"Good hotel for a city trip"
Very nice hotel which is close to the stations, to any sights and lot of bars/restaurant. Room was nicely decorated and bed very comfy. Will stay there again next time.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great overnight stay"
A friend and I were in Glasgow for a show and stayed overnight at the Millennium. The twin room was spacious, well decorated, and very clean. We arrived back from the show in the early hours of the morning, so we had to be let in but the service was great, everyone was very friendly and professional. The location was ideal as it is right next to the […] train station and a 5 minute walk from the show, shops, and restaurants. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Great location near to both train stations in Glasgow friendly staffGenuine Expedia guest review
"In need of updating"
With such a great location the hotel is perfectly placed for any activity in glasgow city centre, this does not fully compensate however for the fact that the rooms are badly in need of updating and modernising.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Great location but in serious need of a refurb"
Very disappointed with my recent 2 day stay here. I was given a room that was off a narrow corridor. It was noisy and the room was dirty -dusty everywhere and stained, broken furniture. I wouldn't be staying here again unless it has a serious refurb.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Central and close to all amenities such as shop so"
Very comfortable accommodation Only one thing on the negative side There was scaffolding outside our bedroom window and workman were there doing works to the outside of the building. This was due to the commonwealth games being in Glasgow in a few weeks timeGenuine Expedia guest review
"In the middle of a needed refresh, but enjoyable."
The hotel is currently being refreshed - I passed some-one painting the skirting boards as I left in the morning - but it's still a lovely hotel. The carpet in my room needs to be renewed (or given a thorough clean) but again, it's due to age rather than actual dirtiness, there were no noticeable marks on it. Service was excellent, and the staff were […] very polite, even the doorman who let me in when I turned up at 3am after a works' night out! Friends have said it can be noisy when things are on in George Square, but I stayed on a Thursday night into Friday and didn't experience any significant noise. Also I didn't notice any noise from other rooms - but as I say, I got in at 3am so that might have something to do with it! I'd recommend the hotel as its central location would be difficult to beat, and it should be amazing inside once the refresh (I wouldn't even go so far as to call it a facelift) is complete. "Great central location"
Well appointed room in a very good location. Very clean. Staff very helpful. Shame the view of George Square was unavailable due to the scaffolding and advertising mesh.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Nice hotel, right in the heart of Glasgow. They are having a lot of fascia renovation work being on the front of the building which starts @ 07:30 so if your in the front be prepared to wake up early. The room was nice got a free upgrade to a room with a reception area. Clean comfortable bed.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Hotel is in good location, close to a wide choice of bars and eateries if you don't want to eat in.Genuine Expedia guest review
Overall a very positive experience at the Millenium. We had a less than ideal wait for our room to be ready, but the hotel is clean, comfortable and has great character. The location is second to none. Shame about the work going on out the front, obscuring most of the hotel, but it's all for the Commonwealth Games, so also necessary! Definitely rec […] ommended. I only stayed one night, the staff were friendly. However the air conditioning in the room was non existent and the room felt like a furnace and the windows in were nailed shut, when I asked for a fan I was advised that they were all in use..I spent a very restless nights.i know it's not very often we get really hot weather in this country but I would […] have expected a hotel of this quality to be prepared for all conditions. "4 Rooms in 5 Mins"
1st room had no plug in the bath and windows wouldnt open, 2nd room had no plug in the bath, 3rd room had it all, but they moved us back to 1st room after finding a plug.Genuine Expedia guest review
Best hotel in Glasgow for location and no worse than most for decor. Food ok. Service good.Genuine Expedia guest review
Didn't use many facilities at the hotel so can't really comment. Check in and out was efficient, room was comfortable, no complaintsGenuine Expedia guest review
"a short stay in Glasgow"
the location is probably the best in the city, George square with the beautiful architecture. the staff were knowledgeable friendly and helpful.Genuine Expedia guest review
Hotel was very central and within walking distance to restaurants and shops. The hallways and bedrooms were a bit 'tired' and would benefit from a makeover. I would stay there again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
Stayed one night, room was comfortable, although had workmen outside early morning on the scaffolding. No onsite parking had to park at nearby shopping centre. Close to Glasgow shopping precinct and all public transport is nearby.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Mostly good points"
Great reception staff, nice, friendly and helpful. Communal areas are really nice, good bar too. Hallways are nice. My room was pretty big, and the bathroom was huge, everything seemed a little bit tired in the room, needs a lick of paint and some TLC, but reasonably clean and comfy, bed was a little small as a double, but then i am used to a king at […] home. 3.5 stars, easily a 4 if rooms a bit better. Stay was only one night so was fine..Genuine Hotels.com guest review
