The hotel is great if you want to just relax in an all-inclusive setting. The staff goes out of the way to meet your requests, very well planned housekeeping services.The only downside was there was no laundry facility (while travelling with kids this maybe important) otherwise its a great hotel to stay in.

Staff was outstanding. Pool needed a little attention. The extras like water skiing and the catamaran was an additional plus. The food was very good with a good selection. The staff is really what made this a great vacation.

We are an American couple who stayed for a long weekend in April. We loved Mango Bay and Barbados in general. The resort was lovely - not a huge American-style resort but more of a boutique-style. We ate all of our meals there, enjoyed included activities like a Catamaran boat trip out to swim with the turtles, a glass bottom boat trip that took us out to snorkel over a sunken ship, and water skiing. The beach there was lovely and we could take nice walks in both directions. The resort was also walking distance to really nice shops and bars and places to eat. They had entertainment every night we were there - a dj, a local band, a dance show - so after dinner we could enjoy some entertainment. I was worried that people in other reviews wrote about noise, but the noise was from great shows which we were really glad to have right on site. All in all, a terrific experience. All the other guests of the hotel were British, which also made for a very nice feeling of really being away. Read more

Mango Bay is a lovely retreat. The food is delicious, the staff more than accommodating, and the amenities varied and excellent. We were among the few American guests. The resort is in the town of Holetown which has very expensive upscale shopping and some nice bars and clubs if you want to go out after dinner, but Mango Bay always provides after dinner entertainment, so there is little reason to leave. Mango Bay faces a lovely stretch of beach on the Caribbean side of the island. The water is pretty calm; there are various tours and water sports offered by the hotel and jet skis offered next door if you like. All in all it was one of the best buys we ever had in an island vacation, and we have traveled quite a bit. Read more

We didn't get hot water in the shower for the first three days and got into a heated argument with the front desk on this issue. Service quality of the staff varies from person to person and rooms weren't very clean. But location was excellent. Food quality was manageable.

Just got back from the Mango Bay resort with my husband and 12-year-old son. Frankly disappointed with our vacation, though the hotel service was excellent and the people friendly. We stayed in a standard room. The noise from the karoke bar was unbelievably loud - like trying to sleep in a disco hall - and went on till 2am. Two other nights were also […] marred with the bass notes of the piano bar which went on till 4am. Frankly they should have paid us to sleep there - it was torture. We are early risers and we love to explore. Bridgetown, St. Nicholas Abbey (rum tastings), Bathseba, Harrison's Cave - all worth a visit. Restuarant food ok. Bar great. Nice to be with fellow Brits (mainly over 40s). Mango Bay is a victim of its location in Holetown. Read more

This hotel is very small which makes it easy to relax and get to know fellow guests. Their beach has recently been washed away which was the biggest downside to this resort. The staff are exceptionally friendly and overall we had a wonderful time.

I write this review as someone who stays in 4 & 5* hotels around the world quite frequently. Overall we had a nice time at the Mango Bay, its quite a small hotel but that means there is lots of opportunity to interact with the other guests. Staff are very friendly. The food is good for an all inclusive hotel with only 2 buffet nights each week, the […] rest is a la carte (even for lunch!). The location of the hotel in Holetown on the west coast is also ideal for walking up and down the beaches and visiting other hotels & restaurants in the area. Its also over the road from a newly opened shopping mall and down the street from the local supermarket. In addition the included water activities are very good - the catamaran trip was excellent!! Our criticisms were (1) that the hotel looks very 'tired' and needs a good lick of paint, if you compare this to other 4* hotels we visited in the same area it wasn't of the same standard (we weren't impressed by the standard rooms and asked to be moved - they weren't 4* quality), and (2) there needs to be more attention to clearing up empty glasses both around the pool and in the bar, often there were dirty glasses and ashtrays left for hours and in some cases overnight. This has the potential to be a great boutique style hotel but we wouldn't be comfortable recommending this to others if you are looking for a good 4*, its a 3.5* at very best. Read more

It's very difficult machine to write a review about somewhere, but suffice to say that if you are looking to relax....The Mango Bay is the place to go. The food is excelent and the service is second to none. I read plenty of reviews before booking/leaving and was a little concerned about the weather reports for August and comments about the stream […] behind the hotel. Well if you questioning your decision, please make sure you don't. We had tropical storms which generally lasted no more than 20-30 minutes. After the sky had cleared, we were back in 29-31 degree sunshine. The stream behind the hotel broke and through twice during our stay and it really made no difference to the hotel or the holiday. Barbados is a wonderful place to go.....and The Mango Bay certainly helps to enhance the holiday further. Read more

We only stayed at Mango Bay for one night, as a bit of a treat. It definitely was a treat. We had 2 excellent 3 course lunches, a delicious 3 course dinner, fab breakfast and plenty of cocktails. We also made full use of the facilities - going water-skiing (you have to book, but they'll do this before you arrive if you want), which was amazing! And […] using pedaloes and snorkelling equipment. The pool, beach, bar and restaurant were lovely. The only thing we weren't so sure about was Saturday night's entertainment ( a series of Bajan dancers). l'hotel è molto pulito ed il servizio è ottimo. le persone della reception sono disponibili ed eccezionali, ti risolvono qualunque problema. l'hotel è vicino a locali notturni e comodo ai mezzi di trasporto locali. l'unico neo trovato è la quantita' di mangiare che è un poco scarsa ma buona.
