Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel, Helsinki - Helsinki 60.17252, 24.94507

The journey from the airport on the 615 Bus route took only 40 minutes. The hotel is very well situated, being quite near the terminus for buses and trains to the city. It is adjacent to one of the city’s large squares is less than 5 minutes’ walk from the main shopping area and the many tram routes that run past the main station. There are a large number of bars and faux pubs in the vicinity, as well as restaurants of all kinds. A friend saw a review of the hotel which suggested it was tired and worn. Though I could detect some sign of this, it was not obvious. My room was modern and comfortable, though I found the bed a little soft. The en-suite facilities were very clean and comfortable. The hotel staff was friendly and efficient and all spoke English. Breakfast consisted of a buffet of the usual cereal, cold selections and cooked breakfast. The hotel has a sauna (separate for men and women), which is available at no extra charge to guests. Towels are provided. The city has a number of local markets and we walked to the one at Kauppatori ‎ on Saturday from the hotel (about 20 minutes stroll). A number of stalls were selling fish fresh from the many boats there. Other stalls sold local woollen articles and the produce of crafts. We had a very pleasant stay, particularly as the location was perfect for getting around both on foot and by public transport. I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel.

This is a very nice hotel. One block from the rail station, which is the area of the Finnair bus station also. Great breakfast in a beautiful dining room. An older hotel and more of a classic construction. A couple of blocks to downtown.

The location of this hotel is great, nice rooms. Near the train and bus terminals for easy access to anywhere including the airport.

We had to book unexpectedly at the "last minute" and selected this hotel primarily by cost. The room was very nice as was the entire hotel. Staff very helpful too. Biggest plus was the huge breakfast buffet....endless selections! Our only disappointment was that the surrounding shops closed at 6p on Saturday, so there was not much to do within walking distance with exception of restaurants. We will definitely stay there again when flying via Helsinki.

This hotel is just off the big city square in front of the rail station but it is on a corner of a dead end street and very quiet. The location is fantastic! We walked to the harbor and all the main sites. The staff was very helpful with maps, good time estimates to get to places, and always smiling. Breakfast was beyond terrific and the dining area wonderful! Helsinki is expensive and this was a great deal.

The Radisson Blu is conveniently located near the Central Rail Station, Visitor's Center and sightseeing tours. Their buffet breakfast is one of the best. I'd recommend the Blu to everyone.

We were very happy with our hotel choice. It is the first time I had stayed at the Radisson Hotel and found it very comfortable. The bed and pillows were extremely soft and I slept well. The bathroom was large and modern. I would recommend it to anyone. The hotel was a 4 star and I found the price very reasonable.

Great room for the money. Very helpful front desk and housekeeping staff.

This place is deserving of at least 4.5 stars; it's right smack in the middle of the city center, literally a 30 second walk to Helsinki Central Station. It's an exquisite historical building, but the rooms are luxurious and extremely modern. The staff is very - almost unnecessarily - friendly and helpful. Given the prime location, the exceptional comfort, luxury, and service - as well as how expensive the rest of the city is - I can't believe how relatively cheap it was. I'd recommend this to anyone; there's no reason to even bother looking at other hotels if this place has vacancy.

We were looking for a clean, reasonable priced room for two nights. The Radisson was downtown, easily walkable to the main sites and the main shopping streets. We did not visit the sauna, however we did try, and they ran out of towels. Room was clean, beds were comfortable, breakfast was quite big, and everyone at the reception was more than helpful. The only problem was the prices of everything in the area (restaurants, bars, etc). Coming on US$, 15 euros+ for a plate seems ridiculous for food, but you can always catch a street car to another district and get a cheaper meal like we ended up doing.

Friendly personnel, warm check-in and service, good rooms, nice breakfast with good selection of food, free wi-fi Internet in the room, very close to the railway station - don't look more, it is here.

Essen ist ja immer sehr wichtig - neben allen anderen Vorzügen wie sehr guter Lage, Sauberkeit etc., die sicherlich an anderer Stelle schon ausführlich beschrieben wurden - sei also hier vor allem das sehr gute Frühstücksbuffet erwähnt, was wirklich kaum Wünsche offen gelassen hat. Da war wirklich für jeden was dabei! Insgesamt ist das Hotel für einen Helsinki-Trip also absolut zu empfehlen - wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt!

Bra, rent og fint hotell. God frokost, sentral beliggenhet i forhold til casino/uteliv. Eneste de kunne ha kostet på seg var en bar i saunaen ;)

Rommets bad/dusj var ikke i tipp topp stand.

I sentrum av byen, stille, veldig rent, nok plass for klær og bagasjen på rommet. Hotellet finnes ved siden av airportbus og jernbarnstasjon - meget bekvemt.

God morgenmad og service, men værelser var ikke rene og hotellets inventar er slidt. Vores vindue var ved at falde ud. Beliggenheden er fin og der er meget roligt om natten

Jag, min son och min mamma, bokade in oss på Radisson Blu Plaza pga det mycket låga priset för 2 nätter. Rummet var välstädat och hade ett mycket fint badrum.Det var också väldigt lugnt och tyst. Fantastisk frukostbuffe. Sist men inte minst mycket vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Vi behövde inte heller betala extra för barnsängen vi beställde extra. Jag rekommenderar verkligen Radisson Blu Plaza för den som vill ha bästa bekvämlighet och trivsel i Helsingfors!!!

L'hôtel est situé à deux pas de la gare centrale où arrivent de nombreux bus (dont celui de l'aéroport), les trains vers le nord; d'un parc, du centre ville et de la gare routière. Le petit déjeuner est un buffet complet auquel il ne manque absolument rien. L'accueil est correct et petit plus un sauna est accessible. De plus il y a la possibilité de louer des vélos et deux postes internet sont disponibles (le débit n'est pas très rapide, mais bien pratique pour trouver facilement une information).

Hotellet var meget bra og har en sentral beliggenhet i sentrum av byen. Frokosten var utsøkt. Det må presiseres at gratis internett gjelder for tilkobling av medbrakt laptop og ikke internett på TV, den koster 7 auro i døgnet

Hotelværelset trængte i høj grad til modanisering. Det var første gang jeg bode på et SAS radison hotel og jeg blev meget skuffet. Jeg derfor undgå at skulle overnatte på hoteller i denne kæde freadrettet

Dusjene var alt for lave.Måtte bøye knea for og komme under vannstrålen og jeg er ikke høyere enn 184 cm
