Microtel Beckley - Beckley 37.79562, -81.22635

The room was so small, no coffee pot, pillows uncomfortable,. and a small TV on top of the highboy. For the price I have had a room I could walk around in. a large screen TV. I will say the room was clean, but that is all I can say. The complimentary breakfast was nothing to be excited about. There was a $25.00 pet fee that was higher than most hotel/motel, in fact many do not charge a fee. I have a 5.5 lb well trained dog and I found that price way out of line. I would not recommend this hotel, because for the price I can get much better. I travel frequently so am experienced with hotels/motels.

Small room (and TV), but quite comfortable and very conveniently located just off I-64 on our way to the Eastern Shore. Complimentary continental breakfast made for a quick start in the morning. Free Internet access was also a plus. Price definitely made it a bargain!

The man that checked us in has no personality. The room smelled of urine, the toilet paper is no where near the toilet, no coffee pot in room. They say complimentary breakfest, wrong... It's just coffee, juice, & muffins. The room is smaller then my closet.

This place was very clean and very friendly. Staff was very helpful and accommodating. Would highly recommend.

We were completely satisfied with our stay at the Beckley, WV Microtel. Our room contained everything we needed and was very clean nd odor-free. The bed linens and towels were also clean and fresh. Timing prevented us from partaking in the continental breakfast. We will plan to stay at Microtel in the future.

Great, clean, well-designed room for the money. Not a lot of extra-space but very efficient layout. Indoor pool and sauna up to standards. My dog was also pleased with the sizable area to run in behind he hotel.

This is our third visit to the Beckley Microtel. Still impressed with service and comfort.

The staff at Microtel were very friendly. I accidentally left behind a pillow on my way to vacation, and they were very nice about it and held it for me until I traveled through the area again. Very convenient location. The room was small, but clean. I would stay there again.

We had never stayed at a Microtel before..but took a chance because of the price and location near the Interstate. Another family traveled with us, and the next morning we all agreed that we would stay at Microtels again. Our rooms were clean & comfortable, beds firm, staff went out of their way to be friendly, and while the continental breakfast was modest, items tasted fresh.

The room was neat, very clean, and pet friendly, with a nice back yard to let your dog romp in.

Great room for the money, but continental breakfast area needs some work.

For the money, it was a decent hotel. The room was clean; the beds comfortable. The lobby and elevator could have used a good cleaning. The staff was friendly and very helpful.

This is a great place to stay! Great staff, and an excellent room! Clean and comfortable! I will definetly stay there again, the next time I have business in Beckley!

I stayed in Microtels while traveling in the past due to the convenient location, cleanliness, and price. The hotel was satisfactory but the price seemed outrageous. The overhead lighting was glaring, too bright for snuggling in for a little reading before snoozing. Microtels were built for inexpensive travel convenience. The chain seems to have gotten away from this objective, but it's a sign of the times.

This hotel far exceeded my expectations. The only small comment I have, was there were no local menus available to order in. I plan to stay there again.

My room was good a little small, but it worked out great for me. I had a little bit of hard time finding it at night. It is set back off road and the sign is small. Now that I know where it is I would stay again.

The room was very clean. The front desk person was very helpful and even left us use the Hot Tub an hour after she should have closed because we checked in late. I would tell everyone this is a great value for the money. We will stay this same weekend every year now.

We arrived afer 11pm, in the dark. The hotel light is missing some bulbs so we drive past it, twice. I did let the check in staff know, she said yes it's been out for a awhile. We did forget something in the room, called for them to hold. They did, we had no problem finding it in the daylight. There was a used q-tip on the bathroom floor, sorry we were just to tired to let anyone know. The breakfast was what we expected from reading the other reviews.

being a 1-star, I had shall we say 'lowered expectations'. I was suprised at how nice it was for a 1-star. The room was well decorated and even had a window seat. I would stay here again.

it was a real nice motel.

I drove 5 hours to visit with my daughter before she leaves for the Air Force in November. The pool, and whirlpool/hot tub was very entertaining and relaxing for us all. The beds allowed us to sleep like babies after HOURS of fun and laughter. We're planning another trip to Beckley, WV before she leaves for training and you can bet we'll be staying at the same place, hopefully the same room.

This hotel not only accomodating my family but they even made my dog Lucy Lou comfortable and didn't break the bank. We will definitely stay again. We usually go to Country Inn and Suites but they didn't have good customer service and your hot tub was just as nice.

Room was neat and clean, swimming pool water was mirkey, Breakfast was Blue Berry Muffin, and/or Bagel and Cream Cheese. As Motels go, this was a little better the the norm. I was rather surprised at all the personal and credit card information that was wanted..... "hotel.com" takes that info also, and we really don't like that data spread around much.

The person who checked us in was very friendly and helpful. She made us feel welcome and appreciated. Another staffer, who maintained the breakfast area where we ate the following morning, was also very nice and helpful. The breakfast selection was great and the whole area was neat and clean, with plenty of room for everyone.
