The Hotel was easy to fine, beautifully decorated, and the staff was very helpful. Our only problem was no wash clothes. We asked at the front desk for wash clothes thinking the cleaning staff just forgot them.. The older man at the desk asked if that was a hygene thing? He didn't have a clue and my sister and I had a laugh and a great story to tell. Great price (off season), good breakfast, clean.

Like most of the hotels in Ireland the "double beds" are not of great quality. But otherwise the room was very nice. Seems to be a great place for families. As a couple we enjoyed being able to walk on the beach. Also had a very nice dinner.

Absolutely loved Renvyle. The staff were so welcoming and you felt relaxed from the moment you stepped through the doors. The food in the restaurant was first class and both for dinner and breakfast the staff went out of their way to find us a cosy romantic corner table. If you need to go somewhere to relax and get away from it all this is the place. […] I feel bad giving any negative comment because we were so happy with our stay but the only drawback was that the bed was very uncomfortable. Could do with renewing their matresses. Read more

Had a two night stay in Renvyle House Hotel recently and, as always, it was amazing. I just love everything about this place. Its old world charm and big peat fires bring an immediate sense of well-being. Staff are so helpful and pleasant and the food is exceptional. Look forward to my next visit which will be very soon.

I had heard about this hotel for many years from others but this was my first visit. From the moment I arrived until I checked out three days later I found everything about the hotel to be wonderful. The staff couldn't be more helpful, of kinder. The food was excellent, I dined on one of the evenings in the main dining room and the menu was extensive […] and varied. They have a snooker room and I played a couple of times during my stay. My room was warm and cosy and I was telephoned by the hotel shortly after I booked to be asked whether I was attending a wedding which co-incided with my visit. As I was not part of the wedding party they made sure that my room was in a quiet part of the hotel so that I would not be disturbed by the celebrations. I was genuinely touched by this thoughtfulness. All in all Renvyle House Hotel is a marvellous place to spend any amount of time you have to spare. Price-wise I found it to be tremendous value. Breakfast is served from 8.30 but because I had to leave early on the morning of my departure they made sure I could have breakfast before the dining room opened. Can't wait to visit it again. Renvyle is like been at a country house weekend but one where you can invite yourself. Five star service in an Arts and Crafts style building. Beside a beach, lake and pool. Many new Irish hotels could learn from the managment team how to run a real hotel !

A bit out of the way but well worth the detour. Public areas nice. Well appointed and cosy fires. Breakfast and bar meal at night good. Nice gardens and great views. Bedroom small and a bit dated but spotless and everything worked. Would visit again.

hotel was perfect for secluded get away but entertainment was a problem as there was only 3 channels on the tv and limited entertainment by the hotel. Setting was perfect. Would have been improved by dvd in the bedroom and dvd library. This is important as you cant guarentee good weather all the time
