The hotel is located right outside of HNL and was amazingly convenient. The parking fee was not warranted, in my opinion. The staff was not particularly welcoming. The room was adequate.

OK hotel. We stayed there simply because we arrived on a late evening flight and this was the closest hotel to the airport with a shuttle. Hotel was somewhat old and next to a noisy highway but only about 5 minutes from the airport. Staff was pleasant except for one baggage handler. No bar but does have a little store attached to the lobby with food […] and alcohol for purchase and a restaurant open usual hours. Room was comfortable with decent bedding, flat screen tv. Hotel shuttle operates every half hour 24/7. Overall about what I expected. OK for an overnight or two but would not use for a central vacation point. Would stay again for an overnight if I ever return to Honolulu. If road noise bothers you I would ask for a room away from the highway. Read more

It is in a neighborhood that has nearly no services (restaurants). It does not seem to be a safe place to walk around. The hotel restaurant is mediocre and expensive. The receptionist and waitress were unenthusiastic. The main highway is adjacent to the hotel and noisy.

I needed a hotel for one night prior to our departure from Honolulu - and this was a good choice. We called and they picked us at the airport at no time, and a shuttle back to the airport in the morning worked well too (if only the driver didnt ask for the tips so obviously - is that still a "free shuttle"?). The staff is wonderful - we arrived at 10 […] am and we were given a room! Our room on the 9th floor faced the airport, which is fine with me. The area around the hotel is a bit noisy (highways all around) and not good for walks (although there is a small food court within walking distance). The room was clean and partially renovated, the bedding was nice. All and all, if I needed a room for one night, I would stay here. If you have rented a car and don't mind driving around to get to Waikiki, etc., this hotel isn't a bad place to stay. You'll save money. The breakfast in the hotel restaurant is pretty good, too.

Hotel was perfect for a quick overnight stay. I had a very early morning flight out of HNL, so I flew over from a neighbor island to stay the night. The shuttle was efficient and FREE to get to and from the hotel and airport. Everyone was friendly. The hotel is a bit dated, but it was very clean. Lights were unplugged so had to grope my way in the dark to plug in the lamp to make the light switch work when entering the room. Bathrooms aren't the cleanest and the noise from the highway can be heard all night. An okay hotel if you just need a place for the night but they should lower the price for the service.

We chose this hotel because though the BWPlaza is only 1 of 2 airport hotels, it is convenient for visiting family nearby and our first two visits had been more than what we expected for the general 2-star rating. However, this time we were quite surprised by how 'tired' the standard king room was. There was not a problem with 'cleanliness' and it's […] expected that this size room would have a teeny bathroom (but ample counter space). The problem was the general condition. The table leg had a major vertical split that was held together with two screws. Two of three lampshades need replacement. They were completely stripped and wouldn't screw into the unit so it just sits lopsided on the unit. The staff is friendly and the bed is comfortable for a good night's sleep. Chose due to location by airport. We stayed 2 nights, and they charge for parking (you can negotiate the rate). They charged us $12 (down from $25). We kept the car 1 day, took it back so they wouldn't charge us for the second day. Rented from Enterprise. When we took the car back, Enterprice brought us back to the hotel because it is so close. This is a very convenient hotel for an overnight stay near the airport. The shuttle service was perfect, the service was good, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. Only negative was the food. Not great and over priced. Ask staff for directions to local eateries.

Delapidated envirnment. Unbelievably basic furniture with poor mainteneance level. Shower barely functional. The one advantage was a computer with printer in teh delapidated lobby but the printer had no ink or cartridge and the print was unreadable.

After being on an airplane for 6 1/2 hours, we felt it was very easy to find. The Staff was wonderful. The room was nice and beds were comfortable. Easy walking distance to shore. We had no problem with amenities, as we were not planning to 'plant' ourselves for a week. Very nice, adequate room. If the traffic noise is bothersome, turn on the A/C.

Check in ladies \were very nice and even found us a king (which we initially booked but wasn't avail at checkin). However, we were given room 1214 RIGHT next to AC room. We heard the rumble of the ACs all night. Which probably drowned out the freeway traffic. We did not have breakfast, instead the shuttle (very nice driver) was there and about to leave […] so we headed to the airport.
