The hotel was easy to find but smelled very musty when we entered. In addition, when we checked in, the computers were down (or something) and couldn't quite figure out from desk person what we needed to do. Then we asked about places to eat and we tried to follow his directions and found nothing after walking different directions for about 45 minutes. Ended up coming back to hotel and eating at restaurant on site. The hotel desk person was just very difficult to understand

The hotel staff was very nice. Our room rug was not vacuumed well, if at all. The room was very dated and is in desperate need of some upgrades. My main issue was that the shower did not drain properly, which meant that we were standing in dirty water to shower. The room did have a working refrigerator and microwave.

Pillows are not standard size(very small) I asked for extra blanket and pillows, and it took 30minutes to get them. Bed was very hard. Air conditioner in our room barely worked. Tried to lower the temperature but it made no difference. No ice machine on each floor. Breakfast room was VERY hot. Vents in the breakfast room were filthy. Bottom line, glad I was only staying 1 night. Would have looked for another place if I had to stay longer.

I wasn't sure what to expect from the reviews, but this was a very nice hotel. We would not hesitate to stay there again. It was near several good restaurants and was very quiet at night, with good beds. The breakfast was much better than many hotel breakfasts: it was well attended (food constantly refreshed and not messy) and offered premium condiments as well - half & half, good syrup, real butter pats, etc. Our only concern was that the pillows were quite small.

The door lock was broken. The toilet lever was broken. Much of the workout room machines were broken. The "non-smoking" room stunk of smoke. They took away the breakfast 10 minutes before the close, thereby making it so that my family could not get the "free" breakfast.

We booked almost last minute through Expedia your hotel because it was close to where family just moved, Clarion reputation, and offered 2 queen beds. Upon arrival, our room was given away and we were offered 1 king, 1 sleep sofa. The sofa was horrible, the bed great. In the morning we discovered a flood in bathroom resulting from water coming from ceiling. The fan sprayed the water all around. We could not use the bathroom. I notified staff who claimed perhaps the water was from a bath above overflowing (YIKES!) and offered to put us in another room, but we were leaving so I just left notes in the bathroom where the water was seen. He said the hotel manager, would contact us. Manager has not and I am writing 4 days after stay. Breakfast was nice, but chairs were filthy to sit on. There were no chairs to sit on outside courtyard. Too bad because the courtyard was pretty. The experience left me sad because with just a few upgrades, ( plumbing, better sofa mattress, rug in lobby, chairs in breakfast & courtyard area), it would have been okay. Not having the manager contact me even when I gave his staff my email is really poor customer service of him, as I believe he got the message. I had hoped to find a hotel close to my family to continue to come and easily visit, but unless I am told something different, I will assume that the hotel problems remain unchanged and I'd be crazy to put us in a room again where we are sprayed with dirty water.

Upon arrival, we learned that the elevator was broken. The hallways were not air conditioned; our air conditioner didn't work consistently. There was a smell of food cooking in the hallways. The coffee maker was missing parts. Staff seemed unconcerned about writing down the needed repairs when I reported them upon checkout.

Decent hotel for the price. Older, well maintained for it's age but it is an older hotel. I was on the first floor and anytime someone on the 2nd floor walked around it sounded like a they would come crashing through the floor. Woke me up at 2:00 in the morning the first night. Very noisy, paper thin walls and ceilings. Pool was okay, clean and all, but the surroundings really need to be updated.

The staff was very helpful, kind and accommodating. They were on point and professional. The room was clean, the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The breakfast consisted of fresh waffles you make for yourself, bagels, cereals, coffee, muffins- it was a nice variety. The pool was enjoyable and the area was quiet and relaxing.

In the morning about 530am, some dory knocked the door continuously. We did not dare to open the door. Then almost every room was knocked one room by one room. Then at 610am, the door was knocked again. I called the front desk and they said they would check. In the morning when I checked whoever on the frontdeck and they did not know this. No communication among themselves and between customers. No explication. This us horrible. My night was totally ruined. I drove the next day and almost got an accident due to the lack of sleep. Very bad experience in this hotel.

