"center of the city"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The hotel was very nice. Very close to Piccadilly station. all kinds of shopping and great areas to see. I had a great time just roaming the city. The only bad experience I had was that one evening at 3 in the morning the next room decided to have a gab fest for an hour. other than that I was very happy with my stay.....
"Great location"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
Room was very clean and comfortable. The location was great as we took the nearby Oxford Rd train station often. The breakfast was excellent.
"Very spacious"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The hotel/Aparthotel was huge. I was disappointed about being on the ground floor, but other than that it was very good. I would have appreciated the presence of UHT milk with the sachets of coffee. The kitchen was fully equipped with a cooker, microwave, kettle and fridge - could have happily fit four people in the room - which at the rate I paid a night would have been well cheap! The bathrooms were clean, plenty of towels and, importantly free wifi - although one does have to sign up to a website. One passcode per device, but relatively fast.
"Clean and efficent"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
Stayed here the night before flying out of Manchester airport. The hotel is very convenient to the airport being within an 8 minute drive. The beds were comfortable, the room clean the tv worked all was good. We ate at the restaurant for both dinner and breakfast and were pleasantly surprised at the level of quality and presentation. Dinner was reasonably priced for the quality of the food. The breakfast buffet well stocked and the waitstaff very attentive.

Everything was wonderful, but the room was very warm. No air flow. But other than that it was just fine.

"Could be better"
I've stayed in the Village Leeds a few times, and was expecting the same standard here. Unfortunately not quite. Some areas were a bit tired looking
"Restaurant"
The room was spot on for cleanlines and comfort. The Bar area was comfy and Bar food good. But was dissapointed with the quality of the Breakfast and the decor in the Restaurant was very outdated and furniture old and not even matching
"Village de vere"
Nice clean room with friendly staff, breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice

"Village at Liverpool"
Hotel jaded badly in need of upgrade. Dissappointing for a de Verr hotel. Bar area and food good. Leisure facilities good but cleanliness needed attention too. Convievient location
hotel ok but we decided to eat in at the Vibes resturant. We are non meat eaters and struggled with the very limited joice. The meal was expensive ( my coffee at the end was £3.25) ,and overpriced.
"Skip Breakfast!!!"
Have stayed here now about 10times , hotel rooms need upgrading now , dinner has improved and service was good but as always breakfast is a waste of time , cooked breakfast all dried up , tables not cleared , not enough staff . have booed suites hotel for next visit , what i will miss is the pool and gym that is excellent
"The Village"
This was the second time we had stayed at the Village in the last few months. The staff were excellent and the room was clean and comfortable. The Village will definitely be our hotel of choice when visiting Liverpool in the future. Thank you to all who work so hard to make our stay enjoyable.
Stayed two nights with meal included on the first night. Expected to eat in the resturant but because it was fully booked had to eat in the bar area. Food was good but very noisey. Having booked room in advance I would have expected for a table to be made available in the resturant,
"comfortable hotel"
stayed here for three nights in dec 2011,room comfortable, gym and spa facilites brillant ,food let the hotel down my evening meals and breakfast were of a very poor standard, good chinese restaurant just down the road
"Tidy at the price we paid!"
Convenient location and easy to find when arriving from Manchester direction. 15 minute walk to Whiston station then direct to Liverpool for £3 return. Free parking at station. Trains every 20 minutes. Hotel needs updating, but comfortable, reception staff helpful. Avoid eating in the bar, very overpriced and average bar food, service average to match. […] Hotel price paid online including brekky was good. Read more
"De Vere VILLAGE Hotel Liverpool"
We stayed one night, excellent large swimming pool - nice and warm! Good full English breakfast, no complaints!
"Needs Refurbishment"
I have stayed in many Village hotels and usually they are fine. Although they all suffer from the same sub standard breakfast - food is pre cooked and left to go half cold on the buffet. The room was basic but clean, but too much external noise; loud music an drandon knocking/banging which occured at irregular intervals until about 3am in the morning. Reception […] area and restaurant is decorated fine and looks ok. As soon as you walk through the door to the bedrooms the decor is tired and old. Read more
"Village Liverpool - Recommended"
Very nice hotel, with all the usual facilities of a business class hotel. Very nice leisure with the biggest and warmest hotel pool. Breakfast was busy with full restaurant but they coped quite well so no complaints there. Shame they didn't show the rugby on a big screen (it was early morning though - sure they would evenings in the pub part)
"Very disappointed"
For a hotel that costs so much to stay I was extremely disappointed. Our room was very close to reception, we hadn't got to bed until 2am after attending a wedding. At 6am there was shouting and screaming from a room closer to reception than ours. Nobody stopped this, even after a phone call to reception. We finally got up at 8am and had a shower only […] for it to leak all over the bathroom and flood it! Other people we spoke to at breakfast had had exactly the same issues with the shower. At check out we did not get asked how our stay was, we were greeted with 'thanks, that's everything' not even a goodbyre or have a nice day. If we had been asked if we'd enjoyed our stay then I would have told them I have had a better night's sleep in a budget hotel! Read more
"Good choice for our needs"
We stayed for just one night as we were visiting family locally, so spent very little time at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was lovely. The disappointment for us was the cleanliness of the bathroom, which was poor.

"Village Liverpool - OK for 1 night"
Stayed here for 1 night on business. Great welcome, staff are very helpful. Hotel itself is nice, room feels a little worn out and had a slightly unpleasant musty/damp smell. Was fine for 1 night, but I wouldn't use it as a base for a break. Breakfast was awful, easily the worst I've had in some time, with dried out food - wasn't even as if they were […] busy. However, it is good value for money, and the location is very convenient, right next to motorway (but I didn't hear any noise at all). Read more

Lovely breakfast.
"The Village hotel, Liverpool"
Well run, friendly hotel with large rooms and good eating and drinking facilities. Meals are tastey and good value - especially the early bird menu.
"VILLAGE HOTEL LIVERPOOL"
I HAD A STANDARD DOUBLE FOR MY COUSIN'S WEDDING ON 25/6/10. THE ROOM WAS VERY LARGE AND THE BED WAS SO BIG AND COMFORTABLE. THE SHOWER WAS NICE AND POWERFUL AND THE ROOM HAD ALL I NEEDED FOR MY STAY. I HAD A SITTING AREA, BED, TEA/COFFEE SIDE TABLE, CUPBOARD AND A BATHROOM. COULD NOT REALLY FAULT THE ROOM ONLY THING WAS A FEW BLACK MARKS ON MY TOILET […] BUT THAT WAS SCUFFS NOT DIRT. THE HOTEL BAR WAS VERY EXPENSIVE - HOWEVER, I THINK FOR THE AREA I WAS IN IT WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY EXPENSIVE (I HAVE BEEN TOLD AS I AM FROM SCOTLAND). FRIENDLY STAFF AND I DID NOT HAVE ANY BOTHER. BREAKFAST WAS LOVELY - THERE IS A SELECTION OF FRIED FOOD, CEREALS, TOAST AND FRUIT/PASTRIES. WOULD RECOMMEND. Read more
"Basis business hotel"
Room was basic and clean. Little storage. The cupboard was an angled corner of the room, with little room, which meant the hangers would not hang straight (i.e. at about 45 degrees). No shelving for clothes. It was cold in the room. Although there double glazing it doesn’t close properly, so you get a constant draft. Had to turn on the heated radiators […] to max! Bathroom was fine, although the screen did let water leak through, so the floor was half wet after a shower! Read more
