I will be back again. Stayed at this hotel in Aug, 2011, for an anniversary get-away and this visit was even nicer than that one! Eddy, the desk attendant, was super helpful. I'll book with this hotel again this August!

The outside of the hotel was nice. No issues with parking. The lobby was also nice and clean. The rooms and bedding could use some updating but were a nice size. The pool was a little cold. The beach was not overly busy which was nice. The cookies that they provided were good. The staff was friendly. They do a free happy hour but the line was so long it wasn't worth my time.The breakfast was okay. The normal pastries, cereal and the basics. Hope this helps.

I was overall pleased with my stay. They let me check into the room early without any issues and we got to enjoy the beach for a few hours earlier than planned. The staff was friendly. The pool was very clean and there wasn't alot of people in the pool. Even though the parking lot was full at night, things were quiet. My only complaint is that there is only one ice machine, and it was out of ice when we first needed it. I called down to the lobby, and they said someone must have filled up their cooler, even though there is a sign that says not to do this. We had to wait a few hours for the ice machine to fill up again before we were able to get some. I would recommend this hotel and will more than likely be staying there again this summer.

We were pleased with the quality, condition, cleanliness, and comfort of the room. The ocean view from our balcony was beautiful. The staff was courteous. We would highly recommend this hotel.

"Hotel University Inn"
Ripped carpet, wifi did not work well, room was pretty beat up. Not worth the money spent.
It needs refurbishing. It's very old, and nothing is being spent on mainetnance. It is very convenient, and the residential neighborhood, and all the trees and birds, are just lovely.

saw cockroach in the room before going to sleep, and had some yahoo's out at the pool drinking half the night, kept us up till 1am.

Killed a couple of roaches in our room, iron had the tip of the sole plate broken off, continental breakfast was minimal: juice, milk, coffe, cold cerial, toast, muffins, wireless intenet was inoperable, they said somebody cut the cable and seemed in no hurry to fix it, room had a distinct oder. Choose this hotel because it was close to my mother's […] house in downtown Deland but will probably NOT stay here again; probably worth going a little farther down the road, since this is the only hotel in downtown Deland. "Move in day at Stetson U"
This hotel was right across the street from the school, which made this trip easy. The beds were a little hard, but serviceable. The A/C was difficult to balance. The continental breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.
"Nice and Clean"
This place is great if all you need is a clean place to lay your head. The place has a little age on it but my room was clean, bathroom was clean, staff was friendly, and it is in a nice location. The only reason I wouldn't go back is because DeLand was not conveniently clase to where I needed to be. But other than that, it's a 10.

This hotel was clean and adequate. We were there for a University visit so it suited our needs - a no-frills, reasonable room that was close to campus. I enjoyed the hotel stay. I also enjoyed parking my VStrom motorcycle in sight of the constant surveilance cameras for extra security. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would stay here again.

When we 1st walked into the room it had a bad odor of urine. We had to use a stray to take care of the odor. The desk personal were friendly. Not sure I would stay there again thou.
Staff friendly, helpful, room clean, beds comfortable. Enjoyed the stay.I don,t travel to sit around a hotel so this one suits me just fine. Wouldn,t hesitate to go back again.
