Drove back to room on Saturday at 9 pm (i.e., not late), and had to park at a distance from the hotel. Later, a stranger smoked outside and then pounded on our door, apparently as a prank, at 2 am. No security.

There was a leak under the base of the toilet. Water leaked out onto the floor. I had to wear my shoes at all times in the room. That tracked the water all over the carpet so I had to leave my shoes on at all times in the room. Very unsanitary. Unfortunately I didn't notice this problem until I was ready for bed and didn't want to get all dressed to change rooms. Do you think the management offered any compensation? No! Don't stay there. It's not worth the few dollars you save over the next option.

Good place to stay. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Forgot my toothbrush and needed band-aids and that was no problem- they provided them to me at no charge. Nice room. Good continental breakfast that included sausage and eggs.

I Booked the room because of proximity to events in town, but turned out pleasantly surprised by room, service and breakfast. Room was clean, shower was strong, pillows and bed were comfortable, breakfast was pretty good, and the location is ideal.

We decided to stay there for the indoor swimming & the location. It was much nicer than I had remembered as I had previously stayed there several years before for my daughters birthday, specifically for the indoor swimming because its during the cold part of spring!! The king sized bed was so comfortable, the pillows were so nice & fluffy and the bedding was was soft on my skin, I loved that! Not only that but we got to rent a movie to watch and it was 'Frozen', which wasn't in theaters anymore but not quite yet on dvd. So that was pretty awesome because in the morning time we had one of the best continental breakfasts we have ever had!! It even had bacon & eggs!!! Waffles, cereals, both hot & cold, muffins, danishes, you name it it was there. We were so happy with our stay that we plan to come spend the night again next month, again, for my daughters birthday! We were there this time as a last minute 2 year anniversary get away. It was definately our favorite anniversary! Our first one wasn't even as fun as our second one! =)

It was decent. The location is convenient for Main Street, Northampton. The room was clean and tidy, but you could see many places where sloppy maintenance had been performed. The whole family were woken in the early hours by a fire alarm caused by a leak in the sprinkler compressor. The pool was closed because of someone being sick.. It would have been nice if some form of compensation had been offered, but it wasn't. Manager could have dealt with the whole situation with grace, but she was just rude. Sometimes things can be overlooked if staff are empathetic.

On a rainy/sleety day having driven from Vermont to Northampton being able to get a room at the Quality Inn was a relief. We were so pleasantly surprised by the size of the room and bathroom, and that there was an extra sink in the room! All sinks were white Corian and beautifully wide and clean. The was a big desk, big chair, and an easy chair with ottoman in the room. The bed was heavenly with a light down comforter! Service on a heating noise and a non-functional coffee maker was IMMEDIATE! Breakfast was ample and the restaurant was so bright and clean. Wonderful place - such a haven.

Nice room, friendly staff and excellent pool. It was extremely cold outside, so chance to swim in a clean, heated pool was wonderful. Heater in room failed, but maintenance person switched it out for us in a flash.

This is our third stay at this Inn. We stayed here Xmas Eve. A warm room awaited us and a Christmas surprise of chocolates. Very kind people. Lovely breakfast space. Location ideal for us when visiting family.

We weren't able to adjust the temperature in the room to a comfortable level - even with the heat shut off it stayed uncomfortably warm & dry in the room.

This was a great place to stay for the cost . was cheaper than other hotels in the area about a half mile form the center of Northampton ma. greeted well, room very clean, breakfast bar was stock very well. over all great place to stay highly recommended.

This motel has been around for a long time and, in some areas, it shows. On the other hand, the fitness facility and pool in the new part of the building are a big addition, and the lobby and breakfast room are also nicely updated. We were surprised that the leaves that had blown into the corridors and onto the balcony that led to our room were not removed for the whole time we were there (5 days). The servicing of our room itself was, in contrast, perfect.

My boyfriend and I were in town to see a show at the Calvin Theatre. It's a 5-10 minute walk to downtown in a relatively quiet neighborhood. This is a motel, but it's kept up well and rooms were surprisingly large and clean. The price was perfect and I would gladly stay here again.

Stayed here because it was closest and affordable Inn to the Calvin Theater. Was right off the highway and an easy walk down to the theater. Says it was a mile but took less than 10 minutes to walk to downtown. The neighborhood is a little sketchy at night, lots of bars and dark alleyways. Room was clean. Light flickered after it was shut off all night. Fan on AC heater unit not loud enough. Overall I was happy with the stay.

Our first room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. The room also had a musty/moldy odor. We did switch to a new room which was a slight improvement. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

We stayed 2 nights in a row and were very pleased with everything . We then booked an additional night later in the week. That room smelled of stale smoke and the thermostat was on overheat. It took the night to cool the room. The sink was also slow to drain.Breakfast space is wonderful. Adequate eats available. Dunkin donuts across the street , if you need more.

Smelly and noisy. It was clean. Old fashioned entry into rooms from parking lot. Some people decided to party at 2 AM on a Wed nite in the parking lot. This place is inexpensive. However, usually you get what you pay for!

