    The Wayside Motor Inn is conveniently located near to the Canyonlands, Mesa Verde National Park, Monument Valley, Four Corners Monument and Lake Powell area, the Wayside Motor Inn has the largest, cleanest and most comfortable rooms in Monticello. You will be provided with quality accommodations and amenities that make your stay most comfortable. Property amenities include free deluxe continental breakfast, heated outdoor pool and spa, free high speed wireless internet, and copy or fax service available. Rooms are spacious and include two queen beds, free wireless internet, cable TV with extra stations, air conditioning, alarm clock, free local calls, iron and board, coffee maker, hairdryer, microwave, and minifridge.     If you want to visit the Needles District of the Canyonlands NP this is a good place. It's much closer than Moab and of course cheaper. The motel is a... one floor motel and it's build of brick. So it's quiet. This is not a new place but kept clean. Everything is working properly. It was already our third stay. We will come back again. by Christian G.  from Hamburg on 05/09/13

    The front desk was very friendly and helpful. The hotel used to be part of the Best Western chain and still maintains the Best Western standards. The hotel does not have bells and whistles but bells and whistles do not exist in Monticello. The room was clean and a perfect place to get a good night sleep on our trip.

    I recommend stopping in Monticello as an alternative to Moab which is far too busy and expensive. This is an excellent small independent motel. Great value. Includes satisfactory continental breakfast.

    The Wayside Motor Inn is an older motel in a small town. It was very well maintained, the staff was friendly and efficient, the beds were comfortable and it was a great choice for us. We were tired after a long day and it proved a great spot!

    We were on vacation seeing all the eastern Utah parks and stayed here. There is a family style restaurant next door, and the motel offers a free breakfast in the morning. The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Worked for us!

    This is an old motor hotel with a couple well meaning face lifts. Still, the room was clean and quiet, the bed comfy. Staff was friendly as could be. Obviously operates on a shoestring, but who doesn't these days?

    The room was clean, but the hotel seems to have a problem with their guests using the linens. Notices in the room about soiled linens may be charged to the guest.     We were very pleased with the room. Everything was clean and pleasant. The room was quiet, and we had a wonderful night's rest.. Internet worked with no difficulties. The continental breakfast included fresh fruit and was perfect for us. We would definitely stay here whenever we were in town.

    The signs in the breakfast room telling guests not to take food with them "we do NOT provide lunch" are a little bit exaggurated if you take a closer look at WHAT kind of breakfast is provided... this isn't even continental breakfast standard...

    Earlier reviews talked about non-smoking rooms that smelled of smoke, so we were apprehensive, but that wasn't an issue at all. The room was as nice and quiet as in any hotel. However, the wifi was attrocious - dropped me every minute or so, and there was no one to fix it or even to talk to about it - the front desk girl knew nothing. You can't ask […] for your money back for something that's free, but I depend on internet access when I travel, and this was a great frustration to have it promised and not delivered. Read more

    Wayside Motor Inn--adequate. There seemed to be water seeping into the carpet in the area of the bathroom sink. Not pleasant to walk on. The free breakfast was far from adequate--what's wrong with decaf coffee, not instant? None available. Juice didn't taste very good. The young lady at the desk was very pleasant.
