I didn't expect much. It was a 1/2 way stop on our trip and we just needed a place to sleep for the night. The Micro is right, everything is on the small side but everything is very nice. The staff could not have been more friendly or helpful and the rooms seem to be newly updated. The hallways and lobby smelled of smoke but once in your room there was no smell at all. I couldn't believe it was so nice for the price I paid. Will stay again.

We were looking for a place to sleep overnight after arriving late to the Cincinnati airport. This hotel offered free airport shuttle service at midnight - something I did not find at other hotels at this price range. The breakfast was fine (hard-boiled eggs, pastries, cereal). I was happy to have my hotels.com receipt as the hotel did not realize I had already paid (both at check-in & again at check-out).

Also it was the first hotel I have been to that when there was something that was not done when they cleaned your room they actually left you a note saying why which was nice seeing how sometimes you have no clue why they do not do certain things. It was also located a mile from Wal-Mart, the mall, and a bunch of nice restaurants, and was only ten minutes away from Cincinnati.

When the staff read my card # to me it wasn't even my card. After stating I had already pre-paid for the room she said they've had problems with hotels.com not giving the information promptly. The problem was resolved by the Microtel... they just re-billed hotels.com. Other than that very minor issue the room was very clean and the staff was friendly. Excellent room for an overnight stay.

After a lengthy re-try, we were then directed to a suite that was not cleaned and ready for us. After another 45 minutes, we then were able to move into our room. But all in all, it took us a couple hours to get in. We then were satisfied with our stay.

Our "non-smoking" room smelled of a very strong room freshener when we walked in. It appeared to be coming from the AC and it was so overpowering that we had to open a window. When asked about it, we were told that all the rooms were like that. We found out when we got home that this was clearly NOT a non-smomking room. My husband's bi-pap machine still smells of smoke and all of our clothing smelled of smoke. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper. There was no hairdryer, although the empty holder was there and the front desk said they couldn't find one for me. There was no shampoo. The hotel was a great disappointment and we would not recommend it to anyone.

Where do I start. The rooms were outdated in style and the carpet was so dark with dirt that it looked like it had been there for at least 20 years or so. The doors are extremly retractable(the slam close)with a strong force and you would think the noise in the hallway would be null and void. Not only does your door slam automatacly but so does everyone on the entire floor door so if your trying to sleep you may want to wait until around 2am with the morning slam door session starting at around 6am. I almost forgot the sewer smell coming from the sink faucet enough to make you gag. Finally the bathroom walls are so thin that you would think someone is in you room encluding talking and bathroom usage noise. This hotel need to move into the this centry with how doors, carpet, bathrooms are suppose to be made a little thicker walls would help a lot.

My wife and I stayed at the Microtel Inn for 2 nights on our way to Nashville. The room was very small. There was barely enough room to walk on the each side of the bed. The bathroom wasn't very big either but sufficed. One reason I picked this hotel was beacuse of free golf adjacent. Simply go to the desk and get your free passes. The course is a par 3 but the front nine is extremely hilly and I recommend a cart. The course was in poor condition. It has been very dry in the area and lots of the fairways and all other spots other than the greens were hardpan. The "rough" was straw colored and hard as a rock. The greens were not in great shape either. I was glad it was free, but I had to pay for the cart. Beware of the 'dry' creek bed, I stepped down to retrieve an errant shot and sunk knee dep in mud and had to shower and clean up in our romm before resuming my round. My lower legs were covered and I had to throw away my glof shoes. Beware! I would stick to the putt putt ot the driving range. But back to the hotel, cable service is like all other hotels and free computer use with internet in a room by the lobby. The breakfast was not good. No fresh fruit, cold crereal or yougurt. There were biscuits and gravy and hard boiled eggs on Sunday, but they both were not tasty. They had some juice and oatmeal, but we were disappointed in the choices. The hotel staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean. It is right by the airport. Lots of shopping and restaurants nearby. If you need a room for a layover this might be for you but most others I am not so sure. We wouldn't stay again, but the price was cheap and you get what you pay for.

The complimentary golf next door was very nice, and we are thinking about going back just so we can take more advantage of that. It is free mini-golf, driving range, and 18 hole golf course. It was an enjoyable stay with no problems.
