Furama Riverfront is not located in a centralized location but Singapore is small enough to get around by taxi. I would say everything is within a 10 minute taxi ride away. The hotel was very comfortable. The restaurant for breakfast was good and dinner was excellent. I liked the location near the river where it is easy to take a boat taxi to get around. The only complaint I have is that you have to pay for internet. This should be a free service.

I stayed in Riverfront for 1 week. The room was an "executive room", on the last floor: 19th. Everything was ok, clean, quiet, internet speed is ok also. Surroundings are fine, although you have to cross a big lane to go to the river. There is a bridge anyway but you have to walk a little.

We stayed in March with our family of 6 and were quite pleased. The staff was very friendly. We liked how it was just a short walk to Chinatown and taxis to anywhere are not expensive. From the airport we hired a bus just for our family of 6. It was $50 U.S. for anywhere you wanted to go. We went to the botanical gardens and it was about $6 U.S. but […] we needed 2 taxis. The only 2 issues we had were first, the rooms had too much air freshener or fragrance. One was particularly bad and we asked the desk if there was a way to air out the room. The windows did not open for safety reasons so they asked us to leave the room while they brought in an ionic air purifier. I am not sure why we had to leave but the air filter got rid of the chemical fragrance smell. The second issue was breakfast and the high prices of the restaurant. The breakfast buffet was $25 and we were not very hungry. A bowl of oatmeal was $7 which was what most of us ended up having. We asked if there was somewhere else nearby to go for breakfast and no one could give us a suggestion. It would have been nice if the hotel had more reasonable prices as food in the area is not that expensive. The room was comfortable but the beds were hard as in most of Asia. We loved the view, the area was safe and the rooms were large. We definitely recommend this hotel but you may want to ask them ahead of time not to use air freshener or fragranced cleaning supplies in your room. Read more

The hotel is nice. Gym is great and the breakfast is awesome. Location is lacking. It's quick by taxi but it's not as close to some downtown areas that I was expecting. WiFi strength was also very poor in my room, and was very overpriced.

Nice hotel, Great Indonesian buffet as well as breakfast buffet. Disappointed by the $25 a day for WiFi!!! And can only be used on 1 computer... Location is not great. Pros: We booked a club room and our room was huge with a separate sitting room. The club room includes free evening (2 hours) of nibbles and drinks - the food and drinks were very good (and good value). The Hotel is not on the river front but only a 5 to 10 minute walk to the river where ther are plenty of bars and restaurants. When I was checking out I was told by an arrogant girl in reception to wait in the long queue, but I was in club executive room and I should check out in club counter! I was waiting there for 10 minutes without anybody asking me and coming to me.... It was very unpleasant experience to be treated in that way as guest in executive room...

For the most part, I had a lovely stay at Furama Riverfront Hotel. However, there were some aspects that drove me nuts. The internet charges for this hotel were extremely high. I had to call an outside maintenance service to troubleshoot connectivity issues. This hotel is lovely for families and guests who are on vacation and need quality time by the pool. It is not for business travelers. The room was really cold despite having the fans turned off. I even called hotel maintenance to fix the problem but there was no way to control the temperature in the room. The best part of this hotel was the friendly staff. Almost everyone was kind and helpful. Also, it was well situated in Singapore with access to lots of transport. We went to the room since it was almost midnight and the room was so smelly we could not breath. We ended up spending almost $100.00 in data charges trying to find another hotel. I paid a lot for this hotel. What did I find? It's right next to a "karaoke" bar - ie where call girls can be solicited. Be prepared to see hookers walking all over the hotel, and especially at night. You will see them in the lobby and in the corridor as you are walking to the elevator.
