Extremely nice with highly updated rooms. We had a slight miscommunicaton where the evening clerrk told us that breakfast was included but at checkout time they wanted to charge us. After explaining the situation, they charged us half price which was fair and acceptable by us. We hiigly recommend this hotel.

From the train platform to the hotel is less than a 10 minute walk. Our room (5th floor) overlooked the train station but we couldn't hear a thing even with the window open! It's an old hotel but well maintained and very quiet. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They included a free local transportation pass for the duration of our stay - 4 nights. We didn't use the breakfast service but others told us it was very good and worth the price. All-in-all, if we were to visit Wuppertal again we'd stay at Hotel Astor .

Good value, clean room, although a bit small for 2 adults and 2 kids. The only real downside: Our room had no air condition and it was really hot when we stayed at this hotel. We ended up opening the window at night, but the traffic was very noisy.

I give it a three star for the cleanliness of the room and kindness of the staff. But overall the hotel is in a quaint neighborhood with not much to do in the area, other than it is close to the arena. It is not very updated. In fact, the entire week I was there, they were doing renovations on the floor I was staying, which resulted in loud drilling […] noises that woke us up around 8:30 am everyday and proceeded throughout the day. And our room was close to the highway and the noise of the cars was very loud at night. The food was good but the menu, limited.The gym was comical to say the least. Sofern eine Person schon mit der Morgentoilette beschäftigt ist, kann der andere nicht mehr in Ruhe seinen Schlaf genießen. Von der Optik her sieht es aber auch sehr schick aus und das Zimmer war supersauber. Das Frühstück war der einzige wirkliche Kritikpunkt. Das Hotel liegt 3 U-Bahn Stationen von der Stadtmitte entfernt und gerade mal 15 Minuten von der Westfalenhalle entfernt. Der Servic war gut. Das Zimmer war ruhig.

Für uns ist das Steigenberger in Dortmund keine Aderesse mehr, wir kennen -Steigenberger- aus Hamburg und dachten in Dortmund wäre es ebenso schön. Das Hotel ist in die Jahre gekommen, Es sieht in Zimmer 205 alt,dunkel und in allen Ecken stehr staubig aus. Die Lamellentüren haben schon lange keine pflegende Hand gesehen, von den Staubrändern an den […] Leisten nicht geredet. Die Dusche ist aus den 70 er Jahren. Nur der Servisce beim Frühstück war sehr,sehr nett. An der Bar waren wir nicht, ergo keine Meinung. Der Empfang war auch nett. Vielleicht sind wir aus Hamburg sehr verwöhnt, aber unserer Meinung nach hat des Hotel unbedingt eine Grundrenovierung nötig. Lobi, Bar und Restasurante laden nicht unbedingt zum Verweilen ein. Die Zimmer waren sauber und freundlich eingerichtet. Wir hatten ein Zimmer zur Innenhofseite, welches auch sehr ruhig war. Die Fenster lassen sich nur kippen und nicht ganz öffnen. Wir haben nicht gefrühstückt, so kann ich hier kein Urteil abgeben.

Den eneste mulighed for internetopkobling på hotellet var via telefonen og opkaldsforbindelse. Dette er der mange computere der i dag ikke har som standard da det er håbløst umoderne. Det ville klæde et 4 stjernet hotel som Steigenberger hotel at have gratis trådløst internet tilgængeligt.
