"Location is great, as is the hotel."Reviewed by a Hotels.com guest on May 2, 2012
The location of the hotel is unbeatable. We could hear the bells of the abbey and look out to see the parade grounds. I was initially concerned that a BW may be a big box, but they have sensitively maintained much of the character of the wonderful old hotel while incorporating modern amenities like a full, modern, spacious bathroom. We opted for the breakfast inclusive package and found it to be robust and offering many options. We set out on foot and did the whole city from this great central location.
"Pleasant Setting and Charming Family"Reviewed by Norman T of "Dallas, TX" on Apr 17, 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay which was in an idylic country town which afforded great access to local sites such as Bath. Family was an absolute charm with homey rooms with comfortable beds and a delicious breakfast.... Would definitely stay there again....

Excellent! Will stay again.
"Beautiful place!"Reviewed by Nancy El of "London" on Mar 28, 2012
We stayed one night at this B&B on our way to Bath. It's very convenient if you have a car; parking is free and it's an easy and quick trip into the city. The place itself is absolutely wonderful. The pub serves excellent food with excellent atmosphere; the room was decorated beautifully with a very comfortable bed; and the bath was to die for! Bath was HUGE and had a fantastic deep soaking tub (with room for 2!) and huge walk-in shower. The decor of room and bath is very modern and sleek but still comfortable, and the room still has plenty of old character features. I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone staying in the area. In addition, the staff and owner are very pleasant as well.