Nice Helpful welcome. Room was simple, bit dated but clean and great power shower. Low ceiling in 1st floor rooms. Simple breakfast but ok. Attendant was moor like doorman. Sitting on a chair and directing guests. Odd. If you want affordable and a good bed. This is a good choice.

Booked the room months ago. Princeton U commencement. Room was dirty, smelled like smoke. Tub drain did not work. Explanation from desk at check out was that due to the demand they opened rooms they do not ordinarily use. they offered a 50% discount/refund through Expedia. Hope it comes. Or else Expedia is off my list as well as Clarion.

Upon entering the lobby, the elevator and the halls there was very strong moldy smell- most unpleasant. Fortunately the rooms were clean and without that smell. The breakfast room was adequate but the set up was awkward and as such, one person at a time could get to what they needed- be it yogurt, hot food, cereal - caused unnecessary waiting. The halls are not clearly marked with directions to access rooms, made for a long unnecessary walk around the building, with very dim lighting. The attached Pure restaurant and lounge, had some interesting decor. We had a few drinks, no food, but the bar tenders were friendly and attentive, which was greatly appreciated.

Location was very convenient. Breakfast only started at 7 am which was later than expected since we had to be on the road before 7:15 am, however the blueberry muffins rocked! Bathroom did not have an exhaust fan which is eventually going to cause maintenance problems. Front desk staff was very polite and extremely helpful. Outdoor pool obviously was closed since we were there in May, but the courtyard & pool area was very nice. Not sure if we would stay there again since it was further than we expected from Six Flags, but it was easy to get there.

Staff was very accommodating. Room was very good for an economy hotel. Kuerig coffee machine inside the room was an excellent addition. Couldn't have asked for more out of a free continental breakfast (scrambled eggs, bagels, sausage, make your own waffles, muffins, fruit, cereal, etc). Lots of restaurants and essential stores nearby. Overall, a great experience and the price was much more appealing than others in the area. I would definitely use this hotel if I ever have to stay in the Princeton area again.

The room was tastefully decorated. Bed was very comfortable. Room was cold when we checked in but heat warmed the room quickly when we turned it on. (note: I really think they should have had the heater on prior to our arrival) After visiting and shopping at nearby stores we went to the restaurant/lounge adjacent to the hotel called Pure. It has a high end feel but was not pompous. We had drinks and appetizers. All were great. Nice setting.

Broken window in room - very dingy- halls are dark, doors are not safe. Tiles in bathroom cracked. Hair dryer did not work. Cleaniness of room was good. Would not stary there again, I was on business and paying for the room myself. I was horrible. Gentlemen checking in very nice.

Stayed in two different rooms on two different occasions (week to week for work) Very clean rooms, maid service is thorough and trustworthy. Room was cleaned and sheets changed daily, maid did move items, and tried to make sundries neat and arranged as if you were at home on the counter. Not one dime was missing out of my habit of tossing change on the counter, although you could tell it was moved for cleaning. The rooms are 50/50 on what you get. My first stay had a keurig machine and a broken sink handle and a bad seal on the bottom of the door so you could feel a draft from the outside. The second room has a coffee pot and a very poorly functioning shower, very low pressure at the showerhead because the faucet diverter is faulty. However, both rooms had very comfortable beds, several pillows of different firmness, clean linens. Staff is friendly and thorough, breakfast buffet is what you have come to expect at a mid level hotel. Hot (yet not wet) scrambled eggs, waffle maker, bagels, toast, muffins, juice and coffee. All in all if you are visiting Princeton and don't want to pay Princeton prices for a mid level hotel, this is the place to stay.

We stayed here for one night in August, 2013. Due to the divided roadway and medians, driving around the area for dinner was a little bit challenging. The rooms were adequate. Nothing special. Our room faced the pool and I was concerned that since we would not have an internal hallway that it might be noisy, but it was not. We woke in the morning and saw someone cleaning the pool. The swimming pool bottom was dirty with green algae. Breakfast was the standard continental breakfast that no one really wants to eat.

None of the gym equipment worked, first room i went to stonked, seond room had a heat issue but i managed. location was good though
