"close to sights/shopping"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
We loved it - great location, staff and breakfast. Lovely, large second floor room.
"Nice Place"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Hotel was clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was free in the lobby. It was a short walk from where the airport bus dropped us off and shopping/restaurants. Most of the tourist spots are a bit farther, but still very walkable.
"Good Value"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 5, 2012
The Ardmore is a clean, modern hotel that has power showers and staff that are friendly. The food served is well prepared and affordable. For the money it can't be beat, but if you want nice pillows, soft towels& cozy bedding then you should spend the extra money to get them. Those of us who prefer value over the little "extras" would love this hotel. The 15 minute bus ride into downtown wasn't bad unless you JUST missed the bus and have to wait another twenty minutes to get on. It is a great location for a first night into Dublin or your last because it is only 15 minutes to the airport!
"Wonderful hotel"Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 4, 2012
The westbury is a great hotel, very clean and comfortable. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they bent over backwards to make sure we were happy. I absolutely recommend this hotel to anyone looking to travel to Dublin soon!

"Citywest, Dublin -- like something from a dream"
The scenery and the facilities are something most people only dream about. One has to see to believe, and once you do, you hope the stay lasts longer. The hotel is located in its own space of Paradise in the countryside and rolling hills of Ireland you mostly see in tourbooks. You look out your window or the front entrance, and every view is like a […] postcard vista. It is far enough out of the large, bustling city to enjoy a little piece of Heaven in the solitude and beauty but conveniently right beside the last stop to the extensive, tram line right into the heart of all the action. There is always a reasonably priced way to get a direct transport into the heart of downtown Dublin and a very scenic preview of the unbelievable scapes of what beautiful Ireland is famous for. The staff was immense, and the courtesy and attentiveness was amazing. The breakfast was massive and very satisfying (quality and quantity-wise). The included health-spa with pool, jacuzzi, and sauna was extremely relaxing, immaculately clean, and a very enjoyable accomodation. I would definitely visit again and wish I had never had to leave to begin with. Read more
"Great Hotel Great Staff"
This is a great place to stay and the price is good. The golf course is beautiful. I would recommend this hotel if you are in the area. The cab fare to Dublin is a little high.
"Citywest Hotel - very nice"
The hotel and resort was very nice. Breakfast was exceptional and the price was outstanding- even in USD. Wireless internet was fast and easy to connect. Great stay.
"7-15 minutes drive to Dublin"
A bit of a drive if you plan to get tipsy. But the staff, atmosphere, and the mountains made up for it in my view.. let alone the 200+ acres of property, pool, etc. Worth the extra drive.
"Very Nice"
It is a good hotel excelent breakfast, clean.
"Highly recommended!"
It was a bit difficult to find but once there it was brilliant from start to finish..Room was extremely big and comfortable.Staff very pleasant indeed!!Downside our shower did not work properly but overall stay was brilliant!!
"Luxury ar a great price"
Very friendly staff and the Hotel very efficiently run I could not fault any aspect of it
"My stay at the City West Hotel"
The City West hotel is an excellent hotel set in beautiful countryside with excellent road links to Dublin and the rest of Ireland. It offers excellent value for money. The dining room where breakfast is beautifully furnished with excellent views over lawns. Breakfast is of a very high quality with plenty of choice. The rooms are beautifully furnished […] and the hotel is adorned with fine furnishings and pictures. There is a clearly displayed policy regarding no under 18s in the main bar after 9pm. However, the hotel would benefit from consistency in applying the policy. I was advised by the waitress that my daughter could not stay after 9pm. However, the bar area was full of much younger children, who did not appear to have been advised they could not stay there. The swimming pool is clean and a delight to swim in. No locks were available for the lockers for the first three days and valuables were at our risk! Our enjoyment of the pool was slightly impacted by an official ripping up a lane on the Thursday and telling me to go into the unlaned area. This was followed by a deafening aqua aerobics lesson. The pool receptioinist declined to put another lane in for the benefit of swimmers. Overall, the hotel and facilities were excellent and I would recommend it to anyone. Read more
"Not impressed"
Reception Staff friendly and helpfull, eating in the hotel expensive, damp smell in hallways, no heating in bathroom. Overall would not stay there again.

"will be going back again"
i stayed in this hotel for my sisters wedding and every thing was perfect from start to finish. the staff are lovely they couldnt do enough for us. the food was lovely the room were fantastic the only thingi could say bad about the hotel was that we ordered a somoking room and was givin a non smoking but apart from that the hotel was great including […] the grounds and we had an absoulute great weekend up there its out of this world id give it ten out of ten for e verything and we will be going back Read more
"Too Far from the City"
We went to CityWest for a wedding which went very well. However they put us right next to the lift and had another wedding in the room just two doors away which went on and on and on. Consequently we got absolutely no sleep that night. Apart from that the organisation left a lot to be desired. Would not stay here again. In addition it takes almost an […] hour to get into the City using the LUAS Line. Definitely not an experience I will be repeating. Read more

"We used this as a base for the races."
I absolutely loved it. The bed was so comfy, The room was sumptuous and opulent. Beautiful views. I stayed there with my husband but we intend to return in June with our three children. We intend to do the zoo package, use the hotel leisure facilities and return to the exquisite, Lemon Grass restaraunt.

