Unfortunately, the bridge we would have taken frequently was closed and made the location more difficult that we had expected, but we quickoly learned our way around. Male front desk associate was not very friendly, but others were. Breakfast was great!

There was no interaction from the staff. Everyone seemed very cold. The pool area was filled with people drinking, even though the rules state no food or drink in pool area. My kids should have been able to swim without the noise and chaos of drunk people (I don't want them exposed to that.) The shower walls were not clean, but the rest of the room […] seemed to be clean and comfortable. Hotel in poor condition and in bad neighborhood. Room wasn't very clean. I had to go through 8 door keys, and still never worked properly. When asked at front desk about keys, lady was gruff with me and treated me like I was a bother to her. Never staying here again no matter how inexpensive they make it.

The stay was fine-not happy with smell in the room when we arrived-so got room spray and that helped. It smelled musty. But over all it was OK. Breakfast was very good, with a good variety of food.

We had a great time staying here for Grandma's marathon. While the decor was a little dated, this was the perfect marathon hotel. There was a shuttle that took us straight to the start line at 5.30am. The free Breakfast on marathon day was served starting 4.30am, and included all the pre-race things you want such as hard boiled eggs, yoghurt etc. There […] were also newspapers laid out to read at each table and bananas to take with you. We had a poolside room so after the marathon, I could just dunk myself in the pool to keep loose. The hotel is just over the bridge into Superior. Superior itself is not as beautiful as Duluth, but you are so close to Duluth that it does not make a difference. Approximately a 10 minute drive to the marathon finish line. Read more

The hotel did a good job of accommodating the runners for Grandma's Marathon, including opening breakfast at 4:30am the morning of so we could get breakfast before the event. any other weekend the hotel would be as expected for the price, however for grandma's marathon weekend, every hotel in the region doubles their rates and force a two-night stay...annoying to say the least. while the hotel hosts their runners well, you certainly aren't getting what one would expect for that weekend rate. it's an old hotel and our room […] smelled of smoke, despite the no-smoking requirements...guessing they would need to rip out the carpet, paint the walls to really freshen the place up. We recently stayed at the bridge view hotel in superior, WI. We had a blast. They kept the pool open late for the few guests checking in late, helped us with a late checkout without any qualms and gave my favorite pet treats when we asked. I spent the weekend in Duluth sightseeing, having never been there. I almost spent the night in Duluth but glad I didn't. I saved a lot of money by staying here and it is literally 5 minutes drive time to Canal Park. We were in the room next to the breakfast area and it was very noisy in the AM. Hearing the waffle maker every 30 seconds sounded like a delivery truck backing up. After reading the online reviews we found the hotel as previously rated. The room was clean and updated, the location fairly easy to find. My only concern about this location (as I'm finding about other Bestwesterns I've stayed at) is the construction. Bestwestern seems to be making a pactice of buying up old concrete motor lodges and adding to them. […] The new sections are not sound proof and and any activity in the hallway sounds as if it's coming from inside the room. The bed was super comfortable. The bathroom was super tiny. The door was very tough to get open and the bathroom door was a tight tough door as well which would be loud in the middle of the night. The breakfast was amazing. The staff were polite and prompt with requests.

Room seemed cleaned but smelled musty (older hotel). Bathroom door did not have trim around it, so you could see the inner door frame. The bathroom door, the room door, and the door to outside at end of hall did not shut properly. We had to force them to close. I really liked our room at the Bridgeview Motor Inn but it faced the street and was kinda loud with the window open. The room was excellent however, very clean and nice. The pool was great as well as the hot tub. The breakfast was cheap and not very tasty. Over all it was close to everything in downtown Duluth and was a good deal.

While I booked a room with two queen beds, we were given a room with two full size beds. Definitely not comfortable. The smell of chlorine from the pool was overpowering as well.

Just an average hotel right across the bridge from Duluth. Nothing special about this hotel. The pool was open until midnight which was nice. There is a decent sports bar (Schultz's) a block away with great drink specials and a nice atmosphere. Would stay at this hotel again.

The plumbing in our bathroom leaked, which probably explained the mildew-covered bath mat. Breakfast is provided adjacent to the swimming pool so be prepared to have hotel guests splashing around a few feet away from your breakfast table and the smell of chlorinated water as a backdrop. We really enjoyed our stay with this hotel. They had a lot of nice plants that made it homey. The staff was excellent and it was clean. The rooms are a little noisy and they do not have a fan to stifle the sounds (FYI).

Though not impressed with Superior WI, I would recommend this Best Western. It is older, but well maintained. Seemed fairly quiet, even when fairly full. Surprisingly nice breakfast array.

Rude and unplesant front staff! Chlorine smell from the pool could be smelled outside of the of the deoor as well as in the second floor pool view rooms. Refrigerator wouldn't keep anything cold. Bed was incredibly hard. Wouldn't stay there again.

We brought our 3 little dogs along to Superior to visit my daughter for her birthday. This hotel does not charge for pets, there is no weight restriction on the pets and there is no limit to number of pets per room. They just require that the pets not be left unattended. We stayed in a poolside suite and it was VERY nice! We saw a few other families […] there with their dogs. We noticed the hotel even has outside electric for those really cold nights when you want to keep your car's oil warm? They had a nice free breakfast served poolside which included waffles, toast/bagels, hard-boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, oatmeal, cold cereals, donuts, juice,coffee,tea & milk. During the week, they have happy hour where you are allowed two complimentary alcoholic drinks along with snacks like: chips and salsa, chili, cheese & crackers, chips & dip. There is a gameroom, and a pool table and foosball table, along with a large T.V. in the pool area. I also noticed a small workout room with a few pieces of equipment. They also have a gift shop where you can purchase anything from a swimsuit (if you forgot to bring yours), to snacks, to beer. The hotel is very conveniently located to both Duluth and Superior (just at the foot of the bridge after returning to Superior from Duluth). The only complaint I had the first night was the loud blowing sound the heater made when 'kicking in'. This could easily be remedied with earplugs or by just turning the heat way down at night, so it doesn't run as much. (I like strict quiet when I sleep) The beds and pillows were SUPER comfy! We slept quite comfortably. The suite we had, had two sinks with mirrors for getting ready. Great when you have more than one female! Also had a sleeper sofa, two t.v.'s , a mini-fridge and a microwave. The hotel is also located next door to a steakhouse that has an approval rating of 90% (which we did not get around to trying on this trip). As I walked in to check in there was a strong chlorine smell that came from the pool and gave the hotel a musty feeling. The checkin was smooth, but the rooms were pretty poor. For hotel standards this was a pretty poor hotel. More on the lines of a motel feeling.
