Flew down to Jax for a wedding. Decided to stay on the Beach. I had a King Oceanfront, put My Mom and sister in an Queen double Oceanfront. Location is perfect, loved sitting with family around the fire pit at night. The rooms and beds quite comfortable. View from balcony fantastic! Only thing missing was room service. Can't wait to come back.

Location. Wingate by Wyndham is in Jacksonville, Florida, 1.3 miles from WindsorParke Golf Club and 6.2 miles from Jacksonville Arboretum. The Museum of Science and History is 12.2 miles and Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is 13.7 miles away.

"Will Definately stay here again!"
Breaksfast Yummy. CLEAN inall areas. staff was friendly. A+++++ Will stay again on future trips to the Mayo Clnic.

Hotel is a few miles from May. Breakfast was good, fresh waffles. walking distance to Ruby Tuesdays for lunch/dinner. They were doing some construction at mid day and mad for a difficult time napping but this seems to be the exception. 50% of the price for the hotel on the Mayo campus. Worth the short drive

Everything was good until the last night. My travelling partner was assigned a room on the fifth floor, and could not sleep because of a loud noise coming from the ceiling. Maintenance was called and after he checked it out, found it was a faulty ceiling fan and there was nothing he could do until the a.m. When I checked out, I explained to the desk […] clerk what had happened and she seemed unconcerned about the situation. Other than that, everything was excellent. Especially the breakfast. I just booked a room at this hotel again. The service was excellent and the employees could not have been friendlier to us. Great location if you are going to Mayo or in anywhere in Southeastern Jacksonville.

Chose this hotel for a mini vacation with my kids. The hotel could not be in a better location, with restaurant across street, and supermarket right next door, not to mention a 5 min or less drive to St. John Town Center!!! The only downfall I had was the pool, I was looking for an indoor pool for my kids to go swimming in the winter, which is usually […] unheard of, and the pool was not completely indoor. half of it was, but it was only separated by a plastic curtain divider, so if it was cold outside, so was the pool regardless of which side you went it. As luck would have it, the weekend we stayed had a heat jump and they still got to enjoy some time in the pool. Our room was awesome, we had a Queen suite w/sofabed. And with my 3 month old there, it was so convienent to have a little mini kitchen sink to clean his bottles in! I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Jacksonville. I was very pleased with my stay. My husband had appointments at The Mayo clinic which finished early, but had exhausted him. Although I had not thought to request an early check in, we went to the hotel and were pleasantly surprised when the young man at the front desk provided us with a room right away. We were having some medical evaluations at the Mayo clininc and did not know exactly how many days we would need to stay. The staff was very accommodating and due to availability let us come in earlier than the normal check in time and when we called back and said we needed another day to to early morning tests. We were allowed last minute reservatiions […] at our current rate and did not have to change rooms. We will be coming back to the clinic in a couple of weeks and hope we can stay at that Wingate., It was very convenient to the clinic. Read more

Our room was large, nclean, accessible and comfortable. After a very nice complimentary breakfast we were taken by a free shuttle to and from the Mayo clinic. I will definitely return.

Thank you for taking the stress out of my stay. Having to visit Mayo clinic is stressful enough. Your free transportation to Mayo was a wonderful bonus. I plan to use this hotel again when I have to come back to Mayo.

"DO NOT STAY HERE!"
My husband and I were very excited about our weekend getaway to Jacksonville over New Years. The hotel had great reviews and we enjoyed ourselves until the day after we returned home we were charged $107 and accused of stealing two blankets and two pillows from the room. This was an absurd accusation as we did not and politely asked them to check the […] cameras and door locks to verify this. They told us they could neither confirm nor deny any such event. We were told we would have to "suck up" this atrocious cost. My husband was in the military for 6 years and has stayed at many hotels in his life and has never been treated in this manner, nor have I. I have no idea how the 2 blankets and pillows were misplaced but I refuse to be charged $107 for something I absolutely did not do. AGAIN....DO NOT STAY HERE!!!!!!! Read more

This hotel was great. The service was excellent also. The breakfast which was included in the price, was top notch. It was delicious and fresh and the service was great. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel was top notch and the staff was readily available to assist with any questions and/or problems. The only problem I encountered was that the Shuttle Bus for the Mayo Clinic does not facilitate wheelchairs. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to use it for future visits.

very nice hotel with an interesting swimming pool (half indoor and half outdoor), good for the money. with the exception of one front desk person who declined late check out all staff are very polite and courteous, rooms are very comfortable but there is a little bit humidity in the air inside the rooms

Very nice staff, clean room. The kids loved the pool that is indoor and outdoor that they can swim through. Breakfast was nice as well.
