We stayed at the airport hotel since we had a 6am flight. They had a free shuttle that took us to the airport at 4am, which was great. The Tryp is very plain but nice. Reminded us of IKEA. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The only bad thing is the smell in the lobby.

The room was permiated with a rotten eggs or sewer gas smell coming from the bathroom. The smell dispered to some extent with the window open. Except for the smell, the room was clean and well maintained. The desk clerk was one of the nicest and most helpful desk clerks ever encountered any where.

The hotel was wonderful for the purpose of our stay. We were looking for a hotel close to the airport with a shuttle since we had an early morning flight. It was not near anything but the rooms were immaculate and bed really comfy. We did not eat there but others said the food was good. There was a bustop one block away which you could go into Barcelona for 1.35 euros. Have to watch when the buses stop running however. I would not recommend it for a prolonged stay in Barcelona as it was too far from the action and there are equally nice hotels right in Barcelona, but that would be the only reason not to stay there.

It is a great place for staying overnight prior to transferring to a hotel in the city. Room is clean and bed is very comfort. Pick-up service is excellent. We arrived at midnight and called the hotel. The hotel provided free pick-up service in a timely manner. The front dest provided detailed direction for us to take a bus to a hotel in the city. It is a great hotel for the money with everything that a four-star hotel would provide. We strongly recommend it to others who may consider a visit to Barcelona.

We liked the fact that the hotel was close to the airport. However, when we arrived we had to wait over an hour for the shuttle. We could not control the air conditioner in the room. I ordered the stake sandwich at the restaurant and it was the toughest piece of meet that I ever experienced. The only good thing about this place was the price.

I received a great deal on this site. We just stayed for night to catch our next flight home. The hotel is approximately 5 minutes away from the airport, and provides a free shuttle service. The in-hotel restaurant was nice, but the waitstaff could have been better. They didn't seem to care for our business. But I would definitely stay here again. You couldn't even hear noise from the airport.

The hotel is a good location for getting to the airport. The shuttle runs every hour during the day and into the evening. The shuttle driver was a bit surly and thought that our carry on bags were too heavy to lift into the van. My husband, who is a senior citizen, had no trouble lifting them for him. Rooms were clean and quiet. Hotel is a little sterile. Breakfast was great, although the room opened late and we were in a rush to get to the airport. I think they should open the buffet earlier for travelers. There is a lobby bar which has sandwiches and salads for a fairly reasonable price for Barcelona Desk Clerk was very nice in the morning.

The Tryp is sleek and modern and a good stay at the airport. We did not hear airport noise which was a plus, but the hotel itself was not quiet. The atrium seems to amplify every door closing and every conversation from the public area below.

The Hotel was great and the staff was friendly and helpful. The taxi ride was expensive compared to the time it took to get there from the airport. At the airport there was not hotel hotline for a shuttle pick-up.

This hotel looks nice and is near the airport, perfect for our last night in barcleona for an early flight home to the states. well, after checking in we got into our room to find a bathroom that was not clean...mold in the tub and things i did not want to investigate on the floor. Then the worst part of the hotel stay was the mosquiote problem coming from the air conditioning vent. we killed a few (and saw some previous mosquito slaghters on the wall) and stil each got a few rather horrible bug bites overnight. We felt like we were in prison with the low celings and the cramped space. i am still itching the bites i got 4 days ago. I wish I had a realistic review like this before booking and i would have stayed at the renaissance instead.

Tryp is an excellent place to stay if you must catch an early plane out of Barcelona. We turned in our rented car at the airport the night before, caught a van to the Tryp (they come every 20 minutes and are ON TIME), found the hotel modern and spotless with food available almost any hour, and took the van to back the airport in the morning.

rooms clean, Broken shower head, Near airport and nothing else close. Decor of hotel very plain and unappealing. Not much in the way of amenities.Overall I was not impressed.

The only downside I can find on this hotel as a whole was the extremely uncomfortable pillows!

The shuttle service and proximity to the airport were convenient. Otherwise, the hotel was merely adequate. The room was too warm - fortunately the window was able to be opened. The room was okay, the bathroom nothing at all special. Served the purpose of staying close to the airport for one night.

Beautiful hotel for the price. Nice room,large lobby with internet access. I've been to Barcelona before and stayed in a hotel in the city which I recommend if you are staying for more than a night because getting in and out of the city is too troublesome otherwise. This time, we were there for less than 24 hours, as we just had a layover from Rome. However, you can take the bus cheaply into Barcelona (1.30 euro) city center for dinner. From the Catlunya Place it is easy to take the metro around the city but you can ask hotel reception for hints. The bus station is a 2 minute walk, around the corner from the hotel front doors. The shuttle to/from the airport comes every 1/2 hour on the weekends but call ahead of time to figure out what time to catch it from the airport. The shuttle picks you up by Terminal A but Tourist Info can help you with more details. Overall, a good stay.

I was pleasantly surprised by how nice this hotel was for the price. The free shuttle to and from the airport was a big help and saved TONS of money.

I would highly recommend this hotel if you're looking for something close to the airport. The rooms were excellent, bathrooms were very nice, and hotel furnished in very modern decor. They had a nice exercise room with a couple of treadmills/execise equipment. Breakfast buffet was also enjoyable. Only downside - if you want a hotel within walking distance of good restaurants and other attractions, this is not the hotel for you. But if you want a very nice hotel that is a short shuttle ride from the airport, this hotel is perfect.

Hotel was a good value. Classic European room, close to airport and free shuttle were great. In room Minibar at 2am was unexpected surprise. Plenty of space.
