"Great Location: Next to the Acropolis"
My family liked this place a lot. Everything was as ggod or even better than their description. The best part was the location and a very nice breakfast, offering great choices for every taste. The staff was respectful of their guests and responsive to their needs.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"a Cool choice for traveler"
This is a great hotel if you are traveling to see the key landmarks, it is within walking distance to Acropolis and several others, walking to restaurants and markets. The hotel staff are very helpful all the time. We walked to most places that we want to visit. It's very close to the train station,( several streets), you can take the train from the […] airport the here and walk to the hotel, do even need a taxi. The fruit stand at the train station is cool, we bought grapes and peach from there and they are very good. There are many markets along the street. lots of restaurants, if sometime you feel need a quick snack, you can get a Gyro for about 2 euros. If you like fish, so do the Greeks, you have to order some fish from the local restaurants, they are very good. Have some cash on hand, some only take cash. The hotel is older, can use a update to the room, but is very clean. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
"Great Value and Location in Athens"
My second stay at this hotel. It is terrific - clean, comfortable, helpful staff, tasty breakfast, and a great location. Highly recommended.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"excellent location by Acropolis"
We only ended up staying one night here to rest after our long flight, see the main sights of Athens, then go on to the islands so this was a GREAT location. Nothing fancy, but the convenience is worth it. It is 2 minutes from the metro station, 5 minute walk to nearly everything you want to see in Athens, and feels like a very safe neighborhood with […] tons of restaurants. It's off a small street so it wasn't noisy and the staff were very helpful with maps and knowing when things were open. The room was a normal sized european hotel room, but a decent sized bathroom with stand-up shower. We took an early ferry and checked out early, but the breakfast they were putting out looked very good and they even had coffee and pastries for us leaving so early. I'd definitely recommend this place for a quick stopover in Athens. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Near all sites"
The beds were comfortable. The ceiling of the bathroom had moisture spots. Needed to be repainted. The internet connect was great if your room was in front of the router. Free breakfast. Short walk to Acropolis and Patheon. Plaka area was nearby. Everything was within walking distance. The changing of the guard was on Sundays at 11:30.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Not what I expected."
The hotel staff was very accommodating with our late arrival. The name of the hotel has changed to Hotel Parthenon so the cab driver had difficulty finding it. The linens were frayed and rough and the room needed redecorating. We didn't have breakfact there so cannot comment.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"nice hotel in quiet side street"
The staff were helpful and friendly. Room was nice.decent bathroom. Loved the kettle and tea and coffee in room. Breakfast was adequate. Allowd us to store luggage. The internet worked wellGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great for tourists."
We only stayed the one night before our cruise. It was easy to get to from the airport on the Metro. The stop was close by and the neighborhood was very convenient to the ruins, cafes, restaurants, etc. The breakfast buffet was better than I expected--actually, quite good.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is 4 stars but their towels are for 1 star hotels. Our room in the bathroom shows a lot of black spots all over. Some from Wood frame, some around titles, around toilets etc. etc.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Typical European hotel"
Great location just 2 blocks from Acropolis & lots of good restaurants & shops nearby. Staff went out of their way to be helpful. Room OK and bathroom OK. But carpets plain and aging. Tiny elevators almost too small for large luggage. Only one hotel computer for internet access caused long waits at times. Complimentary breakfast OK, had some hot cooked […] items like eggs & breakfast meat, but not outstanding. However hotel staff went out of their way to encourage us to use the breakfast room for a continental breakfast before our 3:30 AM departure for an early flight back to USA. "Great location, breakfast and service"
I stayed here 2 nights one week apart recently. The hotel is in a great location, just steps from the Parthenon and the Plaka. Also, they have a phenomenal breakfast, which I unfortunately couldn't partake in the second night as I had an early flight. But the staff arrange for a continental breakfast for us before hand. The staff was helpful, courteous […] and knowledgeable. The wifii was fast enough. The rooms are functional and clean, but a little threadbare, especially the thin carpet. But for the price and the aforementioned amenities, it can' be beat. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

