Although the hotel was find, the extra charges for parking and internet seemed over priced. They did offer packages that included breakfast, parking, and internet, but you were limited as to the amount of usage on the internet, and paid additional for overages.

Hotel was beautiful, modern and clean. Staff was very nice and helpful. The location is perfect. We walked everywher. We arrived early but our room was ready for us which was a nice surprise. Loved this hotel!

If you find yourself in Hamilton NZ, chances are you are there on business (can't think of any other reason to be there.) This hotel is centrally located in the town centre, which is charming and lively. The hotel itself is very "boutiquey" with modern decor. This was a good place to stay except for two things. 1. There was no fridge in the room, despite the booking saying there was a fridge and Mini Bar, had to go downstairs to get a glass of wine as no delivery.2. There were only two thin towels in the room, really need to do better here, no drying facilities in the room for them.

Was amazed that there was no fridge in the room but a gap where one used to be. rang reception and they said it had been removed for health and safety reasons. asked what these were and they just kept saying Health and Safety. After some discussion managed to get a fridge delivered to the room that was left when we were out but they did not bother to […] stack the bottles they had all fallen over in transit. Turns out that only one floor has fridges and the rest are on order. From the moment we arrived we were unhappy with the customer service. We arranged an early check in. This was not available. Instead of offering to hold our bags we had to haul them with us, through the dining area and sit with them around us for nearly an hour. When our room was ready we were simply given the keys and left to our own devices to haul […] our luggage, find the lift and our room location. Check out was another terrible display of customer service. We paid alot of money to stay at this hotel. Unfortunately it did not live up to our expectations. Very nice hotel in central location. Comfortable bed, and nice room. Only negative was the accessible room we were given, when we didn't need it. There was no vanity and the water wet nearly the whole bathroom. Otherwise, very nice.

Some staff are excellent but some are bordering on rudeness and need to go into another profession. Gym was rather disapionting needs more equipment. I had no fridge and thought I should of been told this or offered ice or something to keep water cold as it was very warm during my stay. Perfect for an overnight in Hamilton - we were attending a party and are two friends happy to share a room, however both wanted a double bed! only place in town we could get 2 big beds. Hotel was just great - great breakfast, service lovely, we both travel a lot internationally & locally and very impressed with this hotel.

bathroom could do with bit of upgrade as in between the tiles looks quite dirty, however the rest of the room was lovley and clean and the beds are super comfy. Always stay here when I go to Hamilton.

Bath towels were small and very thin. Nowhere near sink and mirror to put your toilet bag in the bathroom? Finding car parking was the biggest annoyance - parks all round the hotel taken and ended up having to park in sky city! Having room service with a good selection from midnight to 6am appreciated.

We only stayed one night as a stopover in Hamilton but the hotel was superb, welcoming staff, beautifully clean, well equipped rooms, extremely comfortable bed and superb breakfast. If there was a downer it would be that the car had to be put in a chargeable public car park or pay for secure valet parking which we did.

Family of 5 - 3 teens travelling through Hamilton on to Auckland for a flight home. Stayed overnight at this hotel and found it to be situated in the heart of the city with good restaurants and shopping conveniently located. Parking was available outside or undercover for extra fee. We were greeted by friendly and efficient staff who were able to provide us with all information we needed. Restaurant was overpriced for meal size and on the night we visited there were not a lot of people in the restaurant, but service was extremely slow. Hotel is a great location for Hamilton, rooms a very good size, did request King size and one extra and got two doubles. Double bed quite small as I am tall. Staff in all areas were excellent to deal with. Had to request towels each day, and cups and glasses as they were taken away and not returned. Mini bar was also missing items on check in, so basic […] house keeping could improve. Tea and coffee didn't get stocked up but when all was requested they dealt withit very quickly and efficiently. Had a lunch downstairs lobby and was very good. Beware need to pay for parking on top of the Hotel rate. Read more

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and received excellent service. The only negatives would be (1) that our room faced the main shopping street and there was some noise during the night and (2) that $18 per day for car parking was somewhat excessive.

# 3 of us had a wedding to go to in hamilton at 2pm so phoned from australia 2 days before to ask for early check in to get ready. Yes! we were told that should be ok. On arrival at 12pm we were told the previous customers had become ill and had not vacated the room. Our NEW room was not ready but there was a room were we could have a shower and get […] ready. With all our luggage we were escorted to the gym and sauna to unpack wedding clothes , shower, dry hair with wall hand drier, pack up, take trolley of luggage bakc to front desk. . After wedding collect trolley and go to room where connecting door to next suite was not locked and we were able to walk into someone elses room and all their luggage was at our disposal. Luckily they werent in bed or it would have been very embarrassing. Our valet car was delivered back to us with someone elses credit card on the front seat. We stayed at the Novotel for the Balloons festival, the location is superb, service excellent, room is very tidy and clean and spacious. We travelled with my 4yr old and orginally booked for one queen bed (it was the only bedding option for the special rate) but they'd given us two double beds which was great.
