Hotel Features.The Renaissance Aruba Resort & Casino comprises two buildings: the seaside Ocean Suites and the adults-only Marina Hotel. From early morning until late night, golf carts shuttle guests between the two, separated by the Aruba parliament building.
The six-story, 300-room Marina Hotel is across the street from the resort's marina. The building features the elegant 24-hour Crystal Casino, a theater, L.G. Smith's Steak & Chop House, and a spa. The hotel's indoor mall leads directly to Oranjestad's main shopping district. Amenities also include a street-side pool and sundeck and a contemporary lobby lounge serving Japanese-style bentos and Spanish-style tapas. A small, lower-lobby lagoon has a dock where guests can board shuttle boats to the resort's private island.
The five-story, 257-suite Ocean Suites building is adjacent to the Caribbean Sea. This casual, family-friendly area offers a kids club, a lagoon-style pool with swim-up bar, a freeform pool, a saltwater swimming lagoon with beach, the casual Seaport Casino, and an open-air marketplace with 40 beach, the casual Seaport Casino, and an open-air marketplace with 40 shops, 15 restaurants and a multiplex movie theater. In addition, the Ocean Suites section has a conference center and an oceanside path. Shuttle boats to the resort's private island stop for Ocean Suites guests at the marina. br>
Guestrooms. All nonsmoking guestrooms offer high-speed Internet access for a fee and cable television. Rooms extend onto patios or balconies. Rooms include coffeemakers. In-room safes are provided.
Expert Tip. Iguana Beach extends along one side of the resort's 40-acre private island and offers iguana feedings, water sports and a shallow lagoon. The island's adults-only Flamingo Beach features a deeper lagoon and allows topless sunbathing.