It was fine. Nothing spectacular. Great location, right next to Queen st St Station.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
All members of staff were excellent, very attentive, with special reference to those who worked in the lounge/bar area. The rooms were OK though a little small and the air con was not thoroughly effective. The tip here is not to put it on as it seemed to make the room warmer rather than cooler.Genuine Expedia guest review
"The hotel rooms were noisey"
The first room was very noisey and I asked to be moved - the second room was smaller (single where as I had booked a double) this was less noisey then the first.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
BAR PRICES TO HIGHGenuine Hotels.com guest review
Room clean and presentable. Ceiling had suffered in one corner, needed some plastering but had been emulsioned over. The bed was awful, double bed with dip in the centre, hardly slept. Our room at end of long corridor, carpet in centre different shade from sides, perhaps hoover only went down centre. Reported our lack of sleep and bed problem to reception […] but not much interest shown, perhaps happens often! Big works outside to look good for Commonwealth Games - roll on the inside!! "A breath of fresh air"
Very friendly, mostly Scottish Staff. Large light 'Club Room' which was however in need of a spruce-up decor wise. Super view of George Square, and surprisingly quiet even with the windows open. Nice touch - complimentary drinks between 17.00-19.00. Just a lovely experience all round - would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing night or two a […] way Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review

"Good Location and value for money"
Have stayed here on more than one occasion. Both times I have ended up with a room at the front of the hotel which can be quite noisy at a weekend. The higher up your room is the less noise there seems to be. The staff are always very friendly and the bar is nice. Good value for the price and very central.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Doesn't live up to expectations"
I stayed at the Millennium Hotel Glasgow after seeing it from the outside and loving the idea of the location, What a mistake. Although on entry and Lobby they seem to have spent a lot of money and looks very impressive that is where the 4 star luxury ends. There was only 1 lift working and this was only really suitable for 2 people with luggage so […] causing an issue. My room was on the petite size and I was glad there was only me staying in it, if there had been 2 of us we would have been falling over each other. The furniture was chipped and worn, the Air conditioning made no difference and sounding like it was going to fall out of the ceiling any minute. The room was suppose to have satellite TV this was not so just Freeview, there was no safe in my room or Mini Bar as in the room description...... So if you are looking for a luxury stay I would recommend staying elsewhere. I would not consider staying at this hotel again. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
Excellent stay. We were party of four visiting family. Great location to meet up with family. We had large bedrooms facing square, noise can be a problem but it did not worry us. Breakfast good and plenty of choice. Staff friendly and helpful. Have stayed before and will stay again.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great hotel in Glasgow City Centre"
From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were excellent and very helpful. The breakfast was good quality and plentiful. We had booked a superior room and access to their club room for drinks etc, but were upgraded to a suite as the aircon wasn't working in our room.Genuine Expedia guest review
Visited Glasgow for a family birthday party. Hotel chosen for reputation and location. Location superb, reputation disappointed. We had a tiny room with barely enough room to swing a cat with extremely tired decor - being a regular traveller not what I'd expect of this class of hotel chain.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"A pleasant surprise after all the bad reviews"
Hotel reviews were not encouraging so I was apprehensive and expecting the worst before we arrived. Only booked it because it was a good deal and the location was so central. Was pleasantly surprised. Yes, the hotel could do with some refurbishment - the carpets need replacing and the place was looking tired. It could also do with a coat of paint here […] and there. However, our room was spotlessly clean and comfortable. Bathroom was very nice. Given what we paid for it, I'd consider it a bargain. Read moreGenuine Expedia guest review
The hotel was fine. It is in centre of Glasgow so convenient for everything. Vey big and spacious room. Could never manage to get on to internet though. Always busy. And main downside was that breakfast was not included in cost.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Great location and brilliant staff"
I always enjoy staying here, the start are so helpful and I know I am always going to get great service. The rooms are comfortable and the location is great, very central to Glasgow and only a few minutes walk to all the shops in Buchanan St and St Enoch's Great views over St George Square and great buffet breakfast, the discount on parking is also […] brilliant!! "Poor quality of rooms"
Room had damage to many parts of the ceiling. Tea & coffee facilities in room don't think they had been replenished from the last guest had 1 tea bag no sugar & a couple of milk. Carpets in corridors ripped & put back together with tape. Overall not a great stay didn't feel comfortable place.Genuine Expedia guest review

Stayed this weekend when visiting family, i chose hotel as next to queen street train station. "A tired Hotel, in need of a lick of paint ."