Don't count with the free wifi the quality is very poor. The Hotel is in a great location near everything touristic in Athens Is a Clean budget hotel, very good breakfast The staff is very helpfulGenuine Expedia guest review
Location couldn't be better. Simply perfect. The staff is very friendly, breakfast excellent. It is not a luxury hotel but works extremely well.Genuine Expedia guest review

Close to metro, Acropolis Museum, Plaka food and shopping, walk to Parthenon....AND excellent breakfast to start your day.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Aerotel Parthenon is in an amazing location to most of the Athenian ancient sites and Acropolis museum, with most being just a short walk away! The hotel staff was hospitable and willing to help with any questions and reservations for tours, car rentals, etc.. The rooms were cool even with 100F weather outside, but they are beginning to show some age. AC on top floor did not work very well during the 35-40 degree summer days...other then that everything was great! Nice breakfast spred. Location was fabulous!!!!Genuine Expedia guest review
Stayed July 1, 2012-July 7, 2012. Location is perfect. Within one black: Plaka district, the major pedestrian street surrounding the acropolis, Akcropoli metro stop, Hadrian's arch, temple of Olympian Zeus. Short walk, 5 min: acropolis, the new acropolis museum and areopagus hill. 10 min: district of Thissio, the agora, Syntagma square, and several […] churches. Airhotel Parthenon was great for my needs. As a female solo traveller, I felt very safe in this neighborhood, even at night. The staff were also quite helpful with directions, etc., and interfaced with the airline when my checked bag did not arrive with me. The only thing I didn't like was the towels--they were worn, and the fabric softener smelled a bit like feet :) However, they were clean, and changed out each day. Good breakfast, and my room had a balcony which I used for drying clothes. I would stay here again, and have already recommened to a friend who visited Athens for a weekend shortly after my stay. Not fancy, but quite adequate! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Great except for horrible, horrible wifi"
The WiFi in our room (Room 202) was absolutely horrible--like, essentially nonfunctioning. Down in the lobby it was great, but in the room it was nearly worthless. These days that's just unacceptable. That's why I wouldn't recommend this hotel to a friend even though in every other respect the hotel was fine or better than fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great helpful staff. Convenient location."
Staff were amazingly helpful. Loved the location. Hated the beds and deficient air conditioning. Didn't sleep well. Otherwise great economical place to stay close to everything.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
The location is excellent for anything you want to do...Acropolis, the Acropolis museum, the plaka, etc...with the metro just around the corner. It is located on a quiet street but near establishments that are open late. We felt safe walking late at night enjoying the company of both tourists and locals. The staff at the desk were all very helpful and […] friendly. They are very knowledgable about Athens' sights, events and activities. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay here. "Location, location, location!"
With everything else about this particular hotel being average for Europe, it get's 5 stars from us for LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! It's right off the major tourist streets, a couple of blocks from the New Acropolis Museum, as well as being very handy to restaurants.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Good location bad accommodation"
Pros: Very close to the Acropolis and Parthenon Friendly staff Cons: The AC unit would never really cool the room, it would just circulate the air, opening the window at night time provided cooler air than the AC ever produced. The TV never worked during our 3 night stay there. The bathroom towels were old and needed replacing, they were thin, tattered, […] and some of them were torn; besides that they smelled awful. here was mold growing in the bathroom which was disappointing to see. The floors were sticky; would not recommend walking on them with your bare feet. The bed linings were thin and had stains on them ... disgusted at that. The second day we stayed there the water in the room stopped working for a few hours without notice from the staff. Elevators were small and cramped. Summary: Would not stay there again nor recommend the place to anybody else, in fact I would recommend staying away from this place. I don't know how this place got 4 stars but it was an awful experience. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Great place to start your Athens trip"
The hotel was a great place to start our trip. There were pleanty of places to eat - within a 5 minute walk, close to several major attractions and events, including the metro, Hop-on/Hop-off bus stations. Very pleased with the staff, they could not have been any nicer or more helpful. Would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Right in Plaka"
Great hotel. Second time to stay there. Good value. Somewhat disappointed in the maintenance & upkeep. But Greece has had a rough year ever all. Fabulous staff and awesome location. Will return again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"This is a great place!"