Too many things were not working in the motel room. Expedia descriptions are not clear that this is a Motel and all double bed rooms are on 2nd fl no elevator. While the desk clerk upgraded us at no charge to a queen room because we asked for a first floor room, the first thing that went wrong was they put us in a room that had already been given to someone else. We had just unpacked the car and had to move everything. Which was fine because the room smelled. New room sink didn't drain, tub didn't drain and both needed a plumber to fix the second day there. Toilet often continued to run after flushing. There were two outlets to plug in refrigerator, coffee pot, microwave oven and hair dryer. When Unplugging the oven, I must have minutely moved the refrigerator plug which caused to to stop working. But we didn't know until 24 hrs later and had to throw things out. To top it off the was a loud party in the room next to ours until 3 am of the morning we were leaving. Would not stay here again.

This Hotel is in the town of Northampton so if you are visiting Smith College it is a good choice. The TV had snow on it something I was surprised at and the towels were few and fairly thin. The A/C worked well and the free breakfast was reasonable with both hot and cold food. There are cheaper hotels further away but if you need to be close to Smith this is a fine choice.

The only problem was that we had to walk outside to get to the indoor pool. Since it was summer, that wasn't a problem. But if the temperature were a little cooler, it would have been a problem. Otherwise, it was a pleasant stay.

This place was much better than expected. The room was in very good repair, clean, and comfortable. The staff was very pleasant and helpful (they even changed a bed type mix up at no charge) and the breakfast was much more extensive than I expected. I'd definitely stay there again, and would recommend.

My stay at Quality Inn & Suites Northampton was to help my daughter prepare to move into Northampton. My room was on the second floor; and I was delighted to learn that I could be comfortable in a quiet, clean and convenient hotel for a very reasonable price. Booked this room at the last minute. It was pricier than I would have wanted but for last minute in Northampton, I really can't complain. The room was clean, spacious and much better than one might expect for a motel. I was especially impressed with the granite countergtops in the room and in the waiting room/breakfast area. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. They provided a breakfast buffet complete with eggs, fruit and pastry. Best of all, very convenient to downtown Northampton. I'd prefer a local B&B but if these aren't available, Quality Inn & Suites will take good care of you!

I was very happy and pleasantly surprised with this hotel! It has been renovated and I really liked the rooms - beds were incredibly comfortable pillow-top/equivalent, great quality sheets, granite or sufficiently faux countertops. Good breakfast, great service. Great value! Will stay again!

I turned the light on in the bathroom, the paper board material came out of the fan to the floor. I believe there is a mouse up there!! AH!! The air condition was not very good, not enough cool!! My friends hate the pillows, not support and we have stiff necks in the morning. Ah!! The room is 221. The shower is great for tall person. Love it and breakfast is great, too.

This hotel has been updated since it was a Day's Inn. Room was clean and had everything we wanted, including microwave and mini-fridge. Hotel has a pool and continental breakfast. The location is convenient both to the highway and downtown Northampton. Can't beat the price for all of this.

Had transportation issues and ending up booking the room about 15 minutes before I arrived. Staff were all very friendly and willing to hold bags for the afternoon, after we checked out. (A friend and I were attending commencement activities at Smith). Free breakfast was a nice surprise. I am not sure if I will return, since the location looks a little motel-ish, but it was a welcome rest that night.

the room was surface clean, but this hotel probably needs to be gutted and refitted in order to be really clean. the pool was murky and not inviting. it was a convenient location (reasonable walk to downtown through mostly residential neighborhood) and the staff is friendly and helpful. typical low-budget, highway exit type hotel.

The wife and I took a day trip to Northampton and decided to stay overnight at this hotel. It's a 10 minute walk to downtown and is very easy to get to off of nearby major routes. The room was clean and had cable, a coffee machine, and plenty of space. It did have a slightly funny smell, but it wasn't too much of a bother. The breakfast buffet in the morning was good. There were several types of cereal, hard boiled eggs, a waffle maker, juice, fruit, pastries, assorted breads, and eggs and sausage. Most of it was not the freshest, but they had a big spread. While we were there they ran out of sausage and egg patties and didn't replenish them. The fruit was a little sad as well. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We received a courtesy call about a half hour after check-in to make sure we had everything we needed. They let us keep our car parked in the lot for the afternoon after we checked out while we walked downtown. Overall, it was a pleasant stay. I would recommend this hotel for a day or two, but probably not longer than that.

After a long flight to Northampton, I was met by a and an untidy room. I had to switch to a clean room downstairs but the issue was resolved very quickly. Wi-fi quality is terrible, albeit non-existent. Good news: breakfast is good! The daytime receptionist was very kind, nighttime not so much, but both were helpful. All in all, I think Northampton is a great town and the location of the hotel is good!

Convenient to Main Street Northampton - walking distance to restaurants. Internet did not work in rooms. Noisy due to people partying in the weekend. Would not stay here again.

Perfect for what we needed. Clean room, comfortable beds. Didn't need it this time but good to know there was a fridge and microwave in the room. Would definitely stay again. Staff was very welcoming and helpful.
