This hotel is right in the heart of Las Ramblas on a small side street. We hardly slept for all the noise below our window. Cars passing , people yelling, doors banging until the wee hours of the morning, Yes, it was close to the historic area, but who can enjoy it when you haven't slept all night? The front desk staff were not too friendly. Internet was not included and was broken when I paid to use it. The quality of the room was that of a 3-star hotel. Other than that, I couldn't have asked for a more ideal location in Barcelona. 1min walk from the metro, right in the middle of the historic neighbourhood.

The hotel is listed as having wireless, it doesn't! I was given 3 different explanations by the person on the desk. I was told they don't have any, it is broken and it works but not on an ipad. The walls are so thin that you hear everything going on in the room next to you and I mean everything. The rooms were so hot and had no temperature controls […] we had to open the window that opened to an internal area that smelt really bad. other rooms with their windows opened added to the ambient noise so you heard the rooms above and below you as well as the room next door. one of the rooms we had contained an in room fridge that hadn't been turned on for a while and smelt pretty rotten. The other room had the cabinet that used to contain a fridge but the fridge had been removed. The room next to us were smoking in their room and it wasn't just cigarettes, you could mell pungent odors when you get out of the elevator. We told the desk and they said that the people in the room said that they were not smoking so there was nothing they could do. there was a vent between our room and the smokers room so our room smelt every time they smoked. Unfriendly staff depressing environment… dark green walls with censored light in labyrinth of corridors… you making step to unknown before light is on and to unknown direction… to the darkness. Room is clean and organized but for some reason uninviting and uncomfortable.

Perfectly located in Barcelona, yes Hotel Gotigo has that. BUT, for a 4 star hotel that was about all. The staff was short and unhelpful especially at the front desk. Very unwelcoming. Our biggest complaint was the air-conditioning was non existant. We had to leave the Balcony door open to get air. Thank goodness it was not summer or winter for that […] matter...AND good we were on the 4th floor. Having the door open was very loud especially when the Party Animals came out from 11:00 to 5:00 in the morning. Read more

This is not a four star hotel. It is in a good location but is dark and dreary. The bar in the main reception seemed never to be open. Panels were falling off in the lifts. There is no provision for tea/coffee making in the rooms and when a cup of tea was requested at 11 o'clock at night at the front desk the receptionist said there were no teabags […] or milk and all he could do was supply boiled water! One would expect staff to do their best to help you when making a request but the impression given was one of indiffference. Wi fi access should be free. It was available but charged for by the hour. the staff at hotel gotico were friendly and helpful. we arrived at 8am and as there was a room empty were allowed to check in right away, no charge, others were dropping off bags at all times of day, no problem. Me and my girlfriend stayed here for two nights april 2013. We specifically chose a room with a doublebed, but as we arrived we got a room with two single beds. As we asked the receptionist about moving to another room, we were told that "80% of our customers ask for a double-bedded room, but only 20% of our rooms have this", and a new room could not […] be given us. The service was quite poor in this matter. Later in our stay we had several problems. My girlfrien asked the receptionist the day before our travel home about directions and timetables for the bus to the airport, to what he answered that he did not know the time, only location, and that we should check by ourselves on the internet for timetables. Again, very poor service, and answers were given in a rude and irritated way which frankly should not happen among hotel service staff. The whole ordeal ruined the hotel experience. The room cleaniness was also poor. There were holes in the bedsheets, and we even had a cockroach in the bathroom our second day of the stay. All in all this can be resumed as the worst hotel stay we have ever experienced. The only positive about this hotel is that within 100 metres there is a subway station. There are though several other hotels within close and even closer range of subways in Barcelona, so you would be wise to stay away from this hotel still. Read more

Hotellin sijainti on hyvä, mutta palvelusta ei valitettavasti voi puhua. Olisi toivonut edes ripaus hymyä ja espanjalaista puheliaisuutta. Läget var bra , mitt i Gotice som är centrum till gamla Brcelona och mitt i de cataloniska området, nära La Ramblas , vilket är en turist område , lugn och fint, rummet var inte det lyx som man förväntar sig för **** Hotell , sängen var lite, frukost ingår inte, rummet var lite, men allmänty ok för det priset.

Fikk dette hotellet som erstatningshotell pga overbooking. God service fra Hotels.com, og fikk et veldig bra hotell i forhold til hva jeg hadde betalt! Ganske lite rom, men veldig moderne, rent og stilig. Romslig bad og veldig hyggelig betjening. Nære Metro, og grei gåavstand til La Rambla.

La situation de l’hôtel est délicate pour les bagages, rue très étroite et très passante. Pas de parking dans l'hôtel, alors que le site HOTEL.COM indique" parking gratuit". En fait le plus proche est à 500 mètres à 45 euros par jour. Le petit déjeuner est hors de prix. Sinon le confort me semble un peu surévalué pour un 4 étoiles

Personnel peu sympathique, hôtel sombre et pas bien entretenu. Pas de service internet wireless (dur à comprendre en 2011!). Très cher pour ce que l'on a. Je donnerais un deux étoiles pour cet hôtel et non un 4 étoiles. Seul point positif: localisation très central. Choisissez un autre hôtel, il y en a plusieurs autres dans le secteur.
