The hotel was adequate and the location convenient for the event I attended. The price was reasonable. I appreciated the free continental breakfast. The breakfast room--an interior room without windows--is small and was crowded both days I was there. Alternate seating is in the more pleasant lobby with windows! Also at this Best Western, unlike at other BWs where I've stayed, the towels noticeably scratchy, not soft, are either old or require different laundering.

This might be the nicest hotel based right on the ocean at Ocean Beach. The staff was very helpful, the room immaculate, and the location second to none. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the area, but I won't stay anywhere but here in the future. You can't go wrong with an ocean front suite!

We needed a last min getaway for a few days to unwind and enjoy a romantic getaway. The hotel staff was awesome very friendly made us common folk feel like celebrities. Great service location and atmosphere . If your dog people you will love this hotel very pet friendly. We will be staying here again and bring our dog as well . The ac in the room was a lil uncopertive however the weather was perfect so not much use was needed. Room service food was great small portions but very tasty. Location is great have drinks on the. 9 h floor lounge and what the game from a spectacular view.

This suburban San Diego motel is 3 miles from Marine Corps Air Station Miramar and within 20 miles of the San Diego Wild Animal Park, SeaWorld, and San Diego International Airport. University of California, San Diego and the San Diego Zoo are both a 20-minute drive away.

On a ten day trip to southern California, we stayed in various hotels. This one was one of our favorites. "Jim at front desk is good but none of others are"
They just dont have a sense of service. All they can tell you is rules and policys. Internet connection is very slow.

"Where's the night manager?"
There were about about 50 Air Force Guys staying in the Hotel - They were dinking, slaming doors, yelling and running through out the hotel until 3 in the morning. NO ONE WITH THE HOTEL STOPPED THEM!!!!

"Good hotel, comfortable, close to the freeway"
nice hotel, comfortable, clean rooms and plenty of parking. Breakfast is awful !

"Best Western Miramar close to freeways"

I and my friend had stayed for 1 night at Best Western Plus hotel for a brief visiting San Diego. It was overexpected services. The room is super clean, very comfortable, great breakfast served even sefl served. The staff is very friendly. Only the location is a little bit confusing with road and direction. I would recommend this hotel to all.

"Wear socks or sandals while walking"
the stay was decent. we were there for a basketball even for the weekend. the only complaint i have is the floors. so dirty. my feet were black within the first 30 mins. who knows how often they clean the floors. so, i advise you to wear socks or sandals while staying in these rooms. other than that, it's an decent place to stay. you're near the freeway, […] and other shopping areas. "Front desk was soooo slow!"
Took us over 1/2 hour to get checked in and there were only 2 people in line in front of us - the desk clerk seemed to be running in slow motion! By the time we finally got our keys there were four or five more people in line behind us. Then, the clerk apparently only coded our keys for one night so we had to go back down the next night to even be […] able to get into our room - it took 45 minutes to get served this time!!! very clean and confy..although if you have a need for a special room with handicap accesibility you must call hotel directly your request thru hotels.com or any other website will not be honored..this is what I was told..also it said on their website that they were close to marines recruit depot..they ar not.. they are about 14 miles away.
"The Hotel is great for truckers."
There were lots of semi's in the very small parking lot. The snack machine only exists on the third floor and it would not accept bills during the 10 day stay I had even after letting the desk know. The rooms are very nice and clean. I may or may not stay there again.
"Decent Hotel - No Issues"
Keep in mind this is a 2.5 Star Hotel and you'll be happy. You'll have kids running around in the summer as more tourists come to enjoy San Diego Area. Location was close to my business meeting so it was great. No problem with Highway noise. Hot belgian waffle available for breakfast!!

I've stayed at this hotel numerous times and have always been impressed. It's a clean and quiet hotel. The occasional military plane is of no disturbance to me. I've been in several different style rooms and each one has been very comfortable and relaxing.

1. I have requested for a non smoking room, but the room assigned to me smells like cigarette smoke. 2. The receptionist has no customer service appeal, no smile, no how are you today? 3. I can't believe they still have those vaccum tube televisions, they should have take advantage of black friday shopping for flat tvs and replaced all their vacuum […] tube televisions. 4. "Not really worth it."
Although the location was convenient, there is too much traffic noise from a nearby street. Seems to be a convenient stop for many people including truckers, however there also seems to be alot of people coming and going all through the night and the noises were simply too much to get a good night sleep. "Not Bad at ALL"
I generally don't stay at Best Westerns, but it was a matter of convenience. Everything was good at this hotel except one thing. The carpet in the room needed steam cleaning badly. Not just a vacuum job. I walked barefoot to the bathroom to take a shower, when I got in the shower, dirt ran down the drain from the bottom of my feet. I like staying here. It is an incredible value for a business hotel room. There is not much to say about the neighborhood, being at the eastern end of the Miramar airfield, but the room is comfortable and it is easy to get to.

The hotel was clean, neat & quiet. The staff were nice. That's great for a basketball tournament weekend with the number of teams staying at the local hotels. "Excellent hotel with breakfast"
This is one of the best Best Westerns that I have been to. The room is as large as a suite, including a couch and desk with leather chair. It's also very clean and comfortable. The room includes free wireless internet, which was better than watching the TV in the room. The free continental breakfast was also one of the best I've seen. There is plenty […] of food, including hardboiled eggs, cereal, toast, waffles, fruit, coffee, tea - all the things I love for breakfast! The desk clerks were also very friendly.