"A little hard to find, but good location."
We had trouble finding the Bath Hilton due to one-way streets and traffic congestion, but it is close to the Abbey, Roman baths and Pump Room, so it's worth the trouble. Two negatives: internet access was available only in the lobby and parking costs approx. $22 per night. Positives are the full breakfast in the restaurant with a fantastic view and, […] as mentioned, hotel's location. Read more
"Don't get the breakfast"
We stayed here recently in March and was fairly satisfied with the hotel. The real plus for the place is it's central location which is a couple of blocks from the Abbey, the Roman Baths and Pulteny Bridge on the river Avon. The Royal Crescent, and the Circus are a little further away but well within walking distance. However, for the two of us one […] morning, the breakfast buffet came to the equivalent of $60! Would like to recommend the restaurant called Browns and the Raven Pub for lunch that has a long menu of various pies. The beer is very good too and it won a CAMRA award. Read more
"Hilton-Bath was fantastic"
I cannot say enough great things about our stay. The staff was amazing and courtious, the location was centralized, we walked there from the train station, it was perfect.
"Hilton Bath Spa"
Excellent hotel. Very helpful concierge and desk staff. Room very clean and well appointed.
"Great location, but bring a pad for the bed!"
This hotel couldn't be better located - easy walk from train station, and amazing view of Pulteney Bridge while you have breakfast, but: internet is 15GBP per day!!, beds are like sleeping on granite slabs, and the coffee is the WORST. Staff is very friendly but they shouldnt nickel and dime you on internet- all nice hotels provide it free (including […] the one in Copenhagen I am writing this from......). Read more
"Hilton Bath City - Excellent location"
The Hilton Bath City is very conveniently located for the tourist and shopping attractions in Bath. We spent one night there during a family vacation and the location enabled us to do quite a bit in a short time. The staff was quite helpful. The hotel has an arrangement with an attached parking garage if you drive allowing you to park overnight (for […] a fee). Read more
"Hilton Bath"
If you get a non-smoking room make sure the entire floor is non-smoking. all they have 2 rates for internet. If your lucky and close to the first floor you can get wireless which cost less than the hard wired connection. Buy internet directly is less than purchasing a hotel voucher. Internet was a pain, I had to keep logging on each time I turned my […] computer back on. Try to get a room on the back side of the hotel. The pub across the road stays loud well past 3:00 am. The room is a tad small when you have 2 fairly large luggages. The staff is friendly and helpful. Parking is not free and a bit pricy at 21 poulds per night. Everything was clean and the hotel is in a great location. Read more
"Hilton Bath-check in time strict"
Overall great place. My only complaint was that our room was not ready upon check in. Checkin time is listed as 3 pm and we arrived at 3 sharp and had to wait in the lobby with our luggage after checking in with the front desk for about 10 mins before we could get keys to our room. Several others were also waiting in the lobby area for their rooms. […] We overheard later that evening that the couple that checked in right after us wait over 30 mins to gain access to their room. However, after this all service and location were great. Staff was friendly and accommodating with no other problems. I would still recommend this hotel. Just be prepared to have to check your luggage with the front desk upon arrival and begin your sightseeing if your room is not ready. Read more
"Excellent"
Right in the middle of town. Easy walk to everything. Great food staff and desk staff. Close parking.
"Hilton in Bath UK"
Hotel was clean, but the beds were not up to standards we would expect from a Hilton in America. The bathroom was very small. They did not have free Internet access in the hotel, The location was great, we were able to walk to see the sights and shops but, the late night pub crowd was very loud. We could hear them outside the building until 2 in the […] morning. You will have to pay to park a car. Read more
"Good for short sightseeing stay"
Great location in city center however if you are driving a 21BP parking fee per night is steep.
"Location is so handy"
Hilton Bath City is not the most appealing from the outside but it is certainly fit for purpose ie base for a good shopping & leisure weekend! Central location handy to shops, bars, restaurants, sights. We couldn't have asked for much more.
"Disappointing"
Standard of service excellent. Staff in all areas friendly yet professional. Breakfast was very good. Completely let down by comfort of beds ( still have backache) and the twin room including the bathroom was well past it 's sell by date.
"Perfect location and usual Hilton quality"
Great location, very comfortable, and very good price for 4 people sharing with the buffet breakfast included.
"Highly recommend"
Wonderful hotel, clean, spacious, seemed to be recently renovated The breakfast buffet was an outstanding value. Great location.
"Average hotel"
The hotel is located close to the town centre and its historic buildings. The rooms are reasonably comfortable and clean. There is a car park under the hotel if you dont mind paying £21 a day. On our arrival the temperatures were in the high 20s and we had to fight to get the windows unlocked to cool the room. The staff were reasonably helpful and we […] did enjoy our stay in the end. "Great hotel noisy guests"
There was no problem at all with the hotel, friendly service, clean modern rooms, good breakfast with a most helpful waiter. But there was a function on at the hotel that night and the guests staying from the function made a point of singing at the top of their voices as they walked down the corridor (3rd floor) on their way to bed at 3am. Not really […] the hotel's fault, but they should reconsider accepting booking for student balls. Read more
"A reasonably priced hotel with good points"
Location was good - excellent for getting around Bath. The room was well kept and comfortable, although a little smaller than anticipated. The bathroom wasn't cleaned as well as it should have been - odd strands of hair in the shower and sink made it a little off-putting. The random allocation of the room was disappointing - we were facing the city, […] although the back rooms of the hotel have views of the river -this was requested when I booked, but obviously never happened. The service was great - although we had no real demands except for leaving our bags before we check in. The breakfast was great - lots of choice. next door to waitrose was handy! I would book this hotel again. Read more
"Stay away"
Terrible.
Lady on reception (sorry didn't see her name but she is from Nottingham) was very friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was good and a overall good choice. Will certainly return at some point.
"Good value and clean hotel"
A relaxing stay with nice facilities in the room such as hairdryer, coffee maker and iron. Nice bedding.

I expected much better from a Hilton. Basic room, poor bathroom, whole place in need of refurbishment!

