For the most part stay was good. The one thing that was instrumental in us booking here was the fact that the hotel offered shuttle service locally. Even double checked that prior to arrival. So when we needed serve the next morning down to the lock college about a mile away...right down the main road, we were told no shuttle because of the graduation […] going on. Everytime we come to the Hotel Bethlehem we always are treated excellent. The location is great too. The shops are just a few steps away and the casino is a short drive. Very conveniently located and the service is ALWAYS excellent. The rooms are very clean and the beds are extremely comfortable.

Gorgeous historic building in the heart of old Bethlehem had a great, elegant vibe. Fitness room wasn't much to look at, and the restaurant was a little pricey but it was overall a good experience.

Very nice stay. Great location and service is great, from check in to check out, people working in the lounge, and all bartenders. The bar is very nice and food is very good. It is a historic hotel, so some of the things like the room, elevator, and plumbing can be a little loud. Get a room away from the elevators and a higher floor if possible. Went to Bethlehem to attend a training conference, elected to stay at the Historic Hotel Bethlehem due to its proximity to the course and the discount provided by the group rate. Right off main street, several brew pubs and restaurants in the area and easy walk to majority of attractions. Historic hotel, overall well maintained. One of the elevators […] was out during my stay. Efficient check in, first impression of room was = very small, wall paper peeling off in several places and odor that seemed to permeate everything. Not awful, just aged. Plenty of hot water, good toiletries and HD flat screen, internet in room Everything was clean however, and the staff were very friendly and energetic. Great pub/restaurant in the lobby. Overall I had a good experience, if I am ever required to go to Bethlehem, I would stay here again. Fortunately we only spent one night in this hotel. It's old and in mediocre condition. The service was nonexistent. One elevator was broken. The room was minuscule and the bathroom even smaller. The walls were so thin we could hear them talking in the next room. Bed was lumpy. Don't stay here. There is new Hyatt nearby

We had a great one night stay at Hotel Bethlehem! The hotel employees were kind and helpful and our room was nice and clean! The historic aspects of the hotel made it so unique. We ate dinner at The Melting Pot, which is right up the block in walking distance. It was perfect for our belated Valentine's Day celebration.

This is our second stay at this hotel. We re-booked because of our first stay. This room was larger than our first one. I would suggest to the hotel that they keep the lavatory in the same room as the water closet and tub. I was concerned about shaving in the main room while my wife was sleeping.

Me and my wife have been staying here every year since 2004. We were married in the hotel and have seen many positive changes in the Hotel. To charge your guests $10 to park in a Hotel where you are already paying $130+/night is sad. Especially when providing the excuse that "it's the cheapest in the city", it should be free for your overnight "guests" […] or at least raise the cost of the rooms $10 to hide the code and not come off as cheap as your low parking rate suggests. This is the 10th or 11th time we have stayed at this hotel, usually once in the summer and once in the winter. Excellent as always. Everything about the hotel is excellent, the staff are very helpful, the location is in the middle of downtown with available off street parking. Everything was great in the hotel. I have a few minor suggestions. The parking garage roof leaks salt onto your windshield, if you park facing the outside wall (it is an open garage with a half wall). I could not remove it even in a car wash. Had to scrape it with a razor blade.

Our family has being goint to this hotel for the past 3 years during the Christmas season. We love its decor and ammenities and the best part is the Sunday brunch which our grandson loves to see Santa. It is the best location in town. We can walk every where thus for avoiding the traffic and parking problems.

We recetly went to the Hotel Bethlehem for a weekend in December. It is undoubtedly their busiest time of year. The staff seemed very unprepared and overwhelmed with the amount of visitors. There was a wedding, holiday guests, and other tourists entering the hotel to grab a drink at the bar or take pictures of the grand lobby. The lobby and downstairs […] is very nice. The room was kind of small but it is expected with an old hotel. It must have had some moisture issues because we had a loud dehumidifier in the middle of the room that was space we really didnt have to offer. Going to dinner was the worse part. The Bar was packed and couldn't get drinks without waiting 20 minutes for your turn. Dinner was over a 3 hour event with an hour between getting drinks, appetizers, and dinner. Needless to say we were in no mood for dessert. It ruined our night and probably our stay. Perhaps the problems on a non-holiday date would not have the same issues. Read more

This is a wonderfully maintained historical hotel. The service is exceptional, the room was nice. I recommend the king size rooms. Bigger than normal rooms. At Christmas time they spared no expense in decorating down to the smallest detail. Just beautifully appointed. Keep up the good work.

The public rooms are grand, the guest rooms "of the period." That means comfortable but small, including a diminutive (yet marble) bathroom. Charge for dog was $75, highest we've ever paid. But he was greeted with smiles and understand it prevents the place from being totally overrun by pooches. We enjoyed lunch in the restaurant.

We have a son at Muhlenberg and daughter at Lehigh. We love to stay at Bethlehem hotel when visiting, and enjoy the historic downtown. So much to do and so many great places to eat. We are from MN, and find the views of Lehigh Valley so beautiful.

It would help a great deal if they moved the smokers away from the front doors. To enter the hotel you have to walk through a haze. Have them smoke away from the entry.
