Located in a quiet part of town, five minute walk from central station. Staff was warm and hospitable. Small room was very clean and modern, and the bathroom was bright and sterile. Flat screen tv was a bonus and comfortable bed. Breakfast was free and outstanding with plenty of fruit, bread, cereal, and meats, eggs, and sausage. And inexpensive compared to others in the area. Will definitely stay here again if in town.

I was left without ANY towels one day, and the other day they had picked up the towels from the bath and hung them again. Novotel Goteborg is a nice hotel situated on the river near where the Stena Line ferry to Kiel, Germany arrives and departs. There are limited views of the river, however, and the hotel built a conference center between the hotel and the river, blocking most of the view. Inside, the hotel was clean, comfortable and well-maintained. The staff was friendly […] and accommodating and all the rooms and lobby had free Wi-FI. The hotel restaurant offers free breakfast to guests but their lunch and dinner prices can be expensive compared to restaurants in the surrounding area. The quality of the food was good but not great given the price. There was no way to control the temperature in the rooms and our room was a little warm in late October even with the windows open and cooler temperatures outside. The hotel is located south of the city but is only a few minutes drive from city central and all the shopping, museums, etc., so you get a good location near the city without all the noise of the city. In the room there was a used birth controll device for men on the sink and on the floor a used sanity material for a woman. The room was not cleaned at all and the hotel manager did not return my e-mail. Will never ever stay at a Novotel-hotel again.

I det stora hela var vi väldigt nöjda med hotellet o vistelsen där. Det vi däremot saknade, som vi sett fram emot var ett större utbud på frukosten. Är man där på helgen så gör man ofta en familjeresa o då vill barnen ha pannkakor. Å vi vuxna saknade omelett. Nu var det egentligen ingenting på den biten som utmärkte sig - man vill ju att hotellfrukosten […] ska vara något man minns och som man pratar om. Dessutom tycker man ju att man kunde skurit bort fula kanter på osten o bemödat sig lite extra på att få just ostbordet att se lite fräschare ut. Nu smakade allting gott, men vi saknade de där extra kulinariska höjdpunkterna. Read more

Vi overnattede på hotellet på vej på skiferie i Norge. Alt i alt var det en positiv oplevelse, indtil vi om morgenen fik at vide, at der havde været indbrud i vores bil på hotellets parkeringsplads, blot 25 meter fra hovedindgangen. Hotelpersonalet var meget behjælpelige med at få ringet til politi og glasskadefirmaer, ligesom de også hjalp med materialer […] til midlertidig lapning af ruden samt støvsugeren, spand til glasskår osv. Det er et fint hotel med gode værelser, fin service og gode forhold i det hele taget. Men vores oplevelse blev ødelagt af indbrud på en tilsyneladende dårligt overvåget og lidt for let tilgængelig parkeringsplads. Read more

Hotellet ligger et stenkast fra en av Gøteborgs beste restauranter. Vi fikk et familierom med god plass og gode senger. Vannkoker og strykebrett på rommet. Flott treningstilbud og fin spa/badstue avdeling. Meget hyggelig betjening.
