It's cheap I would like to take a shop vac and go thru the building and elevator and suck up everything I'm a cleaner so I see thing maybe someone else wouldn't ...but for the price it's alrite and the pool needs some attention that's about it oh and wifi is sloooowwww but again cheap you get what you pay for

At first I got unclean room on first floor. After apologies they change my room to 2nd floor and elevators are out of service. More apologies. Refrigerator with former guests food in it. More apologies. They are barging about they recent remodeling. It was done by unsupervised apprentices. We go to Detroit every couple months or so, and this hotel is close to family. While there are great restaurant options nearby, that's about the only benefit. There must have been a party or something because people were running up and down the halls all night drinking and yelling at one another. The hallway reeked of pot smoke and though security was […] there, no one ever called the police or made anyone quiet down. There was trash everywhere in the public spaces and the milk and yogurt in the continental breakfast had all spoiled. I would recommend spending the extra few dollars and heading elsewhere. My husband and I needed some quality alone time and this place was conveniet, afforable and just what we were looking for. The one night stay was well worth it.

The facet in the shower was very hard to pull up. The tv made a horrible noise when a commerical came on. The fridge was not cooling but there was a bunch of ice in the freezer. But We had a nice bed clean shower and really all in all it was nice.

Great hotel and wonderful staff! Have stayed here often. Great hotel for the price. Breakfast includes yogurt and various milks and juices as well as pastries, bagels, etc. Staff is very friendly. Can't say enough about the staff! Beautiful drive from here to Detroit (Downtown) along the shore of Lake St. Clair through Grosse Point.

When i first walked in I was informer that solicitation was not approved of in the hotel. Last i knew wearing a tank top and a skirt didnt make you a hooker. After that accusation i was told key cards kept malfunctioning and i may get locked out of my room and have to go get new key cards. The shower curtain had feces, actual FECES on it. When i attempted […] to turn the heat on the heater stunk up the room so bad we had to open the window but could not keep it open due to the fact that the window screen had been pried away from the sil. When i went to the front desk to ask for an air freshener or something to help with the smell the woman at the counter tried to give me dryer sheets... not going to help with the smell. With nothing else to do we resulted to blaring the bathroom fan in hopes it would help. Half an hour later someone from the front desk came by and gave us a bottle of disinfectant odor spray for upholstry. Overall i was extremely upset with this hotel, the hallway smelled like urine and my entire stay was nothing but one problem after another. I would seriously suggest to anyone looking for a hotel in this area to look into one fo the ones surrounding the Microtel, it was disgusting, their service was horrible and was an overall irritating and upsetting stay. This hotel was nice and clean when we came in however there was a problem on getting new towels. We had to notify the workers for new towels just because we ran out. Also the pool had a lot of bugs in. It's very humid in the pool and I think they opened the windows to let cool air in. Stayed one night. The hotel was ok but I had a tap dancing neighbor staying above me who tap danced until 1 am!! The desk has a sign that states that noisy guests get one warning. I called the desk and was assured that he would take care of it. Wrong. The nosie continued. Upon check out I complained again and the desk clerk showed no record of my complaint […] from 11:30 pm the night before. She brought the manage over and he apologized and stated he would talk to the desk clerk. Our room was clean and comfortable. Complimentary breakfast was adequate for cost of stay. Business center in the lobby didn't allow for privacy. Exercise room in poor condition. Indoor swimming pool heavily chlorinated to combat unshowered guests. Otherwise, convenient location to highway and stores.

My son lives less than 2 miles from this hotel, so it was great. Right by Rt. 94, there's an IHOP and Meijer within walking distance and a BBQ place directly across the street. Will Definitely stay there again!

The staff were very nice and the hotel has a friendly atmosphere. The room didn't have fridge of microwave as advertised, but i am sure they would've brought them to the room if i asked for them. The price is great and it is a great deal, I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends and will stay in it every time i visit Detroit.

After I booked and paid for the reservations, I was contacted by a lady from the hotel which said that due to a mistake on their behalf I could not get a room with a handicap equipped shower, however I would be upgraded to a handicap frioendly suite. We had a suite. The sofa bed had stains of unknown origin. The refrigerator had broken trim. Unable to connect to Internet via hotel wi-fi, called the clerk and he had no idea how to help us. There were employees constantly propping open the hotel door to smoke. We came out one morning to find the door propped open, no employees smoking, and a homeless […] guy rummaging through the dumpster fifty feet from the door. Hotel was fine. We stayed two nights. It was packed and there were no problems.

was told there was a fitness center and that's only consisted of an exercise bike and a treadmill . and the wifi network was horrible I could not connect the entire time . and finally the type of people staying in the hotel was despicable .

I have stayed in many hotels through the years and yours is nice but does need some attention. I did however share with the front desk staff that the carpet needs attention in room 230. Between the beds there was food mashed into the carpet. Other than that the room was clean. I belong to Harper Woods Little League (president of the parents association) […] We are using your hotel as are first choice for families to use while here for state tournaments. Stay somewhere else if you're hoping to get a good night's sleep. On my first night I had noisy neighbors above me - made several calls to the manager and got very little rest. All *three* exercise machines in the fitness room, which smelled of old pool water, were broken. Should not be allowed to advertise that a fitness room is available if everything is broken.

The walls are a bit thin and there were kids running up and down the hall making a lot of noise. Hopefully this was a one time event. Iwould give it a try again.

Our stay was very pleasant. The beds was comfortable. We had a suite with fridge, microwave, and small kitchen sink. The staff was courteous and had a happy word every time we saw them. There was an indoor pool, but we never saw it. Location was good with shopping and food nearby. Would stay again.

The location has the conveints of numerous gas stations, casual shopping, grocery shopping, and restaurants that will satisfy the outrageous to simple cravings and so much more!!!

I travel for several months at a time and have been doing so for 16 years. I was on a very low budget on this trip so tried the Microtel. Was only there for a week but the bed was comfortable, room was clean, staff was friendly, had a good selection for breakfast foods unless you wanted fresh fruit. It was right off I-94 and close to a variety of chain […] restaurants and shops. The only bad thing I can say is that the coffee is absolutely AWFUL but for the price I paid, I can''t complain about anything. For a comfy bed and a clean room? it was worth the price I paid. My husband and I stayed here and we loved it. Everyone was nice and helpful. Our room was very clean and our bed was the most comfy bed. This is the first place that I have ever stayed were the room temp was perfect the whole time. I would stay there anytime and recommend this place to everyone!! Thank you for the great stay.

Front desk personnel were friendly and accomodating. There was no bed making in the mornings without asking for it. Coffee was not replaced except for one day. On checkout I was asked for more money even though I had payed completely up front through Hotels.com. Everything was great! I just love the rooms. A nice cozey size and still have room to breathe without bonking your head on something. The stove/sink/fridge are really convienant as well. Can't forget the bed, super comfy and not hard on my back at all!

Hotel in good location, right off I-94, I needed a hotel close to my first 6:30 AM appointment, Several good resturants next door.