Comfy Beds, room was next to Railway station and a tremendous noise all night long from what sounded like generators and the cleaning of the station. This Hotel is tired, and in desperate need of a lick of paint and a refurbish, no polished tops left on tables all worn, paint chipped everywhere and carpet taped down all through the hotel where it has […] worn to prevent tripping. The staff and consiage I cannot fault they were very very helpful. They did change our room on our return a few days later . The Rooms were clean. Their amenities are brilliant, it just badly needs updating. Read moreGenuine Hotels.com guest review
"Not a 4* Hotel"
How this hotel is rated 4* i do not know. The decor is majorly outdated and in desperate need of refurbishment. The rooms have very high ceilings however the decor and furniture do not compliment this. The carpets are very outdated and were dirty. The only positive comment i can say about the rooms was the bathroom- very largeGenuine Expedia guest review
Stayed one night in club room in Millenium and it was fabulous..great size, very clean, comfy bed, marvellous view onto George Square and the staff couldn't have been nicer. Would definately stay there again and Id definitely recommend to family and friends xGenuine Hotels.com guest review

"Clean Central Glasgow Hotel"
I had a room on the third floor which was quiet;the view wasn't great but that was because my room wasn't looking out onto George Square, which would have been a lot noisier. The room was clean and WiFi was available at extra charge in the room. No problems at all really. I'd stay there again as it has a very convenient location.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Nice hotel in city centre."
Lovely stay at the millunium hotel. Great staff, very attentive. Room cosy with a fantastic view of George Square.Genuine Expedia guest review
Could not fault the staff at the hotel they were brilliant. The hotel is very central in Glasgow, however due to it being next to the train station it is very noisy at all times. Rooms are dated which is disappointing as we expected better.Genuine Hotels.com guest review

"Noisy delivery lorry"
Delivery lorry at 3 am not the best !!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Wouldn't stay again"
While the location is convenient, the hotel is old and dirty. Lots of noise from the street below, stained carpets, general maintenance issues (cracked tiles, bathroom shelf barely attached, plumbing didn't work well). Generally the staff was helpful although I did call the front desk a couple of times with no answer.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Tired and run down"
The hotel rooms are in desparate need off refurbishment. The photos online bear little resemblence to the rooms we stayed in. The hotel is in a very central location and the staff are friendly, but overall this hotel cannot be recommended! Plenty of better hotels in close proximity!Genuine Hotels.com guest review
"Nice hotel in city centre but some let downs."
Nice, very clean hotel with friendly staff but there were a few gripes. we could not check in for 25 minutes after the 2pm check in time as the room wasn't ready, leaving my partner and I late for an appointment. The shower was also cold both in the evening and the morning. Nothing major but could have been better.Genuine Expedia guest review
"Ideal for City overnight stay"
Booked for parents when they were attending a show nearby. Location ideal for the Royal Concert Hall. Right on George Sq. Told by parents that hotel could do with a spruce up but room large, comfortable and clean. Service good and breakfast lovely.Genuine Hotels.com guest review