"hotel bath"
Had a very relaxing overnight stay. Certianley would stay again at the special rate as I travel frequently to Cornwall to see my son.
"More of a motel"
We stayed for one night . There was a warm welcome and the parking issue was resolved. More information on booking or when I phoned to ask about parking would have been better!! The deluxe room was reasonable, but not deluxe!!. The air conditioning was difficult to control, [no instructions] so had to open a window. The bed was very firm and thus uncomfortable. Breakfast […] was included and acceptable choice, but cooked items not hot. The coffee was horrid. The location and convenience rated good. Read more
"City Centre hotel"
This hotel is perfect for exploring Bath, only a few minutes walk to the city centre and a lot of the historical sights. The hotel was very clean and comforable and the staff frendly and helpfull. I would recamend this hotel and will certianly use it next time I visit Bath.
"Hilton Bath City UK"
The room was not large but was adequate. the soap dish in the bathroom fell off and the lights around the mirror failed. the hotel staff were very good and we enjoyed the meals that we took. the food was very good and the service freindly and polite.. overall we enjoyed our stay and would go again

"Def use the hotel for my next trip to Bath!"
Nice clean, modern, well appointed rooms with a great shower, comfy bed. The hotel is in a great location with everything you want to see in Bath right on your doorstep and a 4/5 minute walk from Bath Spa station, and an underground car park. Efficient and very pleasant staff to check in. I'd definitely use the hotel for my next trip to Bath.

"Super break"
We booked a 2 night B&B break in the Hilton Bath and were not disappointed. Our superior room had been recently refurbished to a high standard. The staff were exceptionally helpful at all times. The Hotel is so conveniently situated for shopping and Thermae Spa. We will definitely return. Great value.
"Good location, pretty standard"
Though it's fairly corporate and looks like most Hilton hotels around the world, the location makes up for the lack of charm. Rooms are comfortable and very clean. Overall a decent bet for a visit to Bath.

"great location"
The location is great for shopping and spa baths. The hotel could do with updating. the room was small and this was supposed to be an upgrade because we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary, the bathroom had no heating, so it was uncomfortable being in there. The bar area is situated near the main entrance with an automatic door, which obviously […] was continually opening, when we visited in december, the weather was freezing, so it was too cold to sit and have a drink in the bar. However, the pub opposite is cheaper and warmer. Read more

"HILTON HOTEL BATH"
This hotel is brilliantly situated less than 5 minutes walk-and in girlie heels too!!-from loads of restaurants and pubs. It doesn't look much from the outside but the inside more than makes up for it and the view over the river at breakfast was delightful. My husband and I stayed here after a thoroughly enjoyable stay at the Hilton near the O2 London […] and will definately be looking at Hiltons as the first choice again. Read more

"Hilton Bath City 1 night stay"
Generally all good location close to places of interest and shops no need to travel any further than walking distance to get to these locations. Only winge was that the heating did not seem to work consistantly in our room.
"The Hilton Bath City - luxurious hotel."
The hotel is located in a very convenient location close to all the must see sights. The room is also clean and comfort.
"Bring earplugs"
The Bath Hilton is ideally placed near all the attractions, and offered an adequate stay. However, the noise levels within the hotel were off-putting - we heard other guests all night long walking above us or in the corridor, blowing their noses and using the loo next door. Earplugs helped. A lot.
The parking is a very big broblem.Every time you go into the car park it cost you fifteen POUNDS. I was also surprised i was not able to use the teletex on the TV IN THE BEDROOM .
Experienced a loud buzzing noise for the last 2 hours of our stay which spoiled our experience somewhat, it seemed to be coming from the aircon. We reported it to the staff on our exit.
"Great location - The Bath Hilton"
Ok, so The Bath Hilton isn't the best looking hotel from the outside and i did do a little silent gulp as we arrived - after turning down some 'prettier' hotels... HOWEVER as they say, looks are not everything/ don't be put off by the cover/ we are all beautiful inside blah blah - well it's true, the inside of The Bath Hilton was really nice, big, spacious […] and the bar/ restaurant areas were really nice. We had a deluxe double room which was lovely, big and even had an 'ok' river view. The bathroom was really nice and modern too. However the best thing about this hotel is definitely location! You can practically smell the Old baths and Bath Abbey they are so close - just 5 min walk (if that) and you are there - you don't even need to turn off from the hotel road to walk to Abbey/ Baths. Town centre is also just a few mins away - all in all a great get away. One problem, although this wasn't the hotels fault, we went to see the Christmas markets (arrived on dec 17th) however they closed on the 11th! hmmm - make sure you do your research first! enjoy.