We would definitely go here again. And we would definitely recommend it. It is not a 5 star hotel, but we can't say enough about the great location and the staff. The room was clean and comfortable. Not extravagant, but very comfortable. The best part was the breakfast. We loved it. Full breakfast complete with new Greek pastries, hot eggs, casseroles, […] olives, cheese, meats, fruit. Really good. And the other fabulous thing was the location. We got off the Metro coming from the airport and it was literally just 100 yards around the corner. It's 20 yards from a great little touristy lane with restaurants, gelato stand, coffee shop. It's 100 yards from the East entrance to the Acropolis - we think that is the best entrance since it takes you up past the theaters. And it's 100 yards from Hadrian's gate and Zeus' temple the other way. And just behind the location is a fabulous area full of shops, restaurants, sidewalk cafes in typical and quaint Greek streets. Evenings were great just strolling up Dionysos Way listening to sidewalk musicians, and enjoying the view of the Parthenon. The Acropolis Museum was right there also. We can't say enough about the quality location, breakfast, and staff. Unless you are really wanting a fancy room this is the place. I am so glad we did not rent a car. Didn't need one and if you go here don't rent one. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"A great place to stay in Athens"
We reserved a room with four beds, but the available room when we checked in had only 3 beds. We slept 2 small children with one adult in the big bed. There was limited space for another bed. These accommodations were comfortable enough. Our experience here was totally wonderful - from the efficient, friendly staff to the clean, sunny new-ness of the […] entire hotel to the proximity to the sites. Airotel does a huge injustice to those who stay there. The hotel should've remodeled and updated its rooms about 20 years ago. Who puts bright orange blanks with stains all over them on the beds? Yuck!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"OK, BUT NOTHING SPECIAL"
Everything was "acceptable" to "acceptable plus", but only a moderate value for the price. Plusses - really good location close to south end of the Plaka, comfortable stay, no important negatives. Minuses - shabbiiness in some areas, bath towels were basically rags, out dated furnishings and dark forbidding room.Genuine Expedia guest review
THe staff were freindly and very willing to answer all questions. The location of the hotel was outstanding. would definitely stay there again.Genuine Expedia guest review

The air conditioning was out and people I spoke to that worKed there didn't seem to think it was there problem. One guy told me it was fixed and another one said that he was the night guy and couldn't do anything about it. Front reception staff was friendly and knowledgeable, they reliably booked our early morning taxi/van (4 am for 6am flight. ) Important since there were 4 of us with lots of luggage and all the taxis we saw were quite small. "A great find - walking distance to everything!"
We were very pleased with everything about our stay at the Parthenon and recommend it to any sightseer. We arrived late morning after leaving a cruise ship in Pireaus and were grateful to find that they were able to put us right into a room so that we could get unpacked and start our sightseeing. The desk staff spoke English very well (a relief for […] us!) and explained the set up, breakfast schedule, how to find our way around the area (pointing out directions on a map), access to the internet (wireless is free and there is a computer in the lobby with free access also). The two elevator cars worked promptly and quietly. The hotel is literally 2 blocks from the Acropolis, Acropolis museum, the Plaka, bus stops, Metro, banks and cafes. It is on a small street one block off the main boulevard so it was very quiet at night. The breakfast buffet was more than adequate, with multiple egg dishes, bacon and sausage, pastries, breads, cereals, juices and coffee or tea. The room furnishings are somewhat spartan but very comfortable and there was plenty of space in our room. The room had a safe and mini - frig stocked with bar items, and a flat screen TV with cable connection to programs in English. Check out was easy as we had prepaid through Hotels.com and we received helpful instructions to take the Metro to the airport. A terrific stay! Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Conveniently located and friendly staff"
The hotel is small as are the rooms, but it is very centrally located to the Acropolis which was a huge plus. The Hotel is certainly a little dated. However the location, location, location is marvelous. Close to all the important historic sites and metro. "Great hotel in an excellent location"
Very simple hotel in an absolutely fantastic location - few steps from Acropolis. You can walk everywhere from this place. Lots of restaurants and shopping options. Rooms are pretty basic but functional. Service is excellent as well as the free breakfast.Genuine Expedia guest review
This hotel is close to all the sights in Athens so after a day of trudging around the Acropolis it is easy to hop back to the hotel to freshen up for dinner. The breakfast buffet is excellent with many hot and cold choices of good food. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The room is small but not overly so when considering that European hotel rooms […] tend to be small. The walls are thin so we heard our partying neighbors come home very late but the street is not busy so no street noise. There is easy access to the hotel from the Akropoli metro stop and we took the metro in from the airport- very easy to do. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

Great location. Only few yards from Acropoli and the New Acropoli museum. BUT the Hotel is absolutly not a 4 star but much like a Motel. If you just want to crash and sleep and it is fine.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Rundown Hotel in a Great Location"
We could not believe that it was a 4-star hotel when we got into our room: it was tiny, with old worn blankets and bath towels which were mere rags (frayed fringes and thin). In addition, the sink stoppers did not work and there were missing hangers in closet and missing cup from a holder in bathroom. Even my husband, who is usually not picky at all […] about hotel conditions, remarked that it was a 2-star place. We know that Greece is going through some tough economic times, but letting a place run down to such condition is just sad. The redeeming aspect of the hotel is that it is only one block from the new Acropolis museum, the Placa, and the Temple of Zeus. The breakfast buffet was also sumpteous. The hotel also gave each room a gift of sweet bread for Easter. They did try hard in their own ways:) Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