"Function & overnight"
Was staying for a big function - bar men in the function area were not focused on customer. Ate in Thai restaurant - excellent. Met a lady in the Leisure Centre who went the extra mile to be helpful.
Overall lovely hotel, nicely furnished and comfortable lounge reception area with bar and friendly staff. Allow an hour to get in to Dublin by Luas taking account of easy 10 min walk from hotel. Not overly family oriented and a bit inconvenient that teenage kids could only use the pool up to 18.00 as there is not a lot to amuse them after that. Staff […] generally pleasant in hotel but leisure centre staff appeared to be quite comfortable swearing in general conversation in clear earshot of customers. Swimming caps old news now. Read more

"Easter Break"
Good convenient hotel for family break. Lemongrass resturant excellent.
"Adequate"
The hotel is adequate in all respects - clean, friendly staff etc. Parking was a bit of a nightmare but the car-park staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was satisfactory, good powerful shower, comfy bed and clean enough. Only downside was the food in the bar - it wasn't overpriced but wouldn't have minded paying a bit more for better quality. […] Still all in all, good value. Read more
This is a hugh hotel & is easy to get lost these. Sraff were very friendly & helpful. Food was very good, freshly cooked. Room was very good but a littly shappy in places. Otherwise very good & overall excellent value.
"Fantastic Hotel"
We had a fantastic weekend at this hotel. The hotel and staff were as excellent as the golf course. Sadly the standard of our golf was the only thing that let us down and frustrated us over the weekend. The hotel was fantastic value. Fantastic setting.
"Good value in the sticks"
Citywest is in a commercial district far outside Dublin city. It is convenient to the main Cork-Dublin road, and the Luas tram stops 1 km away that goes to the city center. So the location is the least favorable aspect of this hotel if you want to be in Dublin. The hotel itself is classy, comfortable and well appointed, though large and rambling and […] beginning to show its age. My room was very quiet and comfortable, excellent value for what I paid. I would definitely go there again. Read more
The holes itself is a fanastc facility how ever the rooms are starting to look very tried and in serious need of updating, there is a real 90's feel to the decor. Leisure centre staff could do with some training on customer care, they were unhelpful and unintrested. I found the bar staff to be very friendly and accommodating.
"Citywest Hotel and Golf Resort"
Nice hotel. Very large. We found it difficult to find our room as signage referred to the wing our room was located in rather than just using the room numbers. Room was considerable walk from reception and breakfast areas, but the room was quiet and clean. The bed was a little bit hard. Breakfast had a good selection and there was plenty of staff around […] to assist if required. The Saggart Luas tram stop is near the end of the hotel driveway. The driveway is quite long to walk if its raining or cold, but not far really. A return ticket on the tram to dublin city centre is just over three euro so good value. Tram takes about 50 mins to get to city centre. Read more

"City West Hotel"
Great location for business and with the extension to the Luas now only 40 minutes from City centre. The hotel is unbelievable value with very friendly staff and it is always a pleasure to stay at this hotel.

"call hotel before you book"
Very unhappy with this hotel. No pay movies in room as advertised just basic channels. No in room massage as advertised, no safe in room as advertised had to ask for one at reception. Leisure centre closed at 6pm on sundays and bank holidays hotel miles from nearest shop. Food not the best in hotel restaurant and tasteless in lemongrass restaurant although […] the waitress do their best. Breakfast is nothing special. I liked the bed, most of the staff very freindly and reception were good. Read more
"Citywest hotel"
We were attending an event at this hotel so booked it for convenience. Check-in was fine but our room was at one of the extreme ends of the hotel and we had a lot of walking to do to and from our room. Our room looked clean enough but the smell of stale cigatette smoke was very strong and there was cigarette ash on the toilet floor. We werent impressed. […] also the room was cold and the airconditioning unit didnt seem to make any difference. There were no additional pillows or blankets. We spoke to the manager as we were leaving to make him aware of our complaints. Read more
Very pleasant location. No negatives to speak of. I would go again.

"City West Hotel"
lovely hotel, very comfortable and lovely food
"CityWest Hotel"
Very convenient to city, due to next Luas extension. Hotel very busy while we stayed, but very well organised and stay was plesant. Would recomend for families who want a nice, clean hotel with a leisure centre, and do not want to be bothered with driving/parking in town, as the Luas is available.
The hotel was very nice. It is not close to Dublin City, but if you are there for a wedding or convention they do have a luas (train) near by that will take you straight into the city. The beds werent as comfortable as you would think the should be...but maybe this is an irish thing as all hotels we stayed in were hard.
"city west dublin"
went with family ideal location luas 2min walk staff very helpful food very good lovely setting nice golf course
"Huge room"
I booked a family room and it was huge, the room was gorgeous very impressed. Got the room for a very competitive price. I only stayed one night as i was in Dublin visiting the zoo but I would stay again. I used the pool which was nice, the changing rooms had a dispenser which contain plastic bags for your wet gear, sounds basic but such a handy extra, […] more pools should provide. Read more
The hotel was very nice to stay in,we were only there for one night and got upgraded!it has a nice atmosphere and our room was lovely.there was no noise or anything.we were allowed to check out a bit late and everything was great. One bad point is for tourists its proberly not in the best location of dublin, not much around at all really, but town and […] shops are only a short drive away .perfect for a quite break away for a couple!would stay here again ! "Ideal location with good city links"
This is a very large hotel catering for lots of guests but still retains the Irish welcoming service. It is on the outskirts of Dublin with plenty of parking and easy to get to, yet the Luas (tram) stop is only a few minutes walk from the hotel, and the tram takes 1/2hr to get to the city centre. The trams run until approx 1am so it is an ideal way […] to get in Dublin. The breakfast was a hot & cold buffet in a large dining room, although you may have to share tables with other small groups.
