Hotel was modern and comfortable. It is also HUGE! If it were not right on the water with a heated pool overlooking the Med, I may have gone for a more intimate hotel. The lobby and 1st floor areas are very classy with a view of the Med. The pool was nice but closed early in off season - only open 10AM to 5PM. Fairmont Hotel located in prime spot, close to casino and center of everything in Monte Carlo. Careful when you book your room if it says ocean view as many of the side rooms although have a view, is very limited and deceiving. Stick to rooms toward center of hotel and upper floors to ensure good view, otherwise you may get what we originally had, a […] view of concrete with a sliver of water to see - Staff incredibly helpful and did change our room. Lobby and common areas beautiful. Some of the hallways need updating. Rooftop lounge beautiful with full view of sea - also very expensive to rent a 'bed' at pool - and you have to reserve. This hotel stay was not what we expected.the few times wE dined in the restaurants we had very poor service and he prices were greatly overpriced. At the pool I requested a drink, received it in a small plastic cup and was charged 22 euros, about $30. Hotel was nice. Be prepared to spend a lot of cash though as it's pretty pricey in Monte Carlo - even by my standards. Be sure to take the 'Hop on Hop Off' Bus tour, it was great and only $17.00.

Booked the trip at the last minute for a Honeymoon vacation. When we arrived, they had upgraded us to a suite and had a bottle of champagne waiting. Our room was fantastic & the location is without question the best in Monte Carlo. We were within walking distance of everything. Each night, we walked to the Cafe de Paris - next to the casino - for drinks […] & car watching. The walk took less than 5 minutes. Also, we were able to rent a Ferrari from the hotel and drive along the Cote d'Azur to Cannes & Nice for a nice day trip. Under our budget it matched all expectations and the best part was the location. OMG, what a fantastic hotel in an amazing location, right next door to the Casino. We loved our short stay at this hotel, it was beautifully appointed and right on the water. For such a hotel the rooms were not as plush as we had expected, most staff were friendly and very helpful although a few (very much the minority) came across as uninterested. Still this is a great location and an ideal base for visitors to Monaco.

Very convenient location, both within Monaco and in terms of transportation (especially bus) option. The bus from Nice Airport stops at the doorstep (€20) as opposed to cab (100+). The Fairmont Hotel is a stunning, large hotel that takes pride of place in a central location in the gorgeous town of Monte Carlo. In close proximity to the casino, restaurants and bars, and a short stroll to the beach, you could not ask for anything more from this fantastic destination. Our standard room was large and very spacious with views to the […] water (over the rooftop of the auditorium), cleaned impeccably and presented beautifully. We enjoyed a 60-minute massage at the hotel spa, and while this was an expensive indulgence, it made our stay at the Fairmont that more relaxing and enjoyable. The views from the rooftop bar and pool lounge are unbelievable and breathtaking (some great vantage points to take photos of the water and mountains of Monaco). We had cocktails by sunrise and enjoyed the chill-out tunes from the resident DJ. I would imagine this to take place only during the summer months, but I could only think that Monte Carlo would be enjoyed in its fullest glory in the warmer climate/time of year. Read more

Just returned from a 3 night break at the Fairmont, Monte Carlo. Was unsure what to expect after reading a few reviews about the staff being rude etc. We neednt have worried, all the staff were more than helpful, not once did we come across anyone being rude or unhelpful. The poolside staff were exceptional. They find you a sunbed, lay the towels out […] for you, move the sun brollies etc. If they see you trying to move a brolly they rush over to do it for you. Swimming pool area was amazing, sea one side and the buildings and hills the other. Poolside food was lovely. We stayed in a deluxe sea view room, level 4 which i heard was best to go from level 4 up as you get the best views which was correct. If you were below level 4 your view wouldnt be as good. The rooms were spotless, lots of Miller Harris toiletries. Plenty of choice in the mini bar. The food and drink was expensive but this is Monte Carlo so we expected it. But, the food was amazing. Had room service a couple of times and the food was really good quality. The only disappointing thing was we didnt have breakfast included in our hotel price which was strange as we paid extra to have deluxe sea view room. The breakfasts were expensive - up to 38 euros per person. We had breakfast in the upstairs restaurant, a lovely experience, they cook omelettes and eggs in front of you and it was all very fresh. Overall, i would thoroughly recommend the hotel and we will definitely be going back there. Read more

The best positioned hotel in Monaco more or less directly on the sea next to the casino and a short walk to the beach. Location perfect. Hotel has a casino built in which is much more lively than the Grand Casino and there is an equally impressive collection of cars outside the hotel! Internet connection is ridiculously slow almost unusable and incredibly expensive at €20. The car parking is also incredibly expensive. Go to the next bend up the hill and turn right parking in the public parking and save over €12 per day.
