The hotel was completely adequate for our two night stay. We had a slightly hard time finding it as the hotel is on a primarily pedestrian side street, and despite the lack of cars there was quite a bit of noise from the street audible through the windows (Fri and Sat nights), as well as noise from the room upstairs. There is no carpet in the room (cleaner, […] more modern look) so it is possible to hear some footsteps. Not a huge problem but could bother light sleepers. Bathroom was slightly dated and although it had been cleaned there were still a few hairs floating around. There is a shower head in the tub but it's hand held, which would not be my first choice. The staff were nice and gave us a great rec for a restaurant we at at twice. Breakfast was a fairly standard continental style, pleasant but hard to get seconds on coffee. I would be willing to stay at this hotel again, though I wasn't amazed and would consider other options too. Read more

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms was very clean and the size was reasonable (not large but not so small that you are tripping over everything). Hard to fault this hotel. Lovely modern rooms in a great old building. Right in the centre (some noise on a Saturday night) and friendly helpful staff. Only drawbacks: breakfast very expensive (we went to a cafe instead) and parking not cheap.

The location of the hotel is good. The Grand Rue is right beside which would lead one to the Petite France and the Cathedral which are famous sights. The hotel was very good. Staff were very helpful and we were able to practice our limited French! We were provided with a kettle and tea , coffee and milk so we could make a drink. The room was very warm and comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble. We would definitely return.

It was a little confusing to have to ASK for the tea / coffee facility. We enjoyed our stay very much despite apart from the noise from the street which went on into the early hours of the morning. Not the fault of the hotel.

Orsaken är, utöver att hygien och standard var bra, att det hade en personlig touch med sitt uråldriga träinnertak och väggar kombinerat med moderna tillägg som möblering. Litet men jättemysigt, vi hade rum högst upp mot en gränd med charmig utsikt mot takåsar och himmel. Däremot […] undrar jag om ljus-designer inte finns på "europa-kontinenten", alla dessa blåaktiga ljuskällor i alla lampor, smaklöst i dessa gamla vackra miljöer!!! Det finns faktiskt "varmvita" lågenergilampor också! To the hotell: It would be very nice if you changed all your cold, "blue-ish" low energy lightbulbs, to same low energy lightbulbs whith "warm-white" shine/light, more cosy and welcoming feeling (same price). Das Hotel liegt zentral, ist also ideal zur Erkundung der Innenstadt geeignet, allerdings sind die Zimmer zur Straße relativ laut, Schlafen ist nur bei geschlossenem Fenster möglich, im November aber kein Problem. Das Standardzimmer ist relativ klein, Platz für das Gepäck kaum vorhanden, das Bad ist noch enger. Das Personal am Empfang ist sehr freundlich […] und hilfsbereit, gerne auch auf deutsch. Das Frühstücksbuffet war übersichtlich, aber man wurde satt. Dass man im Käseland Nummer 1 nur Emmentaler und Standard-Brie bekommt ist leider sehr schade, aber leider ein Manko in vielen Hotels. Das Auto hatten wir während unseres Aufenthalts im Parkhaus Kleber geparkt, welches in 5 Minuten zu erreichen ist. Kosten 23 Euro für 2 Tage. Read more
