We arrived slightly later than planned because our GPS took us all over the countryside..a much faster route was available we found out the next day. We received a very friendly greeting even though we were so late and even were able to have a midnight snack delivered to our room with a couple of beers. It was very pleasant to awaken to birds chirping and we had a close-up view as a couple hopped along the top of the gutter outside our window. We received a couple if suggestions for touring nice sights and were on the road for the day. Upon our return about 9pm, we had coffee and ice delivered to our room for a late night beverage. The château is everything I had ever thought one should be including the location. It is off the beaten path but then then that added to the lovely experience!

Staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms more than adequate. We arrived on a Sunday and, understandably, the evening menu was limited; nevertheless the meal was excellent with adequate choices. Scenic in its own right and convenient to Giverny, well worth a stop.

The hotel was great but it was a little remote. You are almost 'stuck' there for dinner and breakfast. Getting downtown on a car is not recommended due to the spaghetti streets and total lack of parking. Take the #4 bus downtown at a Euro each way - you will be better off. The staff, particularly Sophie, was about as professional, and warm and friendly as you can get.

"Great location--if you can find it"
The hotel staff were great, gave good directions, and showed us clearly how to access the public parking behind the hotel. The hotel has no parking, but there was space to unload our bags. The hotel actually faces the Seine River, and our room had a lovely view of the river. It is very convenient for seeing the sites in Rouen, only a couple of blocks […] from the cathedral. "Not a nice part of Rouen"
I have now been told by many people that there aren't many decent places to stay in Rouen. Coeur de Rouen must be an example of this. We had problems even confirming our reservation. We arrived towards evening and the area seemed really sketchy (I know it is close to the Cathederal but that is not in the nicest part of Rouen. Room was small but clean. "Tiny Triple Room"
Stayed here last week for two nights in a triple room with a double bed and one single bed. "Coeur de City in Rouen - nice stay"
This hotel was conveniently located, about a 15-20 minute walk from the train station and then very close to the Cathedral and old town and everything we wanted to see. It looks a bit like a hipster hotel, with bold colors and new paint, but the guests seemed to be mainly older tourists so it was quiet. First, lets get the 2 minor complaints out of the way. 1. it's a bit difficult to find. The front of the hotel is not directly on street that the address is and the sign was very easy to miss. Its best to go to the street one block behind and park, then walk to the hotel. 2. Parking not available and depending upon when you get there, can be challenging […] to find. On the positive side, the room was very clean. It was plenty spacious for a triple size room. The very best were the unexpected treats that they provided. 1. a welcome aperitif 2. breakfast included. 3. sack lunch for day you leave. This was the ONLY hotel in a 3 week stay (comparable hotels) in France that had these extras included in the price. and this was one of the least expensive hotels we stayed in. Nice view of the cathedral and in city center. A bit hard to find if driving - parking is behind hotel in a city parking lot. Friendly, helpful staff who directed us when we were almost there but couldn't find the hotel. Clean and freshly painted and decorated in red and white. Nice flat screen TV. The hotel needs to make its external name signs larger or more noticeable as I had some problem when I arrived there at night in the dark. The hotel was easy to find. Reception was polite. The decor is a bit out of date and tired, but fine for the price. In the room 1 bedside light was broken and the shower was tiny and leaked onto the floor. Easy to find, excellent English spoken by the staff, room was neat and clean. Recently refurbished I believe. Wifi worked in room on 5th floor no problem. Breakfast was fresh and good quality. The hotel is smack bang in the middle of Rouen ... within short walking distance to everything you would want to see. From reading previous reviews we knew this hotel would be difficult to find and it is tucked away next to another building at the beginning of Rue de la Republic on the left hand side as you stand with your back to the Seine. Hotel staff were very helpful and we parked for E9 for 24 hours at a car park behind the hotel (take the 1st turning on the left […] as you go up Rue de la Republic). Hotel was very pleasant and the location was good for the cathedral and main shopping avenue. There is a cinema on the Rue de la Republic - large theatre with comfortable seats -where we saw a film in English with French subtitles. Breakfast was included in the hotel rate and was more than adequate. We didn't take the packed lunch but it was offered to us. We were on our way to Calais and Rouen was not too far to travel on from. We would recommend the hotel but having being to Rouen once would not particularly go again. Malgré le service agréable, l'hôtel est très mal signalisé et quasiment introuvable ! Les chambres sont mal insonorisées mais relativement propres. En réservant sur votre site internet une chambre à Hôtel Rouen Cathédrale nous pensions séjourner à l'hôtel de la Cathédrale qui qui nous avait été conseillé. Erreur comme d'autres personnes d'ailleurs, nous nous retrouvons dans l'ancien hôtel de Bordeaux repris par la chaîne "Coeur de City" et utilisant le nom commercial "Hôtel Rouen Cathédrale", ce […] qui entretient la confusion.
